Into the Wild

Hi everyone!
We are entering the second half of our current challenge at the Dream Factory
MAVKA. The Forest Song - An Ukrainian movie - chosen to honor a brave country fighting for its freedom...
You can show everything that lives or grows in the forest on your creations.

The basic idea for my tag was to merge two animals into one. I think it worked. - What do you think?

The background is a piece of scrap paper - you know, the paper you roll the brayer on to remove the color when you make gel prints or blends. - I glued it onto cardstock to reinforce it.
On the right I stamped two fir trees. On the left I glued on some torn washi tape.
I stamped the moon on a gel print remnant, cut it out and added it.
I created the fantasy animal with the help of masks. Colored it with alcohol ink markers and then cut it out. - I used washi tape on the left antler before stamping. So I didn't color this one.
I glued the animal to the tag together with a fir branch and a die-cut leaf.
Fianally, I added the sentiment and tied a ribbon to the tag.

I got stuck

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project.

After the crocodiles, it's now the snakes' turn...

I die-cut a branch from a leftover gel print. Stamped the snake, colored it with alcohol ink markers and fussy cut it. Entangled the snake with the branch and glued the whole thing onto a stencilled background, I found in my stash. Stamped the sentiment with single alphabet letters and heat embossed half of it.

Hope you like it. See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

White Roses

Hi everyone!
February is the month when I start needing birthday cards.

This one was for my youngest son's partner.
She loves dark purple and dark green and white roses are one of her favorite flowers.

I started by die-cutting the rose branch twice. Once from Bristol paper and once from strong watercolor paper. I glued vellum paper onto the flowers of the Bristol paper die cut. Colored it with a white pastel crayon and glued on the second die cut. I cut off the overlapping parts of the vellum paper and added a touch of Wink of Stella to the roses. Colored the leaves with alcohol ink markers.
To create the background, I made large purple strokes with an ink pad. Added metallic watercolor splatters and washi tape strips. I cut the panel to size and adhered it to a blank card. Added the rose branch (foam pads), a die cut sentiment and three half pearls.

If you look very carefully, you can see the Wink of Stella sparkle.

The Best is yet to Come

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project.
Today it's the crocodiles' turn!

As I couldn't decide on just one, I took them all :))
The crocodiles found place on a stenciled background on which I had previously masked the areas for the animals. I then stamped them and colored them with alcohol ink markers. Stamped the sentiment, cut the sheet to size and adhered it to a blank card.

Beautiful Blooms

Hi everyone!
I am back with a quick reminder about our current challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club.

Random Acts of Kindness Day

A very simple and quickly made card that doesn't really have much to say.
The flowers are die-cut from patterned paper and glued to black cardstock. - This makes the colors pop!
A strip of washi tape and a strip of white paper - stamped several times with the same sentiment. Hope you like it.

Charlie

Hi everyone!
I have the great honor of being this month's guest designer at CAS on Sunday .
The theme is: Boy / Male card and it has to be CAS

This challenge is really well timed because I needed a birthday card for a man this week.

The idea for this card was inspired by a quote from Charlie Chaplin
...and of course Charlie had to be on it too!

Charlie is composed of one of Katzelkraft's Pabos, an umbrella from which I only took the carrying stick, a hat from AALL&Create and a die-cut bow tie from Scrap Plaisir.
Everything is watercolored, cut out and glued together.
I painted him eyebrows, his typical mustache and a few curls of hair.

Oh, there were also his feet! I cut them off and glued them closer together.
I sponged the background in yellow on the left and stamped over it with a stamp from Kaisercraft.
I actually have a stamp for Charlie's quote in English, but the dear man for whom the card was intended is French and not quite so young anymore. So I made small labels in French and glued them on.

I think you've already guessed which quote it is...
"A day without laughter is a day wasted."

Peace on Earth

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie for this month is...

Mavka - The Forest Song

This is an Ukrainian movie.
We chose it in honor of this brave country that has been fighting for its freedom for far too long...

You can use anything that lives or grows in the forest for your projects

For today's card, I only used gel print scraps and some scrap paper.
I stamped the animals on various scraps and cut them out. Lightened some parts of the animals with a white pastel pencil, especially on the deer and the fox. The owl's eyes I colored in with glitter gel pen.
On the leaves, I highlighted the veins with a brown crayon. The tree and branch are cut out of scrap paper. The background is also scrap paper. The dragonfly in the bush on the right is stamped on vellum paper.
To make it fit better into the scene, I tore off the sentiment along the lettering.

Have Fun!
