Magical day ...

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory. 

The movie for this month is:

Stardust

an enchanting tale of a fallen star who crashes into a magical kingdom -- and turns out to be no ordinary meteorite at all, but a beautiful, imperiled woman chased after by an incredible array of seekers who want or need her secret powers. From wicked witches to power-mad princes, from flying pirates to dueling goblins, each person who encounters the star has his or her own agenda, but they all desire just one thing: her heart.

Keywords: Witches, fairies, wizards, fantasy, stars... Halloween is welcome as well ;) 

As a background I used one of my gel prints. The embossing folder that punches at the same time was perfect for the idea I had of the card! I punched the stars another time from a gel print remnant and put them in the gaps of the background.

The stamps are from two different Stampin' Up sets. The witch I colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut with scissors. The sentiment is heat embossed and so that it does not look too clunky, I cut it into two pieces. 

Before I adhered the pieces to the panel, I stamped a wizard in white ink in the bottom right corner, a knight in the top left corner, and lots and lots of little stars. 

Oh yes, there was also the little bottle of blue glitter glue...., 

so I additionally set a few sparkling accents here and there. :))

Here a side view! The embossing is better to see and if you look closely, you can also see the small glitter glue dots.

A little reminder about our "National Cherry Popover Day" challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club...

For this challenge, you can show us cupcakes and/or muffins and/or cherries.

Sometimes it happens that you miss a birthday, then you have to come up with something special in a hurry! 🥳 

The grumpy rat seems to have the cupcake already in his sights.... that's a good sign! 😅

I sponged the clouds in the background with Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide) and with the help of a die cut. The lower part is covered with washi tape. I stamped rats, cupcake, cherries and balloons on Bristol paper, colored them with alcohol markers, fussy cut everything and adhered the pieces to the card. Cut the sentiment into individual words and adhered them as well.

Katzelkraft - Be yourself, ...

Hi everyone!

New Tuesday and new Katzelkraft project! For today's card I have used the big butterfly from the Metamorphosis - Butterfly set. 

!!! Katzelkraft has also released 5 brand new stamps sets that are available as of now!! (see below)

The days are still very warm, not to say hot. After the rain of the past few days, even the few flowers that survived the great heat have recovered somewhat. They are now a magical attraction for many butterflies, who quickly indulge in a little energy potion before the days get colder.  

I stamped a few background designs with Versamark, heat embossed them with clear embossing powder, sponged the three lines with different colors and then splattered some green ink on the panel.

 Stamped the butterfly on stenciled paper, heat embossed it with clear embossing powder as well and fussy cut it. I added a bit more color to the wings and applied Wink of Stella. Then heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, cut it into pieces and adhered it to the card along with the butterfly.

I smooshed the background with Distress Oxide. Stamped a moon, a few stars and Santa's sleight. Added a die-cut village and backed the panel with gold glitter cardstock. Stamped the sentiment.

The new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club starts today! This month we are celebrating 

National Cherry Popover Day

Cherry Popovers are tasty treats made from an egg batter and flour mix. They are filled with cherries, then baked in either a muffin tin, or a special popover tin. Either way they are absolutely delicious! 😋😋

If you are going to make some to share with people at work, it is okay to make them the night before.

I think you guessed that your creations this month should contain cupcakes and/or muffins and/or cherries.

I stamped the background with tiny cherries and colored them, as well as the image itself, with watercolors. 

I die cut the image with a circle die and backed it with a slightly larger scalloped circle.

One part of the sentiment I stamped in the circle, the other part I heat embossed and glued under the image. 

Finally, I cut the panel, adhered it to a blank card, and stamped a narrow border around it.

Katzelkraft - Shine Bright

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation! 

For today's project, I used the light bulbs "Switch on the light" set, designed by @isa.c.craft

The background I smooshed with Infusions from PaperArtsy. Stamped the light bulbs and a few background stamps. 

I stamped the light bulbs again on Bristol paper that I had previously sponged with Distress Oxide inks. Cut them out and glued them on. Part of the sentiment is from the light bulb set, the other part is from another brand. 

I think I will use it for a masculine birthday

Hello everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This month it's my turn to guide you through the challenges.

As always, we'll start the month with a sketch. (See below)

I cut a piece of patterned paper into three pieces, adhered it to silver glitter cardstock and then stamped the deer. 

For the snow, I tore a piece of white glitter cardstock and glued it under the deer. Pasted the panel into a dry embossed rectangle with foam pads. Stamped the sentiment, done!
