Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory

Our movie for this month is:

Fantastic Mr. Fox

This month we're going underground! 

Foxes, rabbits, rats, mice, dogs, badgers, hamsters, moles etc, 

are digging an underground tunnel system to escape some angry farmers. 

Today I did a little masking again to create this one layer card. 

As the new Dream Factory challenge is about foxes and other animals, I decided to spotlight this beautiful fox. The stamp was recently available at Action and it was just too cute to pass by. 

I surrounded the fox with flowers and foliage from Katzelkraft. 

The sentiment + moon and stars are a fragment from a large background stamp. (see below)

The background I brushed with Mermaid Lagoon and Seedless Preserves (Distress Oxide) and then splattered it with black ink. Finally, I colored the fox, flowers and moon with alcohol ink markers and stamped the foliage/grass with Rustic Wilderness (Distress Oxide).

Katzelkraft - Life is a Zoo

Hi everyone!

It's Katzelkraft day :)) 

For today's card I used lots of different sets of animal stamps as well as foliage stamps for the background.

I usually don't do "this" much stamping and masking to create a card.... 

...but today I did and I'm really pleased how it turned out :)) 

First I stamped the animals around the edge of the card and masked them. Next, I stencilled the sunrays and stamped the sun (Fossilized Amber - Distress Oxide). Brushed the spaces between the sunbeams with Mermaid Lagoon and the lower part of the card with Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide). 

I then stamped the foliage and removed the masks. 

I colored the animals with alcohol ink markers and finally stamped the quote.

Katzelkraft - Stand tall

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft card. 

Once again I used Exhale - she is such a lovely girl. 

I put her on the tall giraffe, which is also from Katzelkraft. 

 

I stamped the giraffe and masked it. Stamped the girl and masked her too. I then sponged the background (Distress Oxides) and applied a subtle pattern to the left and right with a stencil.

I removed the masks and colored the girl and the giraffe first with watercolors and then with alcohol ink markers.

The quote is part of the giraffe stamp.

Katzelkraft - Don't stop believin'

Hi everyone!

I'm back with Katzelkraft Christmas card number three. 

Christmas is just a few weeks away! 

So far I've only made three cards because I've taken a break from making Christmas cards this year. 

Before I used to make one card a week! - I really needed a time out from these cards! 

...never thought the break would last this long!

I stamped the Christmas tree with Tranquil Tide (Stampin'Up) and masked it. Stamped the girl and masked it too. Sponged the card with Speckled Egg and then stenciled stars with Chipped Sapphire and letters with Speckled Egg (Distress Oxide).

I colored Exhale (the girl) with watercolors and the Christmas balls with glitter gel pens. The sentiment is from Stampin'Up.
