Amazing Day

Hello everyone!
This afternoon, when I baked the birthday cake for my husband, I had an idea, and before I forgot it, I quickly turned it into a card!

Great, finally I could use some of my abundant paper scraps! I just cut some wavy stripes and put them together. A sentiment and the card was ready! ...in other words, it was a very easy card to make!
Two colors that didn't fit so well were simply pushed up with alcohol markers!

Hello Summer

Hello everyone!
Just a little reminder about our current challenge at the Dream Factory! - Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Keywords: Spain, Summer, Friendship, Art, Photography, Love...

Before the pictures arrived here they were on a design paper with an orange background and I didn't like that at all! So I took my scissors (unfortunately I didn't have a suitable circle-die), cut everything out and glued it on white paper - that was much nicer!
I drew a thick black line around the panel, glued the Summer sentiment and stamped the Hello. Voilà!

Well, did I inspire you to play along? Just link up here! You still have two weeks to do a little something!
Have Fun!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello everyone!
It's time for a new 52Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. - Ribbons
We all have some ribbons in our storage boxes, right! This week you have the opportunity to use some of them by joining our challenge 😉

I tied various ribbons to a few pieces of jute yarn. So that the ribbon ends didn't sprout wildly in all directions, I attached them with double-sided adhesive tape and then cut them into a fir tree shape. The embosste panel with the blue background has been on my table for weeks - here it is finally placed! I cut it to size, stamped Santa Claus and his reindeers on it and then glued it to the card. I stamped the sentiment right underneath. The top of the tree is decorated with a silver star.

So, now I hope that I could inspire you to play along and I am curious about what you will create!
Have Fun!

DotMCC - Challenge #5 - Reminder

Hello everyone!

...did you already have an idea for our new challenge? - Such a fun topic....!
This is my second card as an inspiration for our Yellow Pig Day on Day of the Month Card Club.

A very simple card, for which I used the Hog Haven stamp set again.
I cut an opening in a panel and stiched the edges with a quilting wheel. I stamped the pig on another smaller panel and made confetti in the background with the tips of several felt-tip pens, held together with a rubber band. - Of course I masked the pig before I did that! I heat embossed the word and the sentiment in white on black strips. I watercolored with felt-tip pens.

I hope to make you want to join us and you will have lot of fun with our new challenge!
...and please don't forget that 3 of your fellow participants would be happy to receive a little comment 😉

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!

Very Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
Days and weeks are passing at an unbelievable speed and it is already time for a new challenge at 52Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we are using a non-traditional image...

This prickly guy has been waiting for weeks for a stamp pad and today he is on a Christmas card - what a lucky fellow!
I coloured with felt-tip pens and fussy cut the images before sticking them onto the card with foam pads. Added a strip of washi tape on the left. The sentiment is from Stampin'Up

I hope you like it as much as I do and that you will have some free time to play with us!
Have Fun!

SUMMER

Hello everyone!
It's still very hot outside and how could you quench your thirst better than with a piece of watermelon! That's what I thought when I made this card.

My card is for our new Dream Factory challenge that starts today. This month's movie is

Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Here are some keywords for those who don't remember the movie: Spain, Summer, Friendship, Art, Photography, Love...

....and watermelons! 🍉🍉😁

Its a one layer card. I coloured the whole surface with felt-tip pens. I drew some seeds and added light reflections. The sentiment is composed of three different stamp sets. Enjoy - Hero Arts; Summer - Aladine; Holidays - Lora Bailora

I hope you like it, and you'll have some time to play with us!
Have Fun!

Happy Holidays

Hello everyone!
It is very hot outside - how about a refreshing Christmas card?!
We have a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and this week we're asking for three colors:

RED + GREEN + BROWN

Although it looks so simple - and it was, it cost me a little time...
...after four weeks vacation I had some trouble to get back into card making mode! 🙃

I started by having fun with alcohol inks because I didn't have a very clear idea of what I wanted to do.
Splashed red and green ink on photo paper and then added a few drops of gold. - It dried very quickly and I didn't have to wait long to use the panel!   ...the idea was also beginning to emerge!
I die-cut several trees, but finally I kept only one + its border and added the deer instead. ...I had my three colors!
The deer and the panel with the gold stamped sentiment (I didn't want to emboss it) are fixed with foam pads.

Hope you liked this and you will have time to
play with us!
Have fun!!

DotMCC-Challenge #5 - Yellow Pig Day

Hello everyone!
Today we start our 5th Challenge at DotMCC! - Thank you so much for all the great works you shared with us during the previous challenge! 💗

Our new challenge them is:

Yellow Pig Day
Celebrated on July 17th

July 17 is Yellow Pig Day. Despite its name, this day is not a celebration of the pig world, but a celebration of the number 17. - More info about this day on the DotMCC challenge blog!

Here we're not going to get formal with Maths and for once the pigs will be yellow! Ha ha
...if you want to use some scientific numbers on your projects, don't hesitate - but don't forget the yellow pig! 🐖😉

I created this little scene using stamps from the absolutely adorable pig stamp set that my friend and teammie Cornelia sent me - I didn't have a single piglet in my stuff! ....Thanks so much Cornelia❣️
I watercolored with felt-tip pens and then fussy cut the images.
The background is a remnant of one of my color experiments, backed with black cardstock - it sticks on a embossed panel! Both pigs wear glasses so they can see better! Ha ha
To adjust the sentiment, I crossed the word pink and replaced it by yellow.

I hope you have some time to join in, because...

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!
...and it makes us happy! 😉

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
Today is 52CCT  day and every first Saturday of the month we have a sketch, to challenge you!

Sketches are always a big challenge for me but as I already mentioned, it's because I don't have enough training! It's like sport - no training, no results! 😁

This one was relatively easy to do and I quickly got an idea of what I was going to do.
I have a box in which there are always lots of scraps. Embossed or some experiments with colours, they are waiting for their turn and as for last month's sketch, I found my luck among these scraps this time too.
The embossed black panel was a perfect match and all I had to do was attach the ribbon and make a nice bow. - The three fir stickers buzzed through my head right from the beginning!
The design paper in the background is from my kitchen! I sponged Sahara Sand and Daffodil Delight on a piece of white cardstock and then stamped the notes with Smokey Slate. - Looks nice, doesn't it?

And now it's up to you!
Happy sketching with....
