It's Halloween!

Hi everyone,
It's time for a quick reminder about the current challenge at Dream Factory

The Curse of Bridge Hollow
Anything related to books🤔🤔
Our Theme:
Halloween

A quick-and-easy Halloween card in a clean and simple style, inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.
Unfortunately, I can't credit the creator, since it was a repinned image without a watermark. In any case, I really liked the card!

For the colored stripe, I masked both sides of the card—including the moon—then brushed it with Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake (Stampin'Up!). I sprayed water on it and dried it off right away with a paper towel. The images I stamped with black ink—several times for the cat to create a contrasting effect.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pumpkin Heads

Hi everyone!
Ready to go for a new challenge at The Little Things ?.......   GREAT—it kicks off today!!!

This month's theme is:
Pumkin and/or Pink
with the option:
Anything Goes

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

We hope that the variety of card styles and sizes
will give you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

I decided to go with the pumpkins.....
I've had this stamp for a very long time, but today was the first time it ever met ink—and believe me, it was put to the test: since I used the “paper piecing” technique, I had to stamp the entire design and then each guy on a different piece of patterned paper!—Which, of course, meant I also had to do a lot of fussy cutting!
For some reason, the guys' heads remind me of pumpkins; that's why I colored their faces orange.
They are glued onto a bookmark/tag cut out of patterned paper, the edges of which I brushed with a color gradient ranging from gray through pink to orange and yellow.
Before gluing the guys on, I stamped a fir tree and the word “autumn” in the background. I then added a strip of washi tape beneath their feet and a few pumpkins next to them.

Thanks for stopping by!
See you at "The Little Things" ;)

Paris in Style!

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create!

The theme is: Think Pink
(create something featuring Pink)
Alternately "Anything Goes"

On the eve of October, as it has every year since 2014, the Eiffel Tower temporarily set aside its usual golden lighting for one evening. On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the Parisian landmark lit up in pink to kick off Pink October, the annual breast cancer awareness campaign.

The event inspired me to create this card. It features a background with stenciled roses, onto which I glued a pink embossed Eiffel Tower inside a die-cut Polaroid frame.—The frame I colored with a silver glitter brush marker.
I also added a lady in an elegant pink dress, which I made by applying the paper-piecing technique.
The finishing touch was the words “PARIS in style!”

Homme Libre, ...

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create!

The theme is: Bright and Breezy
(create something featuring sun and or wind)
Alternately "Anything Goes"

There's always a nice breeze by the sea, isn't it?!

I used only part of the large stamp by Creative Expressions—the sea and the sun—and colored it with watercolors. Added a sticker (Deco Time), which I jazzed up with some more color. Stamped the birds and the sentiment (Katzelkraft)—donne!

The sentiment says: Free man, you will always cherish the sea

Here you can see another example using this stamp—and view it in its entirety.

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

I ♥ Books

Hi everyone,
I'm back with another reminder...
We're also heading into the second half of the challenge at Dream Factory

The Reader

Anything related to BOOKS

There were still a few stacks of books and an image of a girl left over from my main project—enough to make a bookmark...
I simply colored a strip of strong watercolor paper with Picked Raspberry (Distress Oxide) and punched out both ends. I stamped some tiny text in the background, glued on the cut-out pieces, and added a speech bubble. I attached a few ribbons I had lying around to the hole at the top, and the bookmark was done.

Thanks for stopping by!

There is no such thing as too many books

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

The Reader
Anything related to books🤔🤔
Anything related to books

I can't believe it—we're already on our 35th card swap in our little arts-and-crafts group!
The swap took place a few weeks ago, and since the theme was “Reading and Books”, the card was also a perfect fit for the movie “The Reader”, which is our challenge this month at the Dream Factory.

Lots of masking to make this card one layer!
Except for the girl (AALL&Create) and the floor (Studio Light),
all the other elements on this card are from Katzelkraft.
I decided not to color in all the elements—otherwise, it would have been way too much!
Since I have practically no stamps with quotes in French, I designed one on the computer, drawing inspiration from a example I found on Pinterest.
It says: There is no such thing as too many books

And here's the whole swap package—9 cards in all!

Honey Bees

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

The Beekeeper

Create something with BEES on it

For this ATC, I embossed a sheet of yellow-speckled paper using a hexagon embossing folder.
To add more depth to the honeycomb pattern, I added darker shades of yellow and red to some of the hexagons. On others, I stamped tiny dots. Once I was happy with the result, I tore off a piece and glued it onto the ATC, which I had cut out of the remaining yellow-speckled paper. Outlined the hexagons with a white Posca marker.

I then stamped and colored the bees and the droplets, which actually went quite quickly.
I brushed the bees’ wings with Wink of Stella, though as usual, you can’t see it. Cut everything out with scissors and glued drops and bees to the honeycomb.
Finally, I stamped a few numbers and other elements onto the ATC,
and then added “HONEY BEES” using small alphabet stamps. Hope you like it :)
