Little Sunshine

Hi everyone!
Ready to go for a new challenge at The Little Things ?.......   GREAT!!!

This month's theme is:
Sunflower and/or Squirrel
with the option:
Anything Goes

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

We hope that the variety of card styles and sizes
will give you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

A piece of stenciled paper, colored paper scraps, and washi tape are the ingredients for my ATC,
inspired by an idea I found on Pinterest.
I freehand-cut all the flower pieces from the paper scraps using scissors. For the sunflower's center, I used the lemon slice shown in the photo below; however, since I colored it, the stamped pattern is no longer visible.
I glued all the elements together to create a vibrant sunflower. Spiced up the color of the green leaves with alcohol ink markers and added a few white Poca Pen accents to the finished flower. Set the flower aside and moved on to creating the background.

I partially covered the existing stencil pattern (AALL&Create) with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide), applying them directly with the ink pads.
Next, I put some washi tape on two corners and brushed it with white acrylic paint so it wouldn't stand out too much. Before adding the flower, I stamped a white checkered pattern (Studio Light) and heat-embossed it. You can see the finished background in the photo below.
The quote is hand-lettered, as I don't own alphabet stamps that small.

A small ATC packed with lots of content! :)) – Hope you like it :)

Bee Amazing

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our Dream Factory challenge

The Beekeeper

Create something with BEES on it

Stamping, masking, stenciling, coloring—I had so much fun making this card!

The bees (Katzelkraft) are actually flies, but with the right colors, they do look quite bee-like, don't they?
After stamping the basket (Studo Light) and the flowers (IndigoBlu), I masked the hole thing and stenciled the background with Peacock Feathers (Distress Oxide) using a stencil from Craft Sensations.
After that, I stamped the bees and colored everything with alcohol ink markers. The honeycomb-like part of the basket I brushed with Fossilized Amber (Distress Oxide) and Spiced Marmalade (Distress Ink).
Finally, I stamped and embossed the sentiment and glued it on. I really like how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Alle Guten Wünsche

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

Anything Goes w: optional twist: May Flowers
(create something featuring flowers)

I made this card for a dear friend's birthday.
She was my eldest son's nanny when I still lived in Germany.
We've always remained friends, and she even visited us in France! The best nanny ever,
and a friendship that has lasted 45 years!

The pop-up card is made entirely from Stampin' Up! products.
I created it during a workshop with our crafting group.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the specific products used,
as they were provided by our Stampin' Up! demonstator.

When you open the card, the jar with the flowers lifts up. (colored w. alcohol ink markers)
The white stripe on the left leaves space for the birthday wishes ;)

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

Be Fabulous

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

Code 3

We’ll stick with the movie title—but our code is:

Use at least 3 colors of your choice !
Black, white, gray, and brown are neutral colors and may be used in addition.
You're also welcome to use the colors from the movie poster...

I picked up all the colors from the movie poster—even that from the green label! :))
According to the poster, I should have used more blue, but I liked lilac better.

The purple-striped background is from my stash and was originally intended for a card,
but as we all know, things don't always turn out as planned—especially when it comes to art!
I simply added a few black splatters and stamped a bit of text from AALL&Create.
I colored the flowers, the bee, and the labels for the sentiment with alcohol ink markers,
cut them out (or tore them), and attached them using adhesive foam pads.

Hope you like my multicolor tag

Celebrate Spring & Happy Easter

Hi everyone!

Today marks the start of challenge #2 on our brand new challenge blog

The theme is: EASTER

As the name suggests, this challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Any card type that is smaller than a standard card (10,5 x 15 cm / 4.1" x 5.9" inch) is okay,
such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.
The variety of card shapes gives you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

After searching through my stash, I found a sheet of green paper. I cut out two ATC's, stenciled squares onto them using Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide), and added text and a grid patterns with stamps.

I colored the images with alcohol ink markers and cut them out with scissors.
Since I also wanted to include inchies in our "Little Things" challenge, I used them as a background for the images.

I can’t wait to see the creativity you’ll bring to this month’s challenge!

Lily made of wood

Hi everyone!

Today I have something completely different to share with you!

I got a 3D wooden puzzle for Christmas.
Now that it's finished, I'd like to show you how beautiful this lily made of wood has turned out.
The puzzle includes a few extra pieces to extend the stem of the lily. So you can put the flower in a normal vase.
The opened lily is even articulated at the base of the flower. This means it can be bent into different positions.

The bottom part of the packaging has a very pretty floral design.
I think this could be recycled into something beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by!

Never Give Up

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

The theme is Anything Goes w/optional twist: "Think Pink".
(create something for breast cancer awareness month)

Pink is the color to wear in October...

A few die-cut letters (AVEC), twice the half flower from Katzelkraft, a few splashes of color here and there, a little stenciling and doodling, and all that in pink!
I lightly brushed the edges of the card with Picked Raspberry (Distress Oxide), the same color I used for the letters and for stencilling. The half flowers, I colored with aqua markers and alcohol ink markers.

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

Have a nice day!
