You are magical!

Hello everyone!
Finally Jeanne (my granddaughter) and I found time to make a card. A little forced, I have to say because our plan was to go to the playground this morning. The weather played a bad trick on us and so we stayed home and were creative.
.....more she than I, in this case!

She stamped, she colored, she punched, she embossed, she glued....
....and I trimmed the card to size!! - What a great team we made!!
I think her friend Scarlett will love this pretty card!

Season to Believe - Joseph's coat technique

Hello everyone!
The last challenge for this month begins today on 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.
It's a technique challenge called Joseph's coat and you have almost two weeks to try this fabulous technique!
Here is a very good tutorial on how to use this technique to create a gorgeous multi-colored background.

For my part, I only used red, beige and black because I didn't want too many colors.
I sponged two thirds of a white panel with Real Red and the upper third with Sahara Sand (both Stampin'Up). I added some black spots and lines to the red part. I then heat-embossed the whole panel with the Merry Medley background stamp from Stampin'Up, using Versamark and clear embossing powder. After that I sponged the lower, red/black part completely with Onyx Black (Versafine). I removed the excess ink with a dry paper towel - the embossed design on the first colour came out well again.
I kept the upper part as it was and added a ribbon to the intermediate line. I glued the finished panel onto a slightly larger piece of gold glitter cardstock and then onto the white card.
I stamped the Season to Believe part with black ink on red cardstock, trimmed it to size, backed it with gold glitter cardstock and stuck it to the card with foam pads.

I love the result - hope you like it too!

Have fun with our new challenge - remenber, this time you have a fortnight to play with us!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown! This week we are looking forward to Elves on your cards.

I have no elves but when I saw this dwarf I was saved!
I gave him pointy ears and already he looked like an elf with a beard, don't you think?!
Once left, once right and in between a fir tree - it doesn't look bad at all!
All stamps of the set (Scrap Plaisir) have closed eyes and a smiling mouth. I left the fir tree as it was, but opened the eyes and mouth of the elves with a few lines. I watercolored with felt-tip pens, covered the background with thick, fluffy snowflakes (Scrap Plaisir) and added the sentiment (Lora Bailora)

I wish you a lot of fun with our new challenge!

Houseleek

Hello everyone!
Last weekend we were invited to dinner with friends. Coming empty-handed is unthinkable for me.....

...I brought this little pot of houseleek plants and a plum crumble cake - of course everything homemade!
Such a pot needs its time but when it is ready the joy is great! On the one hand they look amazingly real and on the other hand they don't need any care! My girlfriend was very happy about it.
I made them with dies and stamps from the set "Succulent Garden" by Stampin'Up.
Here are some more pots I made a long time ago.

Explore the world...

Hello everyone!
We are the 15th of the month and that means a new challenge at the Dream Factory. This month's movie:

White Squall
Reissende Strömung
Lame de Fond
Key words: Sea, sailboats, storm, team spirit, sailors, maritime

First I watercolored the lower third of the card with Bermuda Bay (Stampin'Up). After drying I masked the horizon and stamped the sun (2014/15) with Pumkin Pie (both Stampin'Up). I took off the mask and stamped the sailboats (Scrap Plaisir) with Bermuda Bay, then added a few brush strokes of Pumkin Pie under the sun, so that it reflects on the water.
Finally I stamped the sentiment, cut the panel to size and glued it to the white base card.

Hope you'll have a lot of Fun with our new challenge!

Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone!
A few days ago was my brother-in-law's birthday and what do you need for a real Bavarian - a beer of course! ...or even two, because as the Bavarian says: "You don't stand on one foot!"

So I put two beer mugs on the card...
The background was designed by myself because here in France you can't find such a special pattern! ;)
The beer mugs are from Stampin'Up - quite old stamps, which I didn't use much. Underneath there is a strip of Sahara sand cardstock, stamped with a few air bubbles and underlaid with a very narrow, red border. - I used all colours of the Bavarian crest.
I had to die-cut the Bavarian text, because there would not have been an appropriate stamp either!🤣
It says something like: Don't do anything today! ...and below: All the best!

Hope you like it...

DotMCC - Challenge #6 - Reminder

Hello everyone!

I want to remind you of our current herb challenge at Day of the Month Card Club!

I love herbs and spices for cooking and many of them grow in my garden,
and those that don't grow in my garden, I buy them. They are dried and stored in closed glasses.

This time I made two cards and as I couldn't decide, I show you both!

Once in pots as usual...

The sentiment and the pots are from Katzelkraft and as always I colored with felt pens. The herbs in the two largest pots pots are Toga stamps, the chives in the small pot are hand-drawn.
I pricked a few lines with a quilting wheel on the edges of the panel before sticking it on a green base card.

....then already picked and spread on the card.

I cut a square and masked the place for the sentiment. I used different stamps from Craft Sensations and Toga and stamped them with different inks on the card. After removing the masking square, I embossed a square and then stamped the sentiment (Craft Sensation).

I hope you have some time to play with us and you will have lot of fun with our herb challenge!
Stay healthy!

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!

NOËL

Hello everyone!
Another week's gone by and there is a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we have three colors for you:

Copper/Bronze - Dark Blue - Turquoise

To make this card, I first painted a piece of dark blue cardstock with night blue acrylic paint. To do this, I spread the paint quite roughly with an old credit card. Once dry I embossed it with an embossing folder that also cuts but I better loved it with the stars,  so I kept them in place.
I applied a bit glue here and there and sprinkled it with ultra-fine copper glitter.
Then I designed a fir with gel glue and sprinkled it with turquoise glitter.
I die-cut the word Noël from thick watercolor paper and glued it under the fir. Voilà my card!

Hope you like it and you will have some free time to play with us!
Have Fun!
