Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at House of Cards and for the month of March, we are going to color on dark cardstock.
.... don't be afraid, you can also take your usual paper and just use the colors of the palette on our inspiration photo. (see below)
I did not immediately dare to cover a large area and so I simply colored my bears on a small piece of black cardstock, which I then stuck to a white card.
To create a bright background for coloring, I first stamped the shape of the bears on the black area with white pigment ink.
After the prints had dried well, I started coloring the bears and I quickly realized that I had to press the pencils pretty hard to get a good visible color ..... but it worked well!
After coloring I stamped the outlines and the faces of the bears with black Stazon ink - now they look like Gummy Bears, ha ha! I cut the paper into the right size and stuck it on the card.
Finally I added the sentiment, and three hearts coated with Glossy.
This was also a challenge for me, because coloring on a dark card was really new to me - but finally it was pretty easy, so don't be afraid to try it yourself!
.... and so you can see exactly how to do it, I invite you to watch this little tutorial.
