Katzelkraft - Listen to nature

Hi everyone!

Actually, my Katzelkraft day is tomorrow, but since the reminder for the Dream Factory challenge "A Bug's Life" is also due, I'm posting exceptionally today!  

My second art-journal page... 

...who would have thought I would ever start something like this! 

But that's me - I love challenges and the one from Isa has inspired me a lot!

I printed the background directly into the art journal using Gel Press, acrylic paint and stencils, leaving the previous and following pages blank. I tore off a few bits along the edges and lightened the center with white gesso. Stamped the crawling little critters from the "Les Nounounes" set by Katzelkraft once on the art journal pages and then again on Bristol paper. Colored and fussy cut them, and then pasted them onto the ones in the AJ. 

I stamped a sentiment on one the left of the journal, cut small openings in the other side, and then stamped the words underneath. Three of the little creepy crawlies I added little frames to.

Lastly, I sponged the edges of the two blank pages with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot and then pasted them to the printed pages.

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we are asking you for

Paper Piecing

Not much to say for today's card. 

I lightly colored the embossing folder with Chipped Sapphire and sprayed it with water 

before embossing the background. Doesn't look bad, does it?

As for the "snow", I tore off a piece of watercolor paper and embossed it. 

Stamped the images and pasted the cut out ones on top. The snow on the fir tops is white glitter cardstock.

Finally, I lightly sponged the edges with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.

...was really fun just stamping on patterned paper, cutting out the images and putting them together!

I'm back with a new polaroid for the POLAROID POPS CHALLENGE

Today No. 5 - Animal - Mineral - Vegetable

Again I had to come up with something, because I don't have sooo many stamps from AALL&Create yet! 

The vegetables from set #448 were too big, so I stamped them on shrink plastic, colored them with crayons, cut them out and shrinked them with the heat gun.

As for the mineral, I soaked gray cardstock, scrunched it up, flattened it a bit, and then dried it with the heat gun. Colored a few spots with white ink and dark gray alcohol marker. That's how I made the little boulders.

The background is another piece of my gel printing experiments, complemented with some text stamps

....and one of my self-drawn birds from the previous Polaroid got a place amidst the veggies.

As you can see, the little watercolored piggy is very happy with his crops. Hope you like it!

Katzelkraft ..ça ressemble au bonheur

Hello everyone!

It's Katzelkraft day and I am back with a new inspiration :))

Today with a tag...

Again I used one of the fun frogs from the set "GRENOUILLES" and 

combined it with the flower from the set "CHAMPS DE CITROUILLES" 

For this tag, I followed the instructions given in ISA's live and I must say 

I'm quite pleased with the result.

I did the texture in the background with white gesso and texture paste (I don't have Heavy Gesso). Used Fossilized Amber, Rustic Wilderness and Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide) for the background and watercolors to color the flower and frog.

The flower stem is an older Katzelkraft stamp that is no longer available. Idem for the sentiment. 

It says: ..it looks like happiness

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new polaroid for the POLAROID POPS CHALLENGE

Today No. 4 - Birds

I don't own bird stamps from  AALL & Create, so I drew my birds by hand. 

I drew them on background scraps and cut them out. Their feet are made of thin paper cords. 

The  little girl is colored with alcohol markers and has a paper pieced dress. She's sitting on the wagon, which is also colored with alcohol markers. The background is a piece from my gel print experiments. 

I attached some parts with foam pads to bring more dynamics into the image. Hope you like it.

I made this card in the same style as last week's, but this time I used design paper for the background. 

I sponged with blue ink before stenciling and embossing the stars.

Hi everyone!

I made a new polaroid for the POLAROID POPS CHALLENGE

Today No. 3 - Head Swap

I cut a piece from a background made with acrylic paint, stamped it with stamps from the Background Voices set and and splattered it with white ink. Stamped Charlie and the Frog-Footman on Bristol paper, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out. I don't know why it is called Frog-Footman - he has a frog head but no frog feet. 🤔

I put Charlie's head on the Frog-Footman and adhered it to the polaroid. Wrote the sentiment I found online on white paper, cut it into labels and pasted it next to it. Hope you like it.

Katzelkraft - Excuse me a sec ...

Hello everyone!

Tuesday is my Katzelkraft day. The card for this week is made with the funny insects "Les Nounounes".

Today also starts the new challenge on the Dream Factory so I combined both in one post!

I saw a fun drawing and text on Pinterest and wanted to turn that into a card. 

It took me a few hours and put my nerves on edge before I got it done and liked it!

Was a pretty fussy job coloring and cutting out all the critters.... but when I have an idea in my head, nothing gets me off it that easily!

After that was done, I sponged the background with Distress Oxide inks, stamped the rest - branch, grasses, leaves.... and then drew the spider web by hand. Once all the insects were pasted on, I stamped ants and flies into the web. 

The sentiment I created with the computer.
