Pumpkin Heads

Hi everyone!
Ready to go for a new challenge at The Little Things ?.......   GREAT—it kicks off today!!!

This month's theme is:
Pumkin and/or Pink
with the option:
Anything Goes

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

We hope that the variety of card styles and sizes
will give you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

I decided to go with the pumpkins.....
I've had this stamp for a very long time, but today was the first time it ever met ink—and believe me, it was put to the test: since I used the “paper piecing” technique, I had to stamp the entire design and then each guy on a different piece of patterned paper!—Which, of course, meant I also had to do a lot of fussy cutting!
For some reason, the guys' heads remind me of pumpkins; that's why I colored their faces orange.
They are glued onto a bookmark/tag cut out of patterned paper, the edges of which I brushed with a color gradient ranging from gray through pink to orange and yellow.
Before gluing the guys on, I stamped a fir tree and the word “autumn” in the background. I then added a strip of washi tape beneath their feet and a few pumpkins next to them.

Thanks for stopping by!
See you at "The Little Things" ;)

Simple Things...

Hi everyone,
It's time for a quick reminder about the current challenge at Dream Factory

Autumn colors and/or mushrooms

This stamp set from Stampin'Up!
has been sitting on my shelf for years—it was really about time I finally used it!
I think this fits perfectly with our fall/autumn theme...
...and with a man's birthday!

I first brushed a white strip of paper using the following colors:
Fossilized Amber, Mowed Lawn, and Barn Door (Distress Oxide).
I then stamped the images using the colors:
Toffee, Vintage Sepia, and Smokey Gray (Versafine).
I’ve had these ink pads for 15 years now, and they’re still as good as new!

The splatters were stamped using Speckled Egg (Distress Oxide),
and the small text and saying were stamped using Smokey Grey (Versafine).
I backed the panel with brown cardstock, adhered it to a blank card,
and finally stamped the “Happy Birthday”

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you soo Mush

Hi everyone!
Time for a quick reminder about our current challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club
We're celebrating

National Tic Tac Day

Actually,
this day is dedicated to the little breath-freshening mints, but we've come up with something different!
We added a "Toe" to the Tic Tac and so it became a Tic-Tac-Toe, which you can see just below my ATC.

What luck that there are mushrooms to protect you from the rain!

Once again I used scrap paper for the background. As it was a bit dark, I brushed it with gesso, glued it onto thicker  paper and cut it to the size of an ATC. I then stamped on the images, water drops and text. Stamped the mushrooms, the ladybugs and the frog again on Bristol paper. Colored them with alcohol ink markers, cut them out and glued them on. I finished by sticking on some leaves and the sentiment.

My choice was the left vertical row (Die, Thanks, Free)

Have Fun!!

Harvest time

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft card featuring the pickup from the last release :))

Autumn arrives and harvest time begins. The pickup truck is a very practical means of transportation.

I first created the background with Distress Oxide inks, then stamped the trees and grass. I stamped the pickup truck and vegetables on Bristol paper. Colored them with watercolors and alcohol ink markers, then cut them out and pasted them onto the background.
The Samuel Butler quote I found on the internet. I stamped it with a rotary alphabet stamp on slightly yellow-red colored paper, cut it into labels and added it to the card.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! ;)

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone!

We added a "Toe" to the Tic Tac and so it became a Tic-Tac-Toe, which you can see just below my card.

I chose the bottom horizontal row (Free, Critters, Leaf) and picked up the Halloween theme for the free choice.

Except for the spider web and the sentiment, all parts are cut out and glued on - I colored with alcohol ink markers.
The leaves were stamped with Distress Oxide inks on gel print remnants.
I added washi tape to the bottom of the card before sticking the different elements on.
Finally, I added a piece of scrap paper to the left and brushed the edges of the card with Chipped Sapphire (Distress Oxide).

Mushrooms

Hi everyone!
I'm back to remind  you about the current challenge at Day of the Month Card Club.
We are celebrating

  Autumn Stroll Day

It's mushroom season and you can actually smell them when you're out walking in the woods. That's what inspired me to make this ATC.
I cut an ATC-sized piece out of a gel print. I then stamped the beautiful mushroom image (AALL&Create) on the ATC and also on Bristol paper. I colored the latter with alcohol markers, then cut it out and glued it onto the ATC. And there we go!

Happy fall stroll! ;)

Pumkin Patch

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club!
This month we are celebrating

 Autumn Stroll Day

On my way through the garden I found some pumpkins and a sunflower.
All the stamps on this ATC are from the beautiful stamp set "Pumpkin fields" from Katzelkraft.
I colored them with alcohol markers - highlighted some areas with a white Posca pen and gesso
- cut them out and glued them to the ATC.
The background is a piece of a background that was left over and was just the right size for the ATC.
Hope you like it.

Enjoy your autumn walk! ;)
