Those who don't believe...

Hi everyone!
Time for a little reminder about the current Dream Factory challenge.
The movie for this month is

Witches, fairies, wizards, fantasy, stars... You still have two weeks to join in!
Halloween is also welcome, because the end of October is known to be haunted ;))

I colored a piece of watercolor paper with watercolors and stamped some fir trees with Black Soot (Distrss Oxide) in the still wet paint. Let it dry and stamped more fir trees with Onyx Black (Versafine). This gave me some blurry trees in the background, and sharper ones in the foreground.
I die cut the stars and backed them with Silver Glitter cardstock. Glued the panel to the card and stamped the sentiment along the edges. Stamped the stargazing cats and moon on Bristol paper, colored them with alcohol markers, cut them out and adhered both to the panel.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - and rain will make the mushrooms grow

Hi everyone!
It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project...

Autumn has arrived and the nights have become much cooler, but during the day you can still enjoy the warm rays of the sun! In the last few days it has even rained a little - so the rats have found a good shelter under the mushrooms.
...well, not all of them!

The background of my card is made with the Gel Press and Distress inks.
I stamped mushrooms, rats, trees and raindrops...
The toadstool and rats I stamped once more on Bristol paper, colored them and cut them out. The foliage I stamped with three different colors. A first time in yellow, then in green and finally in red. Each time I inked the stamps very lightly, to get a realistic look of the foliage. I cut them out as well.
I stamped the sentiment, cut it into labels and then adhered everything to the card. As a last touch, I stamped a background design on the left edge.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Warm & toasty wishes

Hi everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
It has been a great pleasure to be your host throughout the month. So this is my last challenge for September and I hope you have fun making a

Pop Up Card

The outside is pretty simple - an embossed background, a snowman colored with crayons, a tiny bunny, a piece of glitter cardstock and a sentiment.

Then when you open the card, a big snowman comes out and hugs you. ⛄⛄
I found the tutorial of this pop up card on YouTube via Pinterest and it was a lot of fun to make it.

Take a look at how it works...

Katzelkraft - Houston...

Hi everyone!
It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation!

Strange things are going on in the woods...

For the background I used a stencil with tree pattern, but instead of stenciling with ink, I tried something different this time.
I recently bought some PaperArtsy Infusions and wanted to test if what I had in mind would work.
I sprinkled a little of the pigment powder on the stencil, sprayed water over it and then put a piece of Bristol paper on it. Pressed this lightly, carefully lifted it off and let it dry.
I covered the part for the moon and sponged the whole area with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot (Distress Oxide). This dulled the trees a bit, but I still liked it. I should have done it the other way around, but for a first try I'm quite pleased! - I'll know better next time ;)
I shaded the tree trunks and some of the branches with a dark gray pastel crayon to make them stand out better. I took off the mask of the moon, sponged it with Fosillized Amber (Distress Oxide) and shaded it with some dark gray pastel color as well.
For the ground, I applied three narrow strips of washi tape. I colored two pabos with alcohol markers, fussy cut them and glued them on. The sentiment is stamped on light yellow colored paper, cut in label and glued on as well.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

C'est chouette l'hiver!

Hi everyone!
Ready for another 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge?
The theme of this week is

Winter Fun

I stamped the image from Stampin'Up on the panel and covered it to stencil the background. More specifically, I inked the stencil with Distress Oxide, sprayed it with water and then transferred the color to the panel.
After drying, I spritzed it with Peacock Feathers (Distress Oxide) and removed the mask. I colored the image lightly with colored pencils, punched the bottom part and backed it with patterned paper.
Stamped the sentiment and adhered the panel to the blank card.
The sentiment says: Winter is great!!!

Have Fun!!

Magical day ...

Hi everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie for this month is:

an enchanting tale of a fallen star who crashes into a magical kingdom -- and turns out to be no ordinary meteorite at all, but a beautiful, imperiled woman chased after by an incredible array of seekers who want or need her secret powers. From wicked witches to power-mad princes, from flying pirates to dueling goblins, each person who encounters the star has his or her own agenda, but they all desire just one thing: her heart.

Keywords: Witches, fairies, wizards, fantasy, stars... Halloween is welcome as well ;)

As a background I used one of my gel prints. The embossing folder that punches at the same time was perfect for the idea I had of the card! I punched the stars another time from a gel print remnant and put them in the gaps of the background.

The stamps are from two different Stampin' Up sets. The witch I colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut with scissors. The sentiment is heat embossed and so that it does not look too clunky, I cut it into two pieces.
Before I adhered the pieces to the panel, I stamped a wizard in white ink in the bottom right corner, a knight in the top left corner, and lots and lots of little stars.
Oh yes, there was also the little bottle of blue glitter glue....,
so I additionally set a few sparkling accents here and there. :))

Here a side view! The embossing is better to see and if you look closely, you can also see the small glitter glue dots.
