It's Halloween!

Hi everyone,
It's time for a quick reminder about the current challenge at Dream Factory

The Curse of Bridge Hollow
Anything related to books🤔🤔
Our Theme:
Halloween

A quick-and-easy Halloween card in a clean and simple style, inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.
Unfortunately, I can't credit the creator, since it was a repinned image without a watermark. In any case, I really liked the card!

For the colored stripe, I masked both sides of the card—including the moon—then brushed it with Pumpkin Pie and Crumb Cake (Stampin'Up!). I sprayed water on it and dried it off right away with a paper towel. The images I stamped with black ink—several times for the cat to create a contrasting effect.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's Halloween!

Hi everyone!
The challenge at "The Little Things"
is already halfway over—so it’s time for a quick reminder.

The theme is:
Pumkin and/or Pink
with the option:
Anything Goes

Remember: The challenge blog focus on small card formats,
such as ATCs, tags, Memorydex cards, Mini Moo cards, bookmarks etc.

Orange pumpkins on a pink background...
...that really nails the theme, doesn't it?

...well, I guess there's always got to be one that stands out! But that's on purpose—three orange pumkins would have been a little boring, wouldn’t they? :))

I colored the background of the ATC with Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves (Distress Oxide). Then I punched around the edges using a die from AALL&Create and backed it with black cardstock.
I stamped the images and the sentiment onto the ATC. On the left, I added a stamped and torn strip of vellum and the number 31—which I die-cut from foam rubber.
Finally, I glued on the three pumpkins and added a little shading underneath them. Hope you like it :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Haunted Night

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

The Curse of Bridge Hollow
Anything related to books🤔🤔
Our Theme:
Halloween

October 31 is Halloween—time to get ready for “trick-or-treating”!

Once again, I decided to go for a bookmark/tag.
Using a whole bunch of old stamps,
I created this spooky scene in a very small space—I'm really happy with how it turned out.

There's actually not much more to say. I created the background using Chipped Sapphire, Speckled Egg, Iced Spruce, Fossilized Amber, and Black Soot (Distress Oxide). I then cut the tag to size using dies from AVEC and AALL&Create. The images were stamped with black ink—some multiple times to achieve varying degrees of color contrast.
... and, of course, a hint of orange for the pumpkin! 🎃

Celebrate Halloween

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I would like to briefly remind you about it.

COCO

Anything related to the
Day of the Death and/or Halloween

A while ago, I tried out the Blackout technique that I saw on a card on my friend Gundi's blog.
To save a long explanation, the technique is shown here and here ;)

I tried it three times and I don't think I'll be trying it again, because the technique uses a lot of ink and you need to have suitables embossing folders. I think floral motifs are more suitable than the ones I used. Well, at least I gave it a try!
I thought I wouldn't use them, but lo and behold, I liked one of them for my Halloween card.
I drew a few sugar skulls in different sizes because I don't have any stamps for them. I cut them out, stuck them here and there on the card, then added the embossed Halloween sentiments.

Happy Halloween

Thanks for stopping by.

Beware!

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

COCO

Anything related to the
Day of the Death and/or Halloween

No skulls, no skeletons, no ghosts, and not even well equipped for Halloween in terms of design paper.
What do you do in cases like this? Well, you do your best!
Luckily, I at least had a few pumpkins, a spider, a spider web, and a black cat. That's not too bad for a start... lol
I drew the skull with the candle by hand. It turned out that it's not that difficult to draw a skull :))
I colored in the pumpkin and the skull with the candle using alcohol ink markers. I cut them out and stuck them onto a gel print tag that I found in my stash. I also added half a flower, which I stamped onto designer paper and cut out.
The spider, cat, branch, and spider web were stamped directly onto the tag.
Finally, I stamped the word “ Beware!” and attached a thin cord to the tag.

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I wanted to give you a quick reminder on our movie

Hotel Transylvania
It's an Anything Goes Halloween Challenge
There are two more weeks left! - Maybe you still have a card or two you'd like to share...

It could have been a single layer card, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to place things,
so I decided to go for cutting and sticking.

For the pink pumpkin, I first scribbled on paper with alcohol markers, then stamped it on and cut it out. For the other two pumpkins, I used aqua markers to stamp them and then cut them out too. The green one got a few black lines and a spider. The ghost I have drawn myself.
I splattered different colors on a sheet of Bristol and stamped two bats. Glued on the pumpkins and the ghost. Stamped the sentiment with single letter stamps. Finally, I stamped the borders of a blank card with a background pattern. Cut the card with the pumpkins slightly smaller than the blank card and glued it onto the latter.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - Wicked

Hi everyone!
Today is my Katzelkraft day, but
it's also the start of a new challenge at the Dream Factory - no problem, I combined both in one.
This month's movie is

Hotel Transylvania

October 31st is Halloween, so it's almost time for trick-or-treating again!
Funny, fantastic, scary, Hotel Transylvania is a monstrously good movie.
We invite you to an
Anything Goes Halloween Challenge

I don't know if there are any witches in the movie, but Daniel Torrente's little one had to be on my card.
As you can see below, I used a few more Katzelkraft stamps, as well as stamps from other brands.
The background of the card is scrap paper, one of those papers you try out stamp impressions, stencils and colors etc. on before you finally use them.
I just added some silhouettes and background stamps as well as red ink splatters. The little witch and the sentiment, I cut out and pasted it onto the card. I used alcohol ink markers for coloring.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

If you would like to see more of my Katzelkraft creations,
just click on the Katzelkraft label at the end of the post, or here.
