Beware!

Hello everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft inspiration. Today with a little foretaste of Halloween.

The meerkats are scared - maybe it's a haunted house....

I sponged the background, stamped the images and set the shadows. Stamped the meerkats on Bristol, colored them, cut them out and glued them on. I colored only the roof and few windows of the house, otherwise I kept the colors of the background. The little cat, the spider web and the embossed sentiment are from Stampin'Up. Hope you like it.

See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Don't forget to be nice...

Hello everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
This week we want you to use Stencils.

Katzelkraft is usually my first thought when making cards, no matter what occasion. That was also the case for this card. Although he looks a bit grim, the penguin is quite cute and he was allowed on the card. Lol

I first sponged the background in light blue and then stenciled with large snowflakes in light blue and purple.
The penguin was cut out after coloring and glued on. I applied some glue on the bottom part and sprinkled fine glitter on it. The snowflakes are made with glitter glue.
Finally, I embossed part of the sentiment and stamped the other part directly. I replaced the word awesome with the word cute. The panel is partially backed with light blue cardstock and pasted onto a blank card.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - Welcome...

Hello everyone!
I'm back with my weekly Katzelkraft inspiration!  A very simple card, made with the Buildings and Numbers from the new release.

My time is currently booked by my grandkids, so it had to go quickly! :)

For the background of the card I used 4 of the Number stamps and all the Buildings except the smallest one - it ended up in the circle. I colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is composed of an embossed part and a die cut part. The panel is backed with black cardstock and glued to a blank card.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

...looks a lot like Christmas

Hello everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we want to see

Birds

I'm still sticking to using more design paper!
For the background of my card I took one of the pieces from the same sheet I used for this card.

I sponged the panel with light, middle and dark blue (Distress, Distress Oxide and Stampin'Up), put glue dots here and there, sprinkled white glitter on it and let it dry.
The snow hills are made of three different sizes of white cardstock and colored with some watercolor.
I stamped the flamingos and drew them a Santa hat, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out. Colored some Christmas baubles, cut them out and hung them around the neck of one of the flamingos.
I trimmed the panel and pasted it to a blank card. Finally, I stamped a few fir trees on the horizon and the sentiment on one of the snow hills. The pink stars are leftovers from last week's card.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - Flowers...

Hello everyone!
It's Tuesday and that means I have a new Katzelkraft creation for you. Today in a rather unusual style for me.

I don't often make cards in this style, but today is one of those days.

For the background, I sponged with a few colors and made patterns with stencils. Then I stamped words, numbers and a few other patterns. The left and right sides were embossed. I lightened the butterfly with bleach and kept it uncolored. The text is stamped on vellum and attached with staples. I colored the flower with alcohol markers, cut it out and glued it on. (The flower is from one of my first stamp sets I bought at Katzelkraft - (KTZ08 no longer on sale) )

Hope you like it too. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

I used:

KTZ273 numbers rubber stamps

Numbers - KTZ273                     Flowers & Nature - KTZ274         Background halftones rond - SOLO153

+ KTZ08 (no longer on sale)

...no idea what I'm doing

Hello everyone!
Today I invite you to play along with our new Dream Factory challenge.
Our movie for this month is:

Oben / Up
Keywords: Balloons, funny, colorful, fanciful.....

This challenge immediately made me think of the Pabos from Katzelkraft! I think he fits like a glove for it.
The balloons I have made with a stencil. I covered all the other openings with masking tape so there were no surprises. I stamped Papos and the travel bag, colored them and cut them out.
I masked the balloons and then sponged the background with Distress Oxide and using a die cut cloud. Finally, I pasted Pabos, his travel bag and the embossed sentiment onto the card.

As always, you can get inspiration from the title, the movie poster and/or the keywords above.

Have Fun!

Cool Yule

Hello everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week you can play with the following colors

Rose Pink - Aqua - Metallic Gold

To create this little scene, I had to cut out many parts with scissors!
I used alcohol markers for coloring - for the pink and aqua parts, I experimented with alcohol inks...
From the pink part, I punched out stars and backed it with gold glitter paper.
From the blue "experiment" I cut wavy pieces and pieced them together to make hills, then pasted the fir trees and penguins on top. The background is stamped with tiny stars and got a few of the die cut pink stars.
The sentiment I stamped on vellum and matched it to one of the hills.
This color combo wasn't easy for me, but I like the result! Hope you like it too!

Have Fun!

Books can... - Reminder - DotMCC

Hello everyone!
It's time for a little reminder of our current challenge at Day of the Month Card Club. The theme is

Book Lovers Day

The cutie is all in love with her book, just see how she presses it to her heart!

I drew the little girl (image found on the internet), colored her with alcohol markers and then masked her with an oval. I sponged the background with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, then stenciled tiny hearts with the same color. Finally, I added a strip of washi tape under the girl's feet and wrote the sentiment. A quite simple card!

Have Fun with the challenge!
