Today marks the start of challenge #3 on 

“The Little Things”

The theme is: Rainbow, sun and clouds

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.

Any card type that is smaller than a standard card (10,5 x 15 cm / 4.1" x 5.9" inch) is okay, 

such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards, 

Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

The variety of card shapes gives you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

Here’s what came to mind...

For these two ATCs, I used mostly things I already had on hand. 

A while back, I wanted to make a card using a large background (15 x 10.5 cm), but I thought it was too huge and couldn't figure out how to work with it. So it ended up in my stash.

The dog and the girl have been lying around for months—but today was one of those days where everything just came together! :))

I cut two ATC cards out of the large background, brushed the sky with Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide), and stuck two strips of washi tape at the bottom of each card. For the houses, I just went with the colours of the stamp design—not very imaginative, I know!

The clouds were part of the large stamp; all I had to do was stamp the sentiment and raindrops and stick on the dog.

Same goes for the second ATC. The sun, brushed with Wild Honey (Distress Oxide), was also part of the large background stamp. I just glued on the girl and the sentiment, which I had stamped on a small label.

I didn't add a rainbow, but I tried to include at least some of its colors here and there.

The French sentiment says:

Après la pluie vient le beau temps

After rain comes sunshine

Vespa - What else!

Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory

Our movie for this month is:

Drive

This month we say: 

Anything that has Wheels Goes. 

...think outside the box! ;))

I stamped the Vespa once on a blank card and once on patterned paper. Cut out a part of the Vespa from the patterned paper and stuck it onto the Vespa that was stamped on the blank card. I then stamped the girl and colored her in with alcohol ink markers, trying to match the color of her pants on the poster. Cut out the girl and added her next to the Vespa.

For the background of the card, I scribbled with aqua markers on acetate, smudged lightly, sprayed with water and then applied the color onto a few areas. Used a brush and the same markers to add a little more color. 

I die cut the letters for VESPA from peach-colored foam and lightly inked them with purple alcohol ink markers. Pasted them to the card and stamped the “What else !” 

Finally, I added a narrow strip of washi tape to the bottom of the card.

You Totally Rock

Hi everyone!

We are entering the second half of our current Dream Factory Challenge. This month there are two films to choose from....

Miami Vice and/or Freaky Friday

In short: "Masculine and/or Feminine". 

While rummaging through my stash box, my eyes fell on a background stenciled with hearts. That was the starting point for my card. Since I wanted to do something on Freaky Friday, the hearts were just the thing.

Then I had to get a guitar! I found it in an old Stampin'Up set :)) .....the sneakers are also from that set.

It took me a while to get everything arranged because I felt like something was missing.

Then, quite by chance, the filmstrip came to mind and that was that missing piece! Next to it I attached two die cut strips, picked up a few of the tiny stars and stuck them here and there on the card. 

Finally, I stamped the sentiment. Cut it into labels and adhered them along with the cut out letters for the word ROCK. And last but not least, I colored three of the hearts with a turquoise crayon.

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory

The movie for this month is

LUCK

We have St. Patrick's Day in minde, 

but you're welcome to take inspiration from the movie poster and the movie itself! (see below)

I've been digging through my scrap box a lot these days....

...and guess where I found the background for this ATC? ...exactly, in my scrap box! :)) 

I splattered the piece of gelprint with white ink. While it was drying, I stamped the little girl and the cat, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out. I stamped different background designs and the sentiment on the ATC. Added the girl and cat and backed the ATC with black cardstock. I think it fits the challenge :))

Après la pluie ...

Hi everyone!

No work on the design teams today. I just felt like making something for myself!

ATC's mit Herz are all about rainbow colors. I got carried away and made this cute little card.

The background is from my stash - (negative pattern of a stencil with tiny hearts) 

The sun and the rainbow are also made with stencils, but I cut out the rainbow and glued it on - please don't ask me why. The little girl is also cut out and added. I colored her with alcohol ink markers. 

All other images I stamped directly onto the ATC. The first part of the sentiment, I stamped on a cut out cloud, so that it comes to better advantage. The sentiment says: After the rain comes the sunshine.

Katzelkraft - Be yourself

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation. I've been playing with the adorable "Cats on Books", designed by Liubka.

A touch girly as the card is for a blogger friend's birthday.

I stamped the stack of books with the cat and some plants. Masked everything and stenciled the background  with Picked Raspberry and Cracked Pistachio (Distress Oxide). Splattered with black ink, removed the masks and stamped a sentiment from the Ataraxia set. I trimmed the panel and backed it with light purple cardstock before gluing it to the blank card.
