Best Friends...

Hello everyone!
It's time for a little reminder on our current Dream Factory challenge! - Hoodwinked
Keywords: red riding hood, animals, forest animals, wolf...

A verry quick and easy card!
I stamped several trees on a white panel and added a tiny wolf behind one of them. The little red riding hood is hand drawn and colored with a felt-tip pen. The panel is backed with black glitter foil and the sentiment is stamped just below - that's all!

I hope I inspired you with my little card!

Hey, chick!

Hello everyone!
Today I made a funny card for Easter...

I don't think these chicks wants to lay eggs for Easter. ...In early spring, they are more likely to be full of nonsense!
They comes from a Sale-a-bration set (Stampin' Up) and there are two more chickens and a half-hatched chick on it. I chose the shaggy one - every time I see it, it makes me laugh so much.
I cut it three times and coloured it with watercolour markers. Two hid behind the frame and the third is sitting on a branch that I scribbled by hand.

Winter is coming....

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52 Christmas Card Throwdown day and this week we have a technique for you...

Embossing Folder Background

There are several embossed panels for the background.....
For the large panel, I embossed with a star embossing folder and used the negative side. I added blue color with a Brayer and stamped a few stars in black to give more interest. The other two embossed pieces are leftovers that I found pretty to add!
The picture was with a cheese platter! In the middle of it was a white circle with the inscription "Quite a cheese", which of course was not compatible with my Christmas card! So I stamped this pretty little tit on watercolour paper, cut it a little bigger than the initial circle, drew the continuity of the branches, coloured it and then stuck the circle with adhesive foam pads. The picture is backed with black cardstock. I fussy cut the sentiment, sponged the edges of the two rectangles with black ink and stuck it to the card.

Hope you like it!

From balloon to Easter egg!

Hello everyone!
I've missed it so often and this month too, I'm just in time to do my Twofer entry!

Here it is...

Both cards are created with an embossed folder, which also punches certain parts - like the balloons here!

I kept the out cuts for my second card.

For my first card I punched the balloons out of glitter foam and glued them into the openings. I bordered the lower part with masking tape, sponged with Distress Oxide inks and sprinkled a few drops of water on it. Finally I set a few dots with pearl pen.

For my second card I used the out cuts from the first one.
I cut the knots off the balloons and look, it became Easter eggs. I sponged them with Distress Oxide Inks and sprinkled with water again. The little bunny is a gift from my friend Cornelia - I love it so much!!
I stamped the sentiment on a speech bubble.
The pink egg, the bunny and the speech bubble are fixed with foam pads.

Who needs snow?!

Hello everyone!
I couldn't help laughing when I saw Dotty Jo's card and remembered that I also have a llama........
Thanks for the inspiration, Jo!

I combined my lama (Action) with a Santa and a sentiment from the Stampin' Up's So Santa set.
To make the background, I wet the paper, scribbled with a light blue felt-tip pen on an acrylic block and then pressed it against the wet paper. I let it dry with the acrylic block on the paper. The llama and Santa are watercoloured with felt-tip pens, the palm tree is stamped with Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz (SU). - I fussy cut them all and glued them to the card.

That was my first idea. Exactly the same stamps as on the card above, but here I put them on an embossed background. - Santa seems to be in seventh heaven...

...can't say which one I like better - hope you like them both!

Gingerbread Men

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52 Christmas Card Throwdown day and this week we have a theme for you...

Gingerbread Man

It's rather rare that I use patterned paper, but today I had something like a urge!
I cut the above paper in the way that I could use one of the "Merry Christmas" - colored it with a gold marker and highlighted it with a dark felt-tip pen. I glued a golden zigzag ribbon on the connection of the two papers but it was a bit too golden for me, so I added a white organza ribbon in addition.
I die cut the gingerbread men and exchanged the little elements to give them expression. I traced the contours with a fine liner and added small strokes to the arms and legs.
I stuck the gingerbread men with foam pads and added a glittering star  to the ribbon.

Have fun with our challenge!

DotMCC - Challenge #1 - Reminder

Hello everyone!
A few days ago I introduced you to our Day of the Month Card Club Challenge Blog and its first challenge......
Today, I would like to inspire you again with another happy card ;)

Our theme is

I want you to be happy day

We celebrate this day by doing something that makes others happy. Receiving an unexpected handmade gift is always a pleasure - no matter how big or small it is!!

This card is very simple. One or two lines with a felt-tip pen, a few leaves at the end and the bird had its branch! Two small clouds that can not hide the sun and the card was almost finished! I just added a black border on the left and the sentiment. The sun is stamped with Daffodil Delight (SU), bird and clouds are watercolored with felt-tip pens.

...do YOU want to make us happy? - nothing easier than that! Link your work to our Challenge and we will be! 😉

.....and please, don't forget to comment on at least 3 other participants, because even a nice little comment can make a happy day!

Have fun and remember...

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!

Stamps: ...exept the sun (Stampin'Up), they're a gift from Gundi, my friend and teammate 😊
Inks: Daffodil Delight (Stampin'Up); Felt-tip pens

GOLD and WHITE

Hello everyone!
The new challenge at 52Christmas Card Throwdown is a color challenge. This week we're asking for
Gold and White.

Not easy at all, to strike a good balance between Gold and White....

My first card is very simple. I cut out different sized triangles from gold patterned vellum leftovers and arranged them on the card. I added faux stitches along the edges and stamped the sentiment.

For the second card I chose gold glitter cardstock. I cut out a panel and placed a fir tree and stars using a stencil and textured paste. The second fir tree was made with the same stencil, but this time I used glue and gold powder. I cut it out and stuck it with foam pads.
The lower edge of the panel is a piece of embossed white paper. It's torn on one side to suggest a snow hill. I stamped snowflakes with gold pigmented ink on the base card and glued the die cut sentiment to the panel.

Have fun and ...be golden!

Inks: Onyx Black (Versafine); Gold pigment ink (....)

Hello everyone!
I'm happy that our Challengeblog already has so many followers - only 4 days left, then the waiting is over!
Today you can read there what exactly we have in mind to challenge you. ;)

Have a nice and sunny Sunday!

...hey, did you think I'd just leave without showing a card?!

For this image I followed a tutorial from Dawn! - I've had my alcohol markers for a while but I still need a lot of practice! I copied the image by hand and followed the tutorial step by step. - I added a few splashes of Bermuda Bay (SU) as a personal touch.
Of course mine is by far not as good as Dawn's but I am satisfied!

See you soon!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52 Christmas Card Throwdown day and for the first week of the month, we always have a sketch to challenge you.

Here's my version!

The white background is embossed and covered with a strip of design paper on the right.
Instead of the circle, I used the church and two trees from the "Hearts come home" set by Stampin' Up. - Die cut of red cardstock.
The design paper just below it is a leftover of the one I used for last week's card
The sentiment is heat embossed on a tiny strip of black cardstock.
...and if you look closely, you see that I have used grey stars on my card to represent the dots on the sketch.

Happy sketching!

Hexagons and ...somthing new! ^^

Hello everyone!
The secrecy has come to an end and today I'll tell you what it's all about! .....but first I show you my card, which was made with one of my ugly ducklings (unhappy results with spray inks). 😉

I die cut hexagons of different sizes from one of the sheets on which I experimented with my ink sprays, and backed them with black cardstock. - The flowers already were on the sheet before die cutting...
While die cutting I got a narrow hexagon rim, liked it and added it to the card. - The panel in the background is embossed with a piece of linen fabric. For more depth I mounted the large hexagon with foam pads and the one with the sentiment in three layers.

I'm quite happy with the result.... 😊

...and now to the most important part! :))

In the last days I told you that there will be something new on my blog.
- Well, I don't want to keep you waiting any longer
...here it is!

From today on there is a new Challenge Blog "Day of the Month Card Club" and that's OUR!

WE:
Gundi from Papierelle
Cornelia from Stempelspass
and me, Rosi from Let's take time... (you're on my blog right now)

decided to create this Challenge Blog!

We are three friends and have a common passion - making cards!
But we also have many other similar interests and ...we love fun!
All three of us are originally from Germany and not so far away from each other, but how life is, we only met while blogging and are friends since then!

Where does the name of our blog come from? What will be the Challenge topics? - We are very excited and hope that you will like our concept, but ssst .....more of it in the next post! ;)
....have a look at the blog, there is already the team to see and of course you can get familiar with the rules ;)

...stay tuned, just a few more days and then it's on!

See you soon 😉
