Roadtrip

Hi everyone!
Just a little reminder about our current challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie for this month is

Old
This month we're sticking to the movie title.
So you can use old stuff and/or craft something that looks old or aged.
(old stamps, old designer papers, vintage, but also skeletons and skulls)

For the tag I used paper from my gel print stash. The blue shade on the left was already present, but I accented it a bit more with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers. The stamps are from Tim Holtz and really ancient. Had to have them but ended up using them very rarely. I stamped directly onto the tag, only the car is cut out and glued on. The sentiment is from Kaisercraft. On top I added an eyelet and a cord, which are also from the old days. Hope you like it.

Have Fun with the challenge

Katzelkraft - aujourd'hui c'est toi qui ....

Hi everyone,
I'm back with a new new Katzelkraft creation.

My husband turns 70 this week. Before he retired he was an electronics engineer and he still loves to fix or create things. So I played with the light bulbs and the electronic circuit and combined them with one of the pabos - I'm sure he will like this card.

I stamped the pabo and bulb, masked both, and then sponged the background with Rustic Wilderness, Chipped Sapphire, and Fossilized Amber (Distress Oxide). Stamped the circuit before removing the masks. Colored pabo and the bulb with alcohol markers and colored pencils. The sentiment I created partly with a digit roller stamp and partly with individual letter stamps. It says: "Today you're the one who shines"
I adhered the whole thing to a blank card that I had previously stamped with a grid stamp

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Let it snow ...

Hi everyone!
Ready for another 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge? This week we are asking you to use

Watercolors

It's been a long time since I last used watercolor.
The snowman is a stamp from Penny Black, but I did not stamp with ink as usual, but with water!
I provided the watercolors beforehand because the water soaks into the paper very fast. After stamping the snowman with water, I quickly started adding the watercolors to establish the outline and main details. From then on, it actually wasn't difficult to finish the image.
Finally, I splashed the card with blue watercolor and added the sentiment and the bunny (cats on apple trees). The stamp I painted with watercolors and stamped on the card. Since the first try wasn't quite what I had in mind, I stamped the bunny a second time using the same principle, cut it out and pasted it over the one on the card. That way it was ok!
I backed the card with blue glitter cardstock and glued it to the blank card.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - Don't be afraid...

Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day and for today's project, I used one of the butterflies from the Metamorphosis - Butterfly set. I'm sure you've seen them on quite a few creations by now.

The base of my tag is a piece of background I made with the gel press and stencils. I adhered washi tape to the tag and then completed with different background stamps. The butterfly I stamped on two different leftovers, cut them out and used only half of each butterfly to make this one. Adhered it to the tag, lifting the top wings with foam pads. Stamped the sentiment, cut it to labels and added it. Smudged the edges with gold pigment ink.

Hope you like this! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
The theme of this week is

Christmas Florals

Stamping, masking, stenciling are the ingredients for this simple card. I colored the floral arrangement with alcohol markers, masked everything and stencilled the background. Added a few splatters of black ink to the card. The sentiment is gold embossed.

Have Fun!

OLD

Hi everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie for this month is:

OLD
This month we're sticking to the movie title.
So you can use old stuff and/or craft something that looks old or aged.
(old stamps, old designer papers, vintage, but also skeletons and skulls)

For this challenge I used an age-old 3-D image. These images started my passion for card making a good 15 years ago, so yes, they are very very old! Now I am hopelessly addicted to stamping for over 10 years, but I still have a few of these 3-D images left.
I made the background with acrylic paints and color-wise I was more or less inspired by the movie poster. The sentiment is computer generated. It says: Wine, juice with more life experience

Have Fun!

I will walrus be your friend!

Hi everyone!
A little reminder about our "International Day of Friendship" challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club...

As with the last challenge, I also used two of the cute walrus from Stampin'Up for this one.
I stamped them on Bristol paper and colored them with alcohol markers.
For the waves I cut a strip of paper wavy and used it as a mask. Cut out the fish and glued them on. The tips of the waves are traced with fine liner. The sentiment comes from the same set. Hope you like it.

Have Fun!

Light Bulb Moment

Hi everyone,
I'm back with a new new Katzelkraft creation.

I stamped the light bulb, masked it and stenciled the background. I started with Cracked Pistachio, then placed the stencil over the colored area and applied Mermaid Lagoon - both Distres Oxides. I removed the mask, stamped the succulents into the bulb and colored them with Alcohol Markers. The bulb I colored with watercolors. Stamped the chain to hang the bulb, masked it again and splattered the card with black ink. The sentiment is embossed on black cardstock and cut into labels. To bring depth to the image, I added a soft shadow next to the light bulb.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)
