Life is a book ...

Hello everyone!
It's half time at the Dream Factory, and I want to remind you of our current challenge "You've Got Mail"
Thanksgiving, Autumn, Christmas, Books and Love are the keywords for this challenge.

!!!...we also have a DT call until the end of the year and we hope to find some new members to reinforce our team.

Found the sentiment on Pinterest and thought it would fit well with the pile of books!

I stencilled the background with Wild Honey Distress Oxide and stamped then the sentiment, the light bulbs anf the books. I colored with alcohol markers. Hope you like it.

You can still play along until December 15th.
Have Fun!!

Joyeux Noël - Rouge ou Noir?

Hello everyone!
It is Saturday, and Saturday is for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown on my blog!
For this week's challenge we would like to see Gilding Flakes or foil on your cards.

The stamp and the gilding are quite imposing, so I kept the card very simple.
Just a few golden splashes and a sentiment on the plain background.

I stamped the image with Essential Glue Pad (Tzukineko) and applied ultra fine gold glitter 'cause I don't have gilding flakes, then I gently removed the excess with a blush brush.

I made a second version in black - which one do you prefer?

On this one I used VersaMagic Cloud White for the sentiment
and a darker gold glitter for the snowflake.

...not easy to capture the golden shine!

Happy stamping and have fun with all those golden things!!

Magical Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
This week I am invited as a guest designer  at C.R.A.F.T. ChallengeThe theme is: Winter.

For this guest designer event I got a digi stamp from their sponsor All Dressed Up,
which I of course used for my card.

My idea for this challenge was a shaker card.
I used blue cardstock for the background, heat embossed the sentiment in white, and stenciled stars all around. Then I cut out the frame, covered it with acetate and added 3D adhesiv foam. Filled it with all the glitter stuff and glued it to the background panel. I colored the little girl with alcohol markers and crayons, cut it fussy and glued it to the card. Replaced the snowflakes with blue rhinestones.  Voilà, isn't that beautiful?

I hope you like it and you will have a lot of fun with the winter theme!

Katzelkraft - .... sorry, I ate all the chocolates

Hello everyone!
It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation, for which I used again one of the stamps from the "Les Dodus" set. (see below)

I don't know exactly what kind of animal it is, but this rascal devoured all my chocolates!
But he is so cute, and since he is willing to share the last chocolate, I will forgive him!

I stenciled little hearts on the background (Picked Raspberry - Distress Oxide) and splashed black ink on it. Then I stamped the animal, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out fussy. I drew a chocolate, wich I also colored with alcohol markers, and cut it out. I made an incision between the belly and the right arm of the animal and stuck the praline in it. Then I glued the whole thing on the card. I wrote the sentence on paper, cut it out, backed it with black paper and glued it on the card as well. Added a strip of pink watercolor on the top edge of the card and glued the empty chocolate wrapper next to the animal. - I think I will send this card to my sister for her birthday....

Hope you like it! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration!

It's a wonderful time + Vive l'hiver!!

Hello everyone!
As you know, Saturday is 52Christma Card Throwdown day on my blog. This week we invite you to play with the following topic

Winter Wonderland

I made two cards for this theme. Since I can't decide, I'll show you both :)

I really enjoyed making this card. I love the fir trees full of snow and this funny bird skating on the frozen lake. I think it fits the theme perfectly - do you agree with me?
The firs and the bird are stamps, the lake and the snowy landscape around are hand-drawn. I colored with alcohol markers - and a hint of Distress Oxide for the sky.

This skier hurtling down the slope at full speed is an older Katzelkraft stamp that I like to use for quick and easy cards. The fir trees and the sentiment are from Scrap Plaisir (now Crea Plaisir)
I smooshed the background with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and made faux stitches with a tracing wheel.
I added a some Wink of Stella to the snow - and a bit color to the snowman's nose and the fir trees.

I hope you like how I interpreted the topic and hope you have fun with it too!

Katzelkraft - One of those days...

Hello everyone!
Today is Katzelkraft Day on my blog and I have another one of their fantastic new stamps for you to discover!
I had fun with the fat rat from the set "Les Dodus" and one of the cats from "Les Chats Russes" - ...even the little fly from the "Les Scargots" set joined the fun!
It's such a pleasure to play with these critters - whether it's the older stamps or the new ones, they all combine so well!

I started by drawing the baseboard, the mouse/rat hole and the floor. Then I wrote Mouse Home and
DOOFE KATZE - which means silly cat.
I stamped the animals once on the card and once on white paper, colored them with crayons and cut them out fussy.
I sponged the wall with Distress Oxide Wild Honey and splattered some water on it. Colored the floor tiles and the baseboard with alcohol markers.
I also drew a big piece of Swiss cheese, from which I removed a small piece and stuck it in the rat's mouth. A few crumbs fell on the floor - which of course the watchful eye of the fly noticed immediately!! Ha ha ha
I put the large piece of cheese in the rat's hands and glued it, as well as the cat on the foreseen place. I embossed the sentiment white on black, cut it to size and stuck it at the bottom of the card. Finally, I drew the bubble with the Oops! inside, and scribbled some cracks on the wall.

I really had a lot of fun creating this card!! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration!
