Mirror, mirror on the wall...

Hello everyone!
A quick reminder and a little inspiration for our current challenge at the Dream Factory. This month's movie is

Minions

I had a great time creating this card!
This time a "yellow" bimbo, apparently looking in a mirror. Here it was guys, for a fun birthday card!

I found the girlie and the text on Pinterest and copied everything by hand using tracing paper ....nothing with printer and all!!
Glasses, mouth, bra, hands and shoes are copied twice and colored with alcohol markers. The skirt is copied on design paper. I fussy cut the outfit and gluded it onto the Minion. I added some blue as a background and a bit shadow for the ground.
The text, which I also copied by hand, says:
You stand in front of the mirror and think, "Oh, that's actually good," and then you put the glasses on... 😁

Hope you like it...
Have FUN ...and stay well!

Merry Christmas with the Herringbone Technique

Hello everyone!
It's saturday and I am here with a new challenge on 52CCT!
This week there is a technique challenge - we are looking for Christmas cards with the .....

Heringbone Technique
Please watch this video or this video if you need some help

I first had to find out about this technique. I know the herringbone pattern, but I have never heard of how to use it for card making. ...we never stop learning!
Actually, the technique is very simple. Simply stick more or less wide strips in a certain order on a card and make sure that the strips are neatly edge to edge! Cut off the protruding ends - you can use them for the shorter lengths.
After all strips were glued on, I cut my panel to size and backed it with black glitter foil. Finally I stamped a Christmas tree and added an embossed label.
As you can see, this is a very good technique to recycle leftovers!

This is a "lighter" version with only a small piece of the herringbone pattern.
I wanted to try out the technique with Washi tape and used it for this one. - Looks good too, but it is not as handy as paper!

I hope I could inspire you! Have fun trying it out!

Enjoying every moment...

...that's what it says on the tag.

Hello everyone!
I made this card a few month ago for a card swap and I have to show it now, otherwise it will get lost among all the cards that pile up here! LOL
Seriously, I've been pushing it aside for a while now because there's always another card taking its place!

The requirement was a tag on a card.
The butterfly is punched out of paper which I dyed with yellow and orange ink and some brown splashes.
The tag is cut out from a remnant of an old piece of paper that I had made using the smoothing technique with green and gold ink - supplemented with a mix of different stamps.
It is glued to an embossed background which is backed with black paper and then glued to the card base.
...I really love the wooden look!

In total I made 9 of them...

Have a nice time and stay safe!!

Joyeux Noël

Hello everyone!
It's saturday and I want to introduce you to the our new challenge at 52CCT.
This week we want to see Forest & Deer(s) on your cards.

My card is very simple! I splashed some white ink on a card base of beige cardstock and put it aside. I die cut the stag twice and the Noel once and glued the two stag togehter slightly offset. I cut out a square from a piece of remaining paper and glued a piece of grid (ribbon) on it. Added some gold string and glued the stag on.

Have FUN
...and stay well!

In addition!
I had to slightly modify my card because I missed a detail of the challenge.
It's the same card - I just added watermarked firs.

...you see,
it wasn't that worse!

R is for Retro

Hello everyone!
Wow, that was really last minute!!!
It's been a while since I played on Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - it really tickled me and just before the end of the challenge I had a brainwave for their "Retro" theme!

I still had some papers I made a few months ago with a Gelli-plate and Distress Oxide inks. I cut a piece and used it as background for my card. I stamped the old car and one of the Pabos (both Katzelkraft) on it. I stamped the Pabos a second time, colored it with alcohol markers, cut it fussy and glued it on the already stamped one. I found the fun sentiment on Pinterest, wrote it on a piece of paper and cut it into small labels. I colored the edges with black felt-tip pen and then glued the words on the card. I sponged the edges of the card with some black ink.

... "Sir Leopold Bollersbach" from cats on appletrees arrived yesterday - of course he had to pee on the car tyre after such a long journey! Hahaha

I had so much fun creating this card and I hope you like it as much as I do!

Bananaaaaa!

(Thats Minion for Happy Birthday)

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory.
This month we've chosen a movie that I'm sure everybody's gonna love!

Minions

I love those little yellow guys! Found the image on Pinterest and copied it by hand with help of tracing paper.
I colored the Minions with alcohol markers, ground and sky with watercolors. Then added confetti by assembling fine-tip markers into a bundle and made dots. The birthday sentiment is from Stampin'Up.

Hope you like it...
Have FUN ...and stay well!

Couldn't resist pulling out the Katzelkraft rats once again!  - Today, they're taking it easy!!
The handwritten feeling says something like: "There must be time for doing nothing!"
So what could be better than doing this in a sunny garden?!

Hope I made you want to join in...
...stay safe and don't stop crafting!!

Joyeux Noël

Hello everyone!
I don't know why Saturday always comes back so quickly! Hahaha
I hope that you will join us in our new challenge at 52CCT. This week we have following colours for you!

RED & WHITE

A very quick and easy card!
I embossed half of the background panel, added wash tape at the bottom and stencilled stars at the top.
The stag is die-cut from foam. Finally I stamped the sentiment that completes with the washi tape.

Have FUN

Under my Umbrella...

...there's only happiness ! !

Hello everyone!
The rain is over, the sun is shining, birds are singing and flowers are blooming everywhere! - What a wonderful world!! ...if only there wasn't that damned Covid!
I hope that you are all safe and well...!

Even though this terrible virus is causing chaos all over the world, there are happy moments it can't take us! One of these happy moments was being invited by a lovely lady to Guest Design on her Twofer Card Challenge!
I'm sure you know who I'm talking about!!!
Thank you so much Darnell, it is a great honor for me to be your guest this month!

I made a cute wedding card and a friendship card,
for this month's challenge prompt:

As you can see, the hyphen in my cards is the umbrella.

On this card, he protects the newlyweds from the big raindrops that turn into a shower of little hearts after they have crossed the congratulation barrier.
To create the background, I punched two hearts of different sizes from a sheet of paper and then used it as a stencil. The die-cut word "congratulations" is backed with glitter foil. Birds and umbrella are colored with alcohol markers. Added two tiny strips of washi tape as a final touch.

For my second card I used the umbrella upside down, so the little walrus and his buddy could float as far as they want. I also used alcohol markers for coloring and added a few droplets of turquoise to pep up the light blue background.

Have FUN!!
... and please take good care of yourself and your loved ones!
