Snowmen Hugs

Hi everyone!

I'm back with another Christmas card for the TAWI July challenge. 

I created the top part of the card with both sides of a stencil. 

To do this, I first sponged the dots with Peacock Feathers (Distress Oxide). I then inked the back of the stencil with Lemon Lime Twist (Stampin'Up), sprayed it with water and placed it over the dots again. 

I pressed the stencil down lightly and then removed it. Stamped a narrow black pattern along the edges.

The cute snowmen are from Scrap Plaisir. 

I colored them with the same colors I used for the top of the card. 

I embossed the sentiment and cut it along the words so it wouldn't look too bold.

Hi everyone!

Time for a little reminder about the current Dream Factory challenge.

The film for this month is

The Croods

Stone age, wild animals, jungle

Sitting on the beach of a lost island, 

the crocodile has already put on its lifebelt and is about to plunge into the water. LOL

The beach is made of light beige cardstock on which I splattered brown and yellow ink. I also added some shadows to make it look a more real.

I splattered blue ink in the background and stuck a piece of die cut waves between the background and the sand.

I colored the images with watercolors, cut them out and glued them on. Added the sentiment and put the whole thing on a blank card.

Hi everyone!

I am playing again with the TAWI Juli challenge hosted by Isa on her Facebook group. 

This time I choose the "Card inspiration" by Sylvie + some mood board colors and elements. (see below)

Just three stamps: 

A lighthouse (colored with watercolors), a sentiment and a lemon that I turned into a sun. 

Everything else is done with die cuts. 

At first I wasn't that excited about my card, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

There's snow one else like you

Hi everyone!

Today I'm playing along with the TAWI July challenge.

The challenge is divided into different categories, so there is something for everyone!  

I have chosen the category Christmas card with the colors Turquoise, Lime and Black. 

For my card, I used a fun snowman and its four-legged friend from AALL&Create. 

I colored them with watercolors. I cut them out - I love fussy cutting, it's so relaxing! and adhered them to a background stamped with snowflakes. 

I backed the panel with Lime Green Design Paper and adhered it to a blank card. Stamped the sentiment.

Katzelkraft - Why fit in...

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft card. 

I thought I'd have to do a series of cards with some nice quotes! 

You can see the others here, here and here.

I usually pick the image first and then look for a sentiment to go with it. 

For this series of cards, I did it the other way around.

I splattered black ink on the card. Stamped the image, watercolored it and cut it out. Then stamped the quote.

To get the 3-D effect, I glued on the body of the cow and used foam tape to lift the head. 

Did you notice the eye lashes and earrings ?? :))

Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. 

This week we want you to use this technique:

Fussy Cutting

I especially enjoyed this week's challenge because I love doing fussy cutting. It's so relaxing!

Look how it turned out!

I watercolored the images and cut them out. Added some Wink of Stella to the snowman...

 I then attached the images as well as the sentiment to the embossed background using foam tape. Hope you like it.

So, now it's your turn to pick up the scissors!
