Dreaming of Santa Claus...

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52 Christmas Card Throwdown day and this week we have a technique for you...

POP UP

The two sweet kittens are dreaming of Santa Claus...

...and when you open the card, he's already there!

I used two squares for the window in the card - one for die-cutting and the second for embossing. Underneath I created a small winter scene. The cats are watercolored with felt-tip pens and then fussy cut.
When you open the card, a small box appears, from which Santa Claus and two of his little helpers look out.

You can see how this works in the short video!

The dies for the box are available at Lawn fawn, but I just stole the idea! 😉

I hope I have inspired you! - I look forward to your creations!

Be the best version of you!

Hello everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

Breakfast at Tiffany's
Frühstück bei Tiffany
Diamants sur canapé

Keywords: women, fashion, jewellery, love...

I used stamps from various manufacturers for this card. The Eiffel Tower, the sun and the sentiment are from Craft Sensations, the girl is from Stampin'Up and the arc at the top of the card is from Katzelkraft.
I watercolored with felt tip pens. The upper part of the background is light blue and the lower part light purple to light brown. I made the dress and the hat of the girl with the paper piecing technique. I stamped the girl on a blue inked paper (from my kitchen) and fussy cut the required piece.
On the left I glued a narrow black stripe of cardstock - I think this gives the card a more interesting look!

And now I hope to be a source of inspiration for you and look forward to your work....
Have fun with our challenge!

Vintage Christmas

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52 Christmas Card Throwdown day! This week it's a theme challenge and we're asking for a

Shabby or Vintage card

I started by stamping the Christmas tree on a sheet of kraft cardboard. Then it was Santa's turn, then the snowflakes and the score. To reinforce the vintage look, I sponged the edges and also the card with Early Espresso (SU). I head embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder on black cardboard, die-cut it and glued it with foam pads just under the score. Finally I colored the baubles with Real Red (SU) and added then ultra fine glitter using glue.

From this angle you can see the glitter a bit better...

That was a lot of fun!
Now it's up to you! - We are looking forward to your works!

Stamps: Santa and music score (Crafty Secrets); Snowflakes (SU); Tree and Sentiment (Craft Sensations (Action))
Inks: Early Espresso, Real Red, Tranquil Tide (SU)
Dies: Craft Sensations (included in the stamp set)
Ultra fine white glitter, gold embossing powder

DotMCC - Challenge #4 - Reminder

Hello everyone!
Today I come with a new inspiration for our current Day of the Month Card Club Challenge.

The theme is...

Hug you cat
Celebrated on June 4th

Did you know that:
- The oldest ancestors of the cat already lived about 50 million years ago
- A cat has 32 muscles in each ear to move them - humans only have 6.
- Aspirin can be fatal to the cat. What helps us against headaches is not for kitties.
- Cats sleep up to 16 hours a day

That's me, hugging my cat. 😁

The image is composed of two stamps - the girl and the cat. The girl is holding a little basket that I cut off and replaced with the cat. To do this I made a mask with the cat and once positioned on my panel, I stamped the girl on it. I removed the mask and stamped the cat, then I drew the girl's arms.
I watercolored with felt-tip pens. The background is slightly pink - a remnant of a test with inks. I added the sentiment plus a small black strip on the side and glued the panel on a white card.

Have Fun with our new challenge
and show us your cute, funny and wild little Tigers!
...and please don't forget that 3 of your fellow participants would be happy to receive a little comment 😉

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!

O Christmas Tree!

Hello everyone!
It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! This week we're colorful:

Grey - Pink - Kraft

I love these colors and I wanted to see only them on my card!
I stamped three different trees in the requested colors and watercolored the smallest ones of them.
I die-cut the "Joyeux Noël" once out of silver cardstock and once out of black cardstock and glued the two slightly shifted together. I am really very happy with the outcome! :))

I hope you like the challenge as much as I did! Have fun!

DotMCC-Challenge #4 - Hug your cat

Hello everyone!
Today begins our 4th challenge at DotMCC, but first of all I would like to thank you for all the wonderful creations you shared with us during the previous challenge! 💗

 Our new Challenge theme is:

Hug your cat
Celebrated on June 4th

Sometimes they are cuddly, sometimes they are wild hunters, sometimes they are gentle, sometimes you can barely control them: Cats.
It is man's favourite pet and it is as fabled as it is funny. - This month they are the stars of our challenge and we will give them a big, big hug!

I think my cat's cuddling with me, but that's okay too! I found the image on the net and was immediately attracted to it. This look and this thick licking....

I die cut the frame, drew the cat on the inner part and colored it with alcohol markers. I underlaid the whole thing with black cardstock. The background is the remnant of a homemade design paper. I wrote a short text around the frame.
It may not look like it, but the card was made pretty quickly.

Well, hug your cats and whatever else you want to do with them and have fun with the Challenge!

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!
...and that makes us happy! 😉

Joyeux Noël

Hello everyone!
It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! On the first Saturday of the month we always start with a sketch. (See below)

The challenge was easier than I thought at first! - I have to say that I always have a little trouble with sketches, it's probably because I don't have enough practice!
There's not much to say about this very simple card. It is made from leftovers that were lying around and to my great surprise everything "nested" perfectly! The only thing I added was the words "Joyeux Noël". Once in black and once in silver then glued together by shifting them slightly.

Happy sketching!
