You Totally Rock

Hi everyone!
We are entering the second half of our current Dream Factory Challenge. This month there are two films to choose from....

Miami Vice and/or Freaky Friday
In short: "Masculine and/or Feminine"

While rummaging through my stash box, my eyes fell on a background stenciled with hearts. That was the starting point for my card. Since I wanted to do something on Freaky Friday, the hearts were just the thing.

Then I had to get a guitar! I found it in an old Stampin'Up set :)) .....the sneakers are also from that set.
It took me a while to get everything arranged because I felt like something was missing.
Then, quite by chance, the filmstrip came to mind and that was that missing piece! Next to it I attached two die cut strips, picked up a few of the tiny stars and stuck them here and there on the card.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment. Cut it into labels and adhered them along with the cut out letters for the word ROCK. And last but not least, I colored three of the hearts with a turquoise crayon.

Katzelkraft - APRIL

Hi everyone!
It's Tuesday, I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project!

I created this tag based on Isa's moodboard (see below).
The requirement was: see through, transparency (vellum, acetat ect).

I have fulfilled the requirement with an umbrella made of acetate. The umbrella, as well as the rabbit, the grass and the raindrops in the background are stamps from Katzelkraft. The daffodils are from Stampin'Up.

I started by stamping and coloring the bunny and the daffodils. Cut them out and placed them on the tag (wood patterned designer paper) to see how they fit.
I then stamped the umbrella on acetate (StazOn). I let the ink dry well before adding a bit of color (alcohol ink markers). I die cut the letters for the word "April" from water green foam and colored the edges with a slightly darker alcohol ink marker. The small flowers I cut out of designer paper.
Now all the pieces were ready to be glued on. But before there were a few little things to do on the tag.

First, I applied a few brush strokes of white ink to soften the blue a bit.
I then stamped the grass and raindrops, added a little text here and there, and applied washi tape with text in a few places.

I loosely arranged all the pieces to see how best to place them.
Something bothered me about the umbrella, it was kind of too flat. It didn't take long to come up with the saving idea! I glued a thin paper string under each long rib because white foam tape would have been visible. Now the umbrella stands out from the background and looks more real.

Now that everything was prepared, all that was left was to glue the pieces to the tag. To enhance the rain effect, I added lots of transparent pearl pen droplets.

I am really very happy with the result.

Hope you like it as much as I do. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

All is calm - all is Bright

Hi everyone!
Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge.
This week we want you to use this technique:

Vellum Embossing

Nothing easier than this card!
The background is from a designer paper pad to which I attached the vellum embossed with snowflakes.
The sentiment is from Katzelkraft. I heat embossed it on black cardstock in silver. Cut it out and adhered it to the card. Added a few rhinestones to the snowflakes. That's it!

Katzelkraft - One more Chapter ?

Hi everyone,
It's Katzelkraft day! - I tried something new today... :))

Recently there was a mini moo challenge on Instagram and of course that immediately caught my attention!!

So here is my very first Mini Moo!

The little kitten looks up in awe to the cat goddess Bastet....

A mini moo is a small card that measures only 7 x 2.8 cm - so it's really very small.
I wanted to show that Katzelkraft stamps are also great for this small size, and that these tiny cards are perfect for recycling a lot of beautiful scraps that would otherwise just sit around or end up in the trash.

I stenciled the background with tiny hearts and sponged the edges with Distress Oxide. Added washi tape (text) and stamped the word Shakespeare (AALL&Create) on the top. I stamped the cat on books on bristol paper and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out and added it to the mini moo. I wrote the sentiment, cut it to labels and added them as well.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Happy B-Day

Hi everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory
This month we have two movies to choose from

Miami Vice and/or Freaky Friday
Anything Masculine and/or Feminine goes!

I was inspired by the masculine theme
and the fun neon colors of one of those fabulous retro designs you can find on Pinterest.

Most of the card is made with die cuts, only the flamingo and the palm tree are stamps (Stampo - Aladine).
I spiced up the sun with Picked Raspberry (Distress Oxide).  Hope you like it :)

Have Fun!

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!
Let's go for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
The theme of this week is

Santa

A strip of design paper and a Father Christmas from Katzelkraft - that's all for this card.
I cut the design paper slightly smaller in height than the card. Glued it on and drew a black line all around. I applied Wink of Stella to the roofs and trees. (Hard to see, but it is there)
Then I stamped the Santa Claus. Colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out and attached it with foam tape. Added some Wink of Stella here as well. (hat, sleeves and robe edges)
I embossed the sentiment on black cardstock. I cut it out along the words so it wouldn't look to bold.

Have Fun!

Frohe Ostern

Hi everyone!
A little reminder about the Find a Rainbow Day challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club...

I started by stamping the sun using a homemade stencil and Fossilized Amber (Distress Oxide).  I then stamped the grassbunnybranche, flowers and eggs. Added a few blue spots betwen the sun and the grass to suggest the sky.
I stamped the bunny a second time on a piece of background paper from my homemade stash. Cut it out and added it to the card. Stamped some more grass. Colored the Easter eggs and flowers with alcohol ink markers.
Stamped the sentiment and colored it with a black marker. I trimmed the finished card and added it to a white card base. I made a pretty similar card last month.

Katzelkraft - Happiness

Hi everyone,
Today is Katzelkraft day and I'm back with a new project.

Sitting on a couch and licking an ice cream - well if that is not a moment of happiness .....!

First, I stamped the couch, masked it and then stamped the checkerboard pattern for the floor.
Next I sponged the background with Distress ink and then stenciled little hearts with the same color. I then removed the mask and colored the couch and pillows.
Once that was done, I stamped the animal - once on the card and a second time on Bristol paper. Colored it, cut it out and added it to the card. Actually it holds a lollipop in its hands, but the last few days the weather was so sunny and warm that I swapped the lolly for an ice cream cone.  ;))

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)
