Yee-haw

Hello everyone!
It's halftime at the Dream Factory
This month we have a theme for horse lovers - but not only - friendship and nature are also included!
I have added a funny hobbyhorse to my card, maybe you have something funny in your stuff too?

I embossed the background with an embossing folder in wood look, which I slightly sponged with grey Distress Oxide ink before. The smaller, second background is made with acrylic paints - I sanded the dry panel with coarse and fine sandpaper. Next I cut out a Polaroid frame, stamped fine lines on it and sponged it with wet Distress Oxide ink.
I only colored the nostrils and ears of the little hobbyhorse, cut it fussy and stuck it between the frame and the small panel. Added the Yee-haw, for which I stamped and cut out the letters.

So, now I hope that I could inspire you and make you want to join in!
Have fun with the challenge!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!

It's Saturday and I'm delighted to introducing you to our new challenge at 52CCT
For the next two weeks we'll play with shadows. You can use stamps, stencils, embossing powder ......but you can also draw the shadows yourself.
On the challenge blog you can find some videos on how to make shadows if you are not familiar with this technique.

I decided to draw the shadows myself - the straight lines of the subjects on my card made it very easy.
I positioned the subjects provisionally and shifted everything slightly to the bottom right. I drew a fine line at the bottom and right edge of the shapes and then pushed the pieces back to their original position. I coloured the shadows and then embossed about two thirds of the panel with a wall pattern. I stuck the beam to this border and hung the stockings on it so that the previously drawn shadows corresponded with the subjects.
Finally, I stuck a strip of Washi tape to the bottom border and stamped the sentiment - which I also shaded.
Everything is colored with alcohol markers and fussy-cut...

Have fun with the challenge!

Beautiful

Hello everyone!
As you know, on my blog every 15th and 30th of the month is dedicated to the Dream Factory.
So it's time for a new challenge. For the month of August we've chosen the following movie

Ostwind, ARIS Ankunft
Stormy / Windstorm 4
Keywords: Horses, freindship, nature

Synopsis: Since Mika's accident, Stormy hasn't been the same. He's become impulsive and anxious, doesn't sleep and won't even eat. But when young Ari meets Stormy for the first time, a very special bond develops between the two. Ari feels immediately attracted by Stormy and seems to have a special effect on the famous stallion....

No stamping today! I punched the sentiment out of white cardstock, glued it on a black strip of cardstock and embossed it. I punched the horse's head from design paper and glued it on the black stripe, which I in turn glued on a white card base. I added three enamel dots for the final touch.

Now I hope you love horses and wanna play with us.
We are looking forward to your creations!

HO! HO! HO!

Hello everyone!

It's Saturday again and I'm delighted to invite you to a new challenge at 52CCT. This week we're diving to see how the sea creatures prepare for Christmas.

This time, I really wasn't stingy with the colors - I even put a little too much maybe...
The same thing for the glitter, I put a lot of it on!!! Wink of Stella, glitter pens and so on...

For the background I used alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Mermaid, Silver, Cranberry, Citrus and a blending solution.
I applied colors and blending solution very wastefully and blew back and forth with a straw. After drying, which goes relatively fast, I stamped seaweed and a coral.
The fish, the shells, the starfish and the octopus are stamped on cardstock, colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut and glued on. A lot of work, I know, but it was like I was in a trance, I couldn't stop - things were getting more and more and they were getting smaller and smaller!
I coloured some seaweeds with alcohol markers to make them a bit lighter

and then I covered everything with Wink of Stella and glitter pens - from tiny starfish to octopus.
Finally, I put the sentiment on a die-cut strip and gave the octopus a Santa hat.

I hope you like it, and you have just as much fun with the theme as I had!

DotMCC - Challenge #18 - Reminder

Hello everyone!
It's getting hotter every day, but we have a very cool topic at the Day of the Month Card Club this month.

National Watermelon Day

...don't they look deliciously refreshing?

First I wrote the sentiment on a card sized piece of Bristol. It comes from a pad with many different other sentiments and quotes and is printed in silver on parchment paper. I didn't like that, so I transferred it to the Bristol using tracing paper and colored it black. - I already used this techique for this card and this card!
Next I drew three different watermelons and colored them with alcohol markers, traced the pips with Pearl Pen and "nibbled" one of the melons.
Before gluing the watermelons I stamped a few splashes of Melon Mambo (stamp & ink SU), added a small black stripe at the bottom and then pasted the panel to a card base. Voilà!

Have fun! I look forward to your delicious watermelons! 🍉🍉

NOËL

Hello everyone!
It's Saturday again and I'm delighted to invite you to a new challenge at 52CCT. This week we're playing with colors:
Green, Orange and Gold
(Black and White is allowed)

A deer, a rabbit, a bird and the two fir trees, that's the little scene I created.
I colored in with alcohol markers, gel pens, felt-tip pens and metallic pens.
I embossed the card and sponged the edges with green ink - glued a strip of design paper at the bottom and added the "NOËL" die-cut above the trees, sticking some thin gold threads underneath.
A few gold stars for the final touch, and voilà!

Have Fun with the challenge!

National Watermelon Day - DotMCC Challenge #18

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating:

National Watermelon Day
celebrated on August 3

Did you know that watermelon is 92% water? No wonder it’s so refreshing!
People have been digging into this tasty, juicy fruit for millennia and it all started in Ancient Egypt.
It’s said that watermelon cultivation began in the Nile Valley as early as the second millennium B.C.
Watermelon seeds were even found in Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb and in the Dead Sea region at the ancient settlements of Bab edh-Dhra and Tel Arad! (Source: Wikipedia)

Now to my card, which is very simple.
I started by stamping melon slices around the card and colored some of them with crayons. Mounted this panel on a slightly larger card base and added the vellum with an already printed sentiment.
For more interest I put some enamel dots here and there!

Happy Melon Day - all summer long!!!
