Masculine

Hello everyone!

Today I come with a quick and easy masculine card.

Only four steps to do this card!
1. Fold the base card, double the top page with a paper of another color and tear both papers simultaneously from top to bottom to get a similar line on both papers.
2. Take a white piece of paper in the same size as the card and emboss it.
3. Punch a word 3 times and stick it together.
4. Glue all parts as following:
- the colored strip with a slight distance under the torn side of the base card,
- the embossed paper under the torn side - now you have the top of the card,
- washi tape and the die-cut word!

I added a few splashes in black using a brush!

....what I used!

+ black, white and turquoise cardstock

Thanks for reading!

Dream Factory - Reminder

Hello!

Today I would like to remind to our current challenge at the Dream Factory. - This month's movie is: Three wishes for Cinderella.
Not only princesses can be used for this but also snow and woodlands, animals - especially owls, pigeons, horses ..... and, of course, shoes! - (See my first project)!

I do not own a princess stamp, so I had to innovate! ;)
To get my princess, I used a ScrapBerry's stamp and 3 stamps from Scrap Plaisir! ...(see picture below)
But now, in order:
The first thing I did with the help of an acrylic block, was a big pink watercolor spot on the place where the dress should later be. Then I stamped on this spot with two different flower stamps, one in Melon Mambo and one in Bermuda Bay and the dress was done! - The bodice is a leaf without stalk, stamped in black.
Next I covered the dress with a mask (made with the same stamps), stamped the girl's head and arms and colored the subject - with felt-tip pens, as always!

After coloring, I used a Heidi Swapp stencil (+ the mask ) to put the hearts in the background with some Melon Mambo. - I played a bit with the water brush to make the whole softer and I also added a few turquoise color accents!
Finally I die-cut the birds (Memory Box), sat one on the girl's hand and two on a small branch, stamped the sentiment, trimmed the image and glued it to the white base card!
Ah, I forgot, the feet are drawn by hand.

Thanks for reading! .....hope you like my Cinderella!

Noël

Hello everyone!
It remains cold today, the sun is barely visible, my throat hurts and I really do not want to go out ..... so I did a Christmas card!

To start I stamped the word cloud with Chocolate Chip (StampinUp) on the white paper panel,
then I head embossed the stars with white embossing powder (StampinUp) and colored them very lightly with water and Sahara Sand (StampinUp),
next I die cut the trees (Scrap Plaisir), glued them onto brown and turquoise paper scraps and finally to the white panel, just over the word Noël.
For the last step I glued the panel onto the card, put a few pearl pen dots between the stars ...and scribbled around the edges!  Voilà!

The word cloud (Scrap Plaisir) is the same kind of stamp as the one on last Sunday's card.

Swapp #9

Hello everyone!
Today I have a New Year's card to show - or rather many New Year cards! :))

This card and her eleven twins were created for a Swapp. (See the story below)

I stamped a lot of hearts (Fiskars) with Whisper White (StampinUp) on turquoise panels, added some glitter spray and stuck them onto white cards! Then I die-cut the branches, glued them to the panels, attached the charms with silver thread and fixed the snowflakes with glue dots. Finally I stamped the word-cloud on each card!
To point-out the words Bonne Année (Happy New Year), I stamped them once again with turquoise on white paper, heat embossed it clear, cut it out, and stuck it over the already existing word.
!The cloud is composed with all those words we love to use for New Year wishes here in France!

...........................

The story....

It all started one day with a StampinUp workshop and since then we are a really nice group of girls.
As you can guess, we are all addicted to stamping! If time permits, we like to tinker together for an afternoon and sometimes we love to challenge ourselves. - In general it is a swapp and this is already our ninth!!

Here's what my girlfriends did and what I brought home!

The theme was New Year and we had to use the charm - all on a 10 x 14 cm card!

Hurray it snows!

Hello everyone!
No, we do not have snow here, but it's very cold! - Very cold for our area!

Well, I will not complain, I'm sitting here in a warm room and made this card.

I did not like my Santa stamps so I took this Snowman from Katzelkraft - I love this funny guy who is having fun in the snow! .....I just colored his nose and the firs.
The sentiment says: Hurray it snows! (youpi is from Stampin Up and Il neige from Scrap Plaisir)
... and that it snows really nice, I put a lot of small snowflakes with a white gel pen on the turquoise panel!

Hot Glue and Ink

Hello everyone!
Today I did something completely new for me! I discovered a technique that made me very curious and that I absolutely had to try!

So here I am with that!

I was inspired by the example, shown by Cornelia on Stamploration and which consists of using a hot glue gun and heat embossing to achieve this result.
You also have to use liquid ink or watercolor to add the colors you want to give to the work.
...This video (by Connie McFarlane) shows it much better than I can explain!

I used black embossing powder from Stampin Up and for the colors "Vintage Photo" and "Weathered Wood" from Distress. I also added a few drops of Aladine IZINK gold pigments.
The colored panel ist mounted on white and gray layers.
The stamps are from Stampin Up.

Here you get a better idea of the golden effect!

I absolutely loved this technique and I already have another card to show in a few days!
....Stay tuned ;)

Pink mood!

Hello everyone!
Don't know why, but today I wanted to use pink for my card!  .......you too have noticed that this color comes up very often lately, eh?

First I stamped paisley pattern (Fiskars) with Versamark all over a sheet of white paper and heat embossed it clear! Then I wet the sheet, colored it with watercolor from dark to clear and let it dry.
During this time I cut the Carpe Diem 4 times and glued them one on top of the other, so that it made a very thick cut.
Finally I embossed the "Joyeux anniversaire" (happy birthday) in white on a small black rectangle and glued everything together.

Fantastic Shoe

Hello everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory. You all know Cinderella? - I hope so, because this month is about her story:

Three wishes for Cinderella.
Trois noisettes pour Cendrillon
Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel

Here is my card to the story.

I was inspired by Cinderella's shoe and when I saw the gorgeous illustrations by Colleene Kennedy, I was immediately fascinated by her funny shoes! -- She is such a fabulous and talented artist!!
... NO printing!! I used tracing paper and carbon paper, to get the subject on my card.
I designed the saying with the computer. Actually, it was in gray and black but my printer does totally crazy things again and printed all the gray in pink?!? !!! Great!!
At first I wanted to redo the pink words with a gray felt-tip pen but in the end I liked it much better as it was! And who knows what I would have destroyed?

... and now you also know why I'm not a big fan of printing and Digi Stamps, haha
...or perhaps it's time to I buy a new printer !!

There are many possibilities to make something! - it's up to you now!

See you soon at the Dream Factory ;)

X-mas mice

Hello everybody.

Phew, we had such gloomy weather the last days!! - What better than a good cup of hot tea and
.....make a Christmas card with the sketch at Christmas Card Throwdown!

I'm lucky, today the sun came back and I could take the pictures under better light.

I added some snow under the mice feet and a gleaming pink star to the fir. To do this, I smeared a bit glossy on the star and the edge of the panel and sprinkled it with ultra fine glitter. White  for the snow and pink for the star!
All stamps are Stampin Up and for coloring I used felt-tip pens.

Here a closer view to the "glittering stuff"

Happy weekend

Inky Fingers Today !

Hi everyone!
Today I play along with Less is More. They has a color and OMBRE/shadow challenge this week.

First, I tore a piece of watercolor paper to a rectangle and sprinkled it with water. Then I added a few drops of Disstress ink "Vintage photo" on it, sprinkled again with water, turned it a bit back and forth and put it aside for drying.
While the paper was drying, I took a bigger piece of paper and wet it with a thick brush and water.
Then I used the same ink, but this time with a brush and with only a tiny droplet of color! - I wanted the background as bright as possible!
Next I stamped a small diamond pattern ( by ALADIN ) on the torn paper and stuck it to the bigger one.
To finish I stamped the word ART ( by ALADIN ) in a very soft color just under the image and glued the whole panel to the white card base!

I do not often use liquid ink but one thing is for sure,
I loved to see how it merged in the wet paper ..... and I like the result!

Try it yourself and enjoy ;)

Houses

Hi everyone.
Not very inspired this weekend, ...but I must confess that I was a bit lazy too!

A row of houses which one of them is cut out of sparkling foam.
The sentiment is stamped on a small stripe of paper.

The only difference between the card above and this one, is a smaller and darker house and no stripe for the sentiment.

That's all for today!
See you soon - ... with, I hope, a little more inspiration!

Bonne Année

Hello everyone!
Yes, another card for the New Year! In France it is customary to send the wishes for the New Year instead of Christmas. So in the coming days, you will still see two or three cards of this kind - but promised, after those it's finish!!

In fact, the background of this card was intended for that of yesterday, but I have colored it with ink and it has not really dried well -- the embossing powder hooked on the whole area!  I nevertheless embossed it and put it aside!
Again and again I wondered what I could do with this failed piece of paper and during the day I had an idea! - That's what came out of it!

I added two feathers, a wreath and a few glittering things and the card was ready - nothing is lost and I love it!

Thanks for reading!

I don't know if I'll be able to take a bit more of challenges this year and make a Christmas card a week, in any case these are two of my goals for 2017.

Let's start with this!

HOC - Add a Building and/or Colors

Hi everyone!
Have you celebrated the New Year? .....with confetti and firecrackers? .... no hangover?
Ok, so let's move on to serious things, because the New Year starts right away with a challenge at House of Cards!

I was inspired by the image and colors

... and that's what came out!

After watercoloring my background with a little gray, I stamped the firs and then I added two birch trees and a tiny red house. At last I stamped the sentiment and added a few enamel dots and some pearl pen accents.

Add a Building and/or Colors

Happy New Year to all of you!
