Hi friends!
July - A new season begins at House of Cards and for the first challenge, we have a very fruity topic!!

This month we say: Fruit or Drink and / or Colors.

Here is what I made for!

I just love the bright colors of our challenge photo and I wasn't long to find my idea! First I watercolored the background of my image then I've drawn the lemons and the sentiment. Next I colored the sentiment in green and gray.  Once done, I stuck the image on a bit bigger gray cardstock and added a drop of juice to the "squeeze".

The embossed background gives some fizzy feel - like fresh lemonade!

You can use the image or the colors or.....  all together if you want.

Hi friends!

We're back with a new theme at the Dream Factory! 
This month we would like to see Fairy Tales on your works.

Here is my card, 

inspired by Snow White of the Grimm Brothers.

The cute Gorjuss girl was a gift from my niece but I did not really know what I could do with it. 

Again and again I pushed it aside but when I saw her this time I knew, 

.... she'll be Snow White! - Fits well, no?

You can use any fairy tale you love but please, mention your choise in your post!

Und hier sind meine Kreationen zum Blog Hop.

Et voici mes créations pour le Blog Hop.

Diese Karte ist mit dem wunderschönen Digi Stempel aus dem Set "Tulip of Thanks" von unserem Sponsor  MHKDesigns gemacht. Ich habe ein bisschen damit rumgespielt und ihn in verschiedenen Formen und Größen auf Papier und Pergamentpapier ausgedruckt. -- Alle Entwürfe sind mit dem selben Stempel gemacht!!
Zwischen dem Hauptmotiv, in der  Ecke unten links und dem Hintergrund, liegt eine Schicht Pergamentpapier auf dem man in der Ecke rechts oben das Motiv wieder in einer anderen Form findet.
Auch der Hintergrund wurde mit dem gleichen digitalen Stempel gemacht!
Unter und neben dem Schriftzug, der ebenfalls auf Pergamentpapier gedruckt ist,  klebte ich ein Stück grünes Washi Band.

Diese Karte macht auch bei MHK Designs Challenge mit

Cette carte est faite avec la superbe estampille digitale du set "Tulip of Thanks" de notre sponsor  MHKDesigns. J'ai jouée un peu avec et je l'ai imprimé dans différentes formes et tailles sur du papier et du papier parchemin. -- Tous les dessins sont faits avec le même digi!!
Entre le motif principal dans le coin inférieur gauche et l'arrière-plan, il y a une couche de papier parchemin sur lequel on trouve le même sujet sous une forme différente dans le coin supérieur droit.
L'arrière plan a été également réalisé avec cette même estampille digitale!
En dessous et à coté du texte, qui est aussi imprimé sur du papier parchemin, j'ai  collé un morceau de ruban Washi vert.

Cette carte participe également à MHK Designs Challenge 

Die zweite Karte... -- la deuxième carte...

...hier habe ich einen digitalen Stempel von unserem Sponsor "A Day for Daisies" verwendet. 

Ich wollte dass gelb dominiert - also habe ich den Hintergrund mit Dew Drop "Pearlescent Yellow" eingefärbt, Gräser mit einem Stempel aus dem Stempel Set "Flowering Fields"und "Daffodil Delight" von Stampin'Up gesetzt und dann hier und da ein paar Blätter mit dunklerem gelb gefärbt.

Für das Motiv habe ich nur Filzstifte zum colorieren verwendet. Um das Bild etwas lebendiger zu machen, beschloss ich 3 Blumen und 2 Flaschen in 3D zu machen. Ich colorierte und schnitt diese Teile aus und klebte sie dann mit 3D Schaumstoff-Pads auf mein Bild.

Die zwei Papiere unter dem Motiv sind Reste von einer anderen Kreation und der Stempel ist von "Scrap-Plaisir"!

...ici, j'ai utilisée une estampille digitale de notre sponsor "A Day for Daisies".

Je voulais que le jaune domine - j'ai donc colorée le fond avec Dew Drop "Pearlescent Yellow", ensuite j'ai tamponné des herbes avec l'encre "Daffodil Delight" et une estampille du set "Flowering Fields" de Stampin'Up et puis j'ai colorée ici et là quelque feuilles avec un jaune plus foncé.

Pour colorer l'image j'ai utilisée uniquement des crayons feutres, et pour la rendre plus vive j'ai décidée, de faire 3 fleurs et 2 bouteilles en 3D. 

J'ai coloriée et découpée ces parties, puis je les ai collée sur mon image avec des coussinets en mousse adhésifs.

Les deux papiers sous l'image sont des restes d'une autre création et l'estampille est de "Scrap-Plaisir"!

Fast and Furious - Reminder

Hi friends.

Terrible!!!! In two weeks I have not even done one card!?!?!?! --- that has to change, I agree with you !! ;)
So, let's go on with the reminder at the Dream Factory.

This car is not a stamp! - Look at the original!

I used tracing paper, some coloring pencils (black and grey) and permanent marker 

for the outer lines, tire and some other details. -- Tire tracks and sentiment are stamped.

Fast and Furious 

is our theme and you still have another fortnight to do something for this topic.

FAST and FURIOUS

Hi friends.
Today is the 15. of the month and that means that we have a new challenge at the Dream Factory for you.
For the next four weeks we selected "Fast and Furious", - a perfect movie for masculine creations!

Cars, gears, speed, roads, guys .... and of course pretty girls --- stuff for men, not true?!
These are just some key words to inspire you. I'm sure you still find other ideas which I have not thought!

And now, let's go to meet a not always easy challenge ... !

This is a very imposing stamp which requires much space, so I decided to keep the card as simple as possible.

A bit of blue ink SU on an acrylic block, which I sprayed with water and pressed on white paper. - My background was born and I just had to add the car and the word stamp!

Subsequently, I stuck the image on the card, which is fitted with aluminum foil and embossed.

The same with orange background on only one layer.

Ein besonderer Tag!

Mama, Mutti, Mami, Mutter, Mütterlein, Mum .....egal welchen lieben Namen wir ihr geben,
es ist immer dieselbe liebevolle Person die darauf antwortet.
In Deutschland ist heute Muttertag und ich wünsche allen Müttern, Mamas, Mums einen wunderbaren Tag.
......Lasst euch ruhig ein bisschen verwöhnen, ihr habt es verdient ;)

Meine Mutti ist leider sehr weit von mir entfernt und ich kann ihr nur eine Karte schicken, 

welche aber mit viel Liebe und Herz gemacht wurde!

Alles auf dieser Karte (Stanzen, Papier, Spitze, Band) 

habe ich von meinem letzten Deutschland Aufenthalt mitgebracht! :))

Die tollen Stanzen habe ich von meiner Nichte Karola bekommen und die anderen Schnäppchen fand ich in verschiedenen Geschäften. - Schade, dass man hier in Frankreich nicht so leicht, und vor allem so billig fündig wird!

HOC - May Challenge -- Clear Papers.

Hi friends, it's time for a new challenge at House of Cards.

This month we would like to see vellum or acetate on your cards!

....some flowers for my sister's 50th birthday

This card is made on a white base, on which I added a lime green gingham and a tiny black strip.
I stamped 3 big flowers with green on yellow vellum and with yellow on white vellum and I heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder.




Then I die-cut all the flowers and leaves with the beautiful "Botanical Builder Framelits Dies" from Stampin'Up.
Next I colored the back of the three vellum flowers with a yellow felt-tip pen
and finally each flower got a black center, colored with white chalk marker.
The sentiment is also from SU.

... a robot for my grand-son's 10th birthday.

I used acetate for this very simple shaker card - I think he'll love!

...and shabby flowers for mum's 80th birthday

There is not much vellum on this card but I want to show you.
Some heart stems and two leaves are cut out from vellum and here too,
I used the Stampin'Up Framelites for the flowers and the leaves. (Heart stems Impression Obsession)
The roses are handmade from ribbons - by myself.

On this and the next photo, you have a closer look on the different arrangements.

For special days and my loved ones, I really love create this kind of cards! 

As you can see, we celebrated many anniversaries with round numbers this year in our family, 

and we're waiting for another big 60th in August!! 

....Let's celebrate!!!!

Hi friends.
Time for a little reminder to the current challenge at the Dream Factory.
This month our movie is called Game of Thrones, one of the most viewed TV shows in the world!

 I used a word game for this ATC

In the movie there are dragons,

so I thought it would be funny to use dragonflies  :)

.....don't you think so?

You see, no need to make a real dragon ;-)

and you still have two weeks for creating something of unique!

Etwas spät....

....bin ich dran um euch meine Osterkarten bzw. Basteleien zu zeigen - ich hoffe ihr mögt sie dennoch sehen.

Il est bien tard...
...pour vous montrer mes cartes de Pâques et bricolages - j'espère que vous avez encore envie de les voir.

Wenn ich es schaffe, dann habe ich in den nächsten Tagen noch etwas zu zeigen.

Si je peux, alors j'ai encore quelque chose à vous faire voir dans les prochains jours.

Tut mir leid, dass ich in den letzten Monaten so wenig zeigen kann aber es geht leider nicht immer so wie man es gerne möchtet!

GOT - Winter is coming!

.....Do you know what that means?? -- Sure you do!!

Hi friends!
We have a new great challenge at the Dream Factory!
This time we selected a TV series which started in April 2011 .........already an idea???
It is the adaptation of the saga A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of novels by George R. R. Martin

Well, no more suspense. I think you have already guessed what I mean!

The challenge for the next four weeks is called....

Game of Thrones

I was immediately fascinated by this series and Daenerys of Targaryen and Jon Snow 

were my favorite characters right from the beginning!

Unfortunately I am not very rich in stamps for this kind of movie,
but I nevertheless unearthed a cute little dragon and a small castle!

And as it is cute, I wanted to stay funny until the end!
That's why I placed a crown on his ear and gave him a shovel instead the flower which he normally holds.
Some snowflakes in the background and the motto of House Stark......
.....I think, it became a nice card for next winter!

HOC - Script or colors .... or both!

Hello, friends!

Time for a new challenge at House of Cards!
This month we would love to see on your creations .....script and/or colors!

Create a card with script and/or using the color palette.

Here is some inspiration from me :)

On my first card you can see stamps from Stampin'Up set "By the Tide" and "Teeny Tiny Sentiments", some corrugated cardboard, red twine and a tiny starfish charm. - A very simple card.

When I saw Pam's card, I knew immediately that it will be perfect for my new stamp! 

So I was strongly inspired (not to say that I copied) by her gorgeous card and I'm very happy with the result! --- which was of course very simple to do!

"Chicken Little" -- Reminder

Hi, friends!

Two weeks are over and we could see lot of your stunning works
but please ....do not stop yet,
you still have another fortnight to create something for this nice challenge!!

To remind the topic on Dream Factory, I made these funny Origami chickens

They are so easy to do and can be nicely filled with goodies! -- Really cute for Easter!
My chickens are made with 25 x 25 cm Design paper and once finished, they measure 12,5 x 12,5 cm
-- you also can use 30 x 30 cm paper and get 15 x 15 cm hens ...(for more goodies) ^^



...you want to try them yourself? ....look here ;)
!!  But be careful, do not use too thick paper because it tears very easily !!

Hi friends.

Today starts the new challenge at the Dream Factory and we have a funny movie for the next four weeks.
Perhaps you know "Chicken Little", the young chicken who caused widespread panic when he mistook a falling acorn for a piece of the sky.....

I stamped three little chicks with my inked thumb, and 

then I drew the wings, eyes (small punched circles) and beaks with permanent marker. 

A bit Washi and some doodles around the image ...and voilà!

Easter is not very far.....

Silhouettes

Hi, all!

Today starts the new monthly challenge at House of Cards and for the next four weeks, 

we'll play with Silhouettes. 

I couldn't choose just one, so I show you some different ways to use this topic.

My first card is black and white with three die-cut birds sitting on a cord and watching the moon - all that on a reverse embossed card base. It was very simple to do!

For my second card, I used acrylic blocks and Distress ink for the colored squares. 

Once dried, I stamped the image in gray and the sentiment in turquoise.  

.....and for the fun to use one of my new stencils, I added some text using acrylic paint at the left corner.

On the third card, I used watercolor spots on wet paper. 

After drying, I stamped the bird and then I continued the green line under the bird's tail outside the frame.

For my last card, I sponged at first the background with yellow and blue ink. 

Then I stamped the yellow leaves. Next was the branch which I heat embossed in white. 

After that, I stamped the birds at twice to get a darker image (and also some shadow *lol*)

Last I added a few splashes and the sentiment.

As you can see, there are so much possibilities to make silhouettes and I wish you great fun for all those you'll make!

New month - new challenge!

Hello everyone!
Yes, the new challenge at the Dream Factory starts today and for the next 4 weeks, we have chosen a romantic film.

"Pretty Woman"

I love this movie and I've seen it umpteen times because....

Julia Roberts is one of my favourite actress, ....but of course Richard is not bad either! hehe ;)

....and they make a so wonderful couple!

I was inspired by a Collene Kennedy image....

Her quirky ladies make me smile every time I see them and

I hope you like this "fashion queen" as well as me! :)

There are so many possibilities for this challenge and I'll give you a few keywords as inspiration:

 shopping, clothes, hats, shoes, lovers, men, women, etc.

....and now its your turn, challenge yourself!! ;)

Something different !

Hi friends!
To this day, I attended only at Stampin Up workshops, but a new member came to our group and it turned out that she is also part of the family - not for SU but for a French company.
By nature I am a curious person and so it happened very quickly that I attended one of its demonstrations!
For the first time, we did something with ink sprays - thing I had never tried before and it was quite difficult for me to imagine the result!
But after overcoming my fear of doing something wrong, I said to myself: "Hey, why are you afraid, it's just ink and paper!"

... here is the final result !!

For the first card I used quite dark colors and the result is rather male

.... but for the second, I dared to color a little more vibrant!

After drying, the colors become slightly shimmering which unfortunately can not be seen on the pictures.

We tested different stencils, stamps and structure paste.

First, we sprinkled white paper with water. Then it was the turn of stencils and sprays. 

Once the paper dried, we worked with the paste and other stencils to finally finish with stamps! 

Et voilà!

This is really something very different compared to what I use to do, 

but I loved to try this "patouille" (means mud or slush), as we like to say! ;)

Unusual shape

Hi, friends!

It's time for a new challenge at House of Cards!
For this month, we have a Technique Challenge and we would love to see *Shaped Cards*!

Every shape is allowed, except square or rectangular!

I hesitated a long time between a round or triangular card 

and finally, I made an octagonal! - Very logical, eh?

Let your imagination run wild! .....We are excited about what you'll show us!

... crossed my path and,
it was perfect for the reminder at the Dream Factory!
The topic of the challenge is "Frozen" from Walt Disney.

To begin, I stamped the card background with deer antlers. 

Next, I used a star shaped mask and stamped the text on a white piece of paper. 

Then I stuck this little piece on a slightly larger brown paper and glued it to the card. 

And to finish, 

I punched the deer from gold paper and mounted it with 3D foam pads and some golden twine on my card. 

I really love how it turned out!

As I told you in my last post, we had a Stampin'Up swap last saturday and I want give you some news!

10 to participate, we had choice between two requirements:
Blue color + snowflake  or  red color + star and 10 x 14 cm for both.

Here are my 10 cards ....

and this is what I brought home!

They are so beautiful - I love them all!!

Frozen

No no, I do not mean the weather, I mean the movie ;)

Dear friends, it is time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory and this month,
we have selected "Frozen" from Walt Disney for you.
("Die Schneekönigin" for my German friends and "La reine des neiges" for my French friends)

You can use snowscapes and forest animals, snowflakes, snowmen, everything that has to do with winter!
....and maybe even what with crowns and princesses. ;)

I needed 10 cards for tomorrow's swap and...

... to start, I inked all the card bases in light blue. 

Then, I punched a big star in white cardstocks and stamped a big blue star over, - 

and tiny blue stars around the punched stars. 

To finish, I stuck them onto the card bases with 3D foam pads and added a silver bead 

and some silver twine to the centers.

The sentiment means something like: Let it snow!

The year ended very bitterly for dear friends of us!
Fate has hit very hard and robbed their beloved son, husband and dad! - A heart attack at only 58 years !!

I hope that my card and the comforting words can relieve their pain,

.... be it only a little!

For the beginning of the year, we've beautiful neutral colors and it would be great, if you can use them in combination with embossing! ....don't worry, colors only, or embossing only is very fine too!

I tried to use both of them and I must say, ....I like the result!

....and as you can see, I'm still in Christmas mood! --- we can never start too early !!

For my black background, I used "Whisper White" and the "Holly Jolly Greetings" stamps from SU. The sheet of vellum is textured with the "Softly Falling" embossing folder (also from SU) and the fir branch is a Memory Box die-cut. 

For the sparkle, I used a star sticker and some golden fibers!
