Let's be jolly

Hi everyone!
We are entering the second half of our current Dream Factory Challenge. The movie of this month is

Elliot the littlest Reindeer
Anything that is Christmassy or wintry and features a reindeer or a stag goes.

To make the snowflakes stand out better, I dabbed the embossed background of the ATC with a white ink pad.
I masked the area for the snow and stamped the fir trees and log cabin (Katzelkraft). I stamped the cabin a second time on Bristol paper, colored it with alcohol ink markers and cut it out. I glued the lodge onto the ATC and then stamped the fir tree in the foreground. I applied the "snow" with gesso, which I also used for the fir trees - used the heat gun to speed up the drying process. Once the gesso was completely dry, I stamped the reindeer (cats on appletrees).
Finally, I stamped the moon with Fossilized Amber (Distress Oxide) and highlighted three embossed snowflakes again with a white gel pen. Added the sentiment.

Katzelkraft - Smile like a Monkey...

Hi everyone!
Let's go Katzel-kraft!!! :))
I'm back with a new card featuring some of their new stamps that have recently been released.
There are eight new A4 and two A6 sets, but I'm pretty sure you've already seen all those amazing stamps! ;)

Today's card shows one of the monkeys from the chimpanzee set, combined with some greenery from the foliage set.
The chimp doesn't actually have a smile on his face,
but as he is happy about the fresh bananas, I gave him one.

I stenciled leaves to set the background. I then stamped the banana leaves on gel print scraps, cut them out and glued them on. Stamped another few plants next to the banana leaves.
I stamped the monkey and bananas (Stampin'Up) onto Bristol paper, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. I opened one of the stencilled leaves with a precision knife to place the chimp behind it and finally added a narrow strip of washi tape to the bottom.
The sentiment is made up of letters that I cut out and put together, using various quotes from Katzelkraft. (see the sets below)

Warm and cozy hugs

Hi everyone!
Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge.
This week we want you to do a

Shaped Card

It's getting colder and colder outside, so I came up with the idea of a warm beanie!

The simple design of the cap consists of a rectangle and a circle. I cut both out of embossed patterned paper. Rounded the corners of the rectangle and cut off the circle about halfway through. I colored the edges of both parts with Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide). - The rectangle got a little more color.
I glued the two pieces and a die cut pompom to a blank card and cut out along the cap, leaving a small white border.
As embellishment, I added silver thread and a snowflake composed of various die-cut parts.
The sentiment is from Yixuan.

HAVE FUN!

Katzelkraft - #vacances

Hi everyone,
Today is Katzelkraft day! :))
Just back from vacation, I thought I had do something with this awesome background stamp...
We spent a wonderful week in Gran Canaria, where streetcars are just a distant memory.

Now it's the rats' turn! ....Look, how happy they are!

One stamp and the card is almost finished! Isn't that cool?
I colored the image with watercolors. Two of the rats were already in my stash. The third one was quickly stamped, colored and cut out. To place them in the streetcar, I cut out the windows along the vertical and bottom lines and folded them back. I inserted the rats and folded the windows back into their original position. To ensure that nothing slips away, I taped the back with washi tape. I added the third rat, the little travel bag and the text and wrote "Rue de Paris" on the street sign. I then cut the panel to size and glued it to a blank card.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Wintertime

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
The theme of this week is

Winter Countryside

For this peaceful winter scene, I used Katzelkraft's beautiful "Winter Cabin" and "Winter Wonderland" stamp sets.
I stamped the log cabin on Bristol paper, colored it with Alohol markers, cut it out and glued it on a gel print background. Stamped the trees and the fence directly onto the gel print. Embossed the sentiment in white.
I mixed gesso with white glitter and used it to cover the ground and the branches of the trees. While the gesso was still wet, I added more glitter. - It truly looks like real snow!
As a final touch, I splattered on thick snowflakes with white ink. Hope you like it!

Have Fun!

FA LA LA la la

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory challenge.
The movie for this month is

Elliot, the littlest Reindeer
Anything that is Christmassy or wintry and features a reindeer or a stag goes.

Elliot isn't actually a reindeer at all, but a little pony whose big dream is to one day pull Santa's sleigh alongside the best reindeer. ....Do you really have to be a reindeer to work for the legendary Santa Claus?

I actually wanted to make a pony dressed up as a reindeer for fun, but the truth is I don't have a pony at all - Hahaha!
Well, it'll be a foam reindeer then!

I don't remember how I made the background, I think I experimented with alcohol ink...
I stuck silver washi tape and a strip of embossed paper to the bottom edge of the panel. Stamped the fir trees and glued the die cut trees on. Splattered them with gesso.
I die-cut the reindeer once from black foam and a second time from pinkish paper. Glued both parts together and stuck the reindeer next to the fir trees. I punched a few stars out of washi tape, glued them on and outlined them with black liner. Added three pieces of washi tape for the sentiment and outlined them in black too.
