It's never too late...

Hi everyone!

Time for a little reminder about the current Dream Factory challenge.

The film for this month is

RED

Our current challenge is to use the color red. I have chosen the shaggy animal from Katzelkraft and colored it with watercolors.  I love his big eyes!♥♥ 

To make the red look a little more vibrant, I added a few accents with Distress Ink Barn Door. 

I masked the animal, sponged a bit of Cracked Pistachio (Distress Oxide) in the background, and sprinkled on a few droplets of black ink.

For the shading underneath him, I used Black Soot (Distress Oxide).

I removed the mask and added the sentiment.

Katzelkraft - Magic

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft card. :))

The "Whimsy mushrooms" set I used for my last card was still on the crafting table. 

This inspired me to create another card with these stamps.

I decided to add an extra touch of fancy to today's card using the Moon Fairy silhouette stamp from Crackerbox.

I stamped the silhouette and then cut out just the fairy and the stars that go with it. That was pretty tedious! 

...I'm crazy, I know!

I stamped all the mushrooms, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out too. 

I used a background from my gel print stash. Stenciled it with trees and leaves and added a few white strokes to the trees to give them depth. I then added the mushrooms and fairy. Embossed the quote, cut it into pieces and added it as well. As a final touch, I glued tiny stars to the fairy's stars.

Snowmen meeting

Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. 

This week we want you to 

Use a Stencil

I stenciled the fir trees using an old embossing tool from Fiskars - one of my first purchases when I started cardmaking. - That was a long time ago!

I then inked the background with Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide). To do this, I put some ink on a sheet of acetate, sprayed it with water, and pressed the watercolor-like ink here and there on the background.

I stamped the snowmen (Hein Design), colored them with Distress Oxide inks and cut them out. I added a strip of foam tape to the bottom and sprinkled it with white and blue glitter. Adhered the snowmen with foam tape as well. 

Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Katzelkraft and added a few tiny stars.

Katzelkraft - Hang on

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project. :))

For today's card, I put the spotlight on the "Whimsy mushrooms" and "Frogs" sets. 

I also used stamps from the "To the Moon and Back", "Wild Grass" and "Water Drops" sets. 

I stamped the frogs on already inked cardstock and cut them out. I colored the mushrooms with alcohol markers and cut them out too. I stamped the soil, grasses and raindrops directly on the background painted with acrylic paint. I used foam tape to attach the mushrooms and frogs. 

Finally, I embossed a sentiment on black cardstock, cut it into labels and added it to the card.

Dear Santa,

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

The theme of this week is

Christmas Mice

Actually it was supposed to be a one layer card but I stamped Santa behind the wall first. That didn't match with the sentiment! So I cut out the part that was already stenciled and stamped with the rats. Cut out the mouse tail with a precision knife and placed Santa behind it. This way I was able to save the card from the trash. :))

Stamped the sentiment and addes a few ink splatters. Now I like it!

A Shade of Red...

Turning RED

We make it simple!

Everything goes with the color RED

I stamped the gals and colored them partially with red watercolor. Masked them and made black ink splatters. Added a quote from Audrey Hepburn that I embossed on black labels, stamping only the word RED in red.

Dots, Dots, Dots...

Hi everyone!

A quick reminder about the International Dot Day, 

our current challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club.

I actually wanted to use this die for last week's card, but I didn't like the result at all! 

After a week to think about, here is my new idea. 

I die cut the panel from black cardstock. Colored the dots I had punched out of Bristol paper at the first attempt with alcohol ink markers and put them in the holes of the black panel. Trimmed the panel and adhered it to a blank card.

Finally, I die cut a Happy Birthday out of glitter cardstock and added it to the card.

I like this result much better :))
