How about some tinsel?

Hello everyone!
I would like to remind you of our current challenge at the Dream Factory!
Our movie theme this month is:  Free Birds

I already used the Katzelkraft ostrich for the main work
and for this card too, I couldn't resist the Katzelkraft birds!  .....but this time I am in a Christmassy mood! 😉

I mixed blue and white acrylic paint and spread it on a piece of Bristol using an old credit card. A few minutes later (it dries very quickly) I used stencils and white acrylic paint to add some accents. After complete drying I scraped off some paint with sandpaper and so that nothing smears, I stamped the black designs with Stazon ink.
I watercoloured the bird and the fir tree with felt-tip pens, fussy cut them and glued them to the card. I wrapped some tinsel around the tree and put the ends into the bird's beak. I stamped the sentiment on small labels and cut them to size. Finally I put a warm cap on the bird's head.

You have two weeks left and I hope you have as much fun creating as I do!
See you soon....

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
Last Saturday in September - you see, time is running fast and to not lose too much of it, we go straight to our new challenge at  52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we would like to see an Easel card or a Tri-fold card.

I decided for a tri-fold card.
The background was created with the help of an embossing folder which also punches. After embossing I sponged the panel with Distress Oxide to to make the embossing more visible.  The punched stars were backed with silver glitter cardboard. I stamped some more little stars, added white splashes and glued the panel on the base card.

I cut the top of a white piece of cardstock wave-shaped, stamped the sentiment and glued it onto the folded part. I watercolored the little elf with felt-tip pens, fussy cut it and stuck it onto the card.
I won this super cute stamp set at Cornalia's Give-away! Merci Cornelia ♥

Hope you like my little elf...
Happy folding!!

Baby, it's cold outside!

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week it is all about BEARS
Only three months left!! I hope your stock of Christmas cards is almost built up - if not then join us! So it goes all by itself and in an amusing way!

To create this very simple card, I chose a bear's head and its warm hat by (Scrap Plaisir)
I coloured with felt-tip pens and then fussy cut the two images. I sponged blue Distress Oxide on a white panel, sprayed water on it and immediately dried up with a paper towel. Stamped some snowflakes and added a few tiny transparent dots here and there. I stuck the image with foam pads to the panel, made stitches along the borders, added the sentiment and glued the panel onto a white base card. Voilà!

Have fun with the bears!

Don't we look Moo-velous?

Hello everyone!
The days and weeks are running by and I wanted to play with Twofer for quite some time. Today I finally made it!

My critters come from Stampin'Up and I made these two cards with them.

The first is a "How's it going?" card.
I colored the cows with alcohol markers and then fussy cut them before I put them behind the picket fence. The MOO letters are punched out of black foam. A few tufts of grass in front of the fence were also a must!

The second card is a birthday card. I masked a lot and stamped the cows several times behind and next to each other. I also colored them with alcohol markers, but the background is watercolored. The panel is backed with black cardstock and then glued on a white base card.

The cows have actually only dots as eyes but I wanted to give them more expression. I closed them for some and opened them wide for others.

I hope you like my Moo's

How's it going?

Hello everyone!
There is a new challenge at the Dream Factory. This month's movie is:

Free Birds
Keywords are: Turkeys, Thanksgiving, Birds...

The background of my card is made with Brusho's. It is one of my first attempts with Brusho pigments - I put a bit too much of it on the paper - LOL !
It has been lying on my table for a long time and is waiting for its use - that I finally found today.
First I applied some designs with a stencil and white ink. Then I stamped black leaves around the hand-drawn hole. I added a few white splashes before I put the ostrich from Katzelkraft into the hole.
As sentiment I die-cut a white "Hi", stamped the rest on a small label and cut it into pieces.
Voilà, I hope you like it!

Maybe you have some time to play along with us....
Have fun with our new topic!!

Black & White

Hello everyone!
Sorry, I'm a little late today... :(
Black and White is wanted at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown this week!

I designed two really very simple cards for this...

For the first card I stamped the snowflakes and the sentiment several times with Cloud White on a black cardstock. Before I stuck the black panel on the white card, I tied a ribbon with a nice knot between the sentiment and the snowflakes.

With the second card I did the opposite. I masked the border of the white cardstock and stamped small trees and stars in black. I framed the stamped area with a black marker and glued then the panel onto a white card whose edges I had previously coloured black. I stamped the sentiment on two small labels, stapled them together and stuck them on the card with foam pads.

Christmas is coming soon!
Enjoy playing with us every week, so you'll have all your cards by the end of the year! ;)

Have Fun!!

DotMCC - Challenge #7 - Reminder

Hello everyone!
Just a little reminder on our current Read a Book challenge at Day of the Month Card Club!

Cats like quiet places! What could be better than spreading out on a pile of books to have good dreams!

I used a cat and mouse from Katzelkraft's stamp set "Les chats russes".
If you know them, you probably noticed that the cat has closed eyes, while on the stamp it has an open eye. I masked the open eye with a piece of tape before I inked the stamp and so it got two closed eyes! I stamped the cat, drew the books under it by hand, then stamped the mousse and fussy cut them all. I colored with alcohol markers.
I inked the lower part of the blue background directly with a black ink pad and then embossed the upper part with stars, which I surrounded with a white gel pen. I die-cut the letters out of white foam, glued everything onto the blue panel and then glued it onto a white card.

Besides reading, I hope you also have some time to play along with us 😉

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!

How about a good book?

Hello everyone!
First a big thank you for all the healthy herbes you shared with us during the previous challenge! 🌿🎍🍃 ...you really came up with great ideas!!

And now, welcome to our 7th Day of the Month Card Club challenge.

Our new theme is:

Read a Book Day
celebrated on 6th September

Dive into another world, fantasy to make our everyday life more exciting, enjoy a moment of peace, expand your vocabulary or develop better writing skills - all this is possible with books!

The books are hand-drawn and fussy cut. The stamp for the strip underneath is from Craft Sensations. The cactus and the sentiment are from Scrap Plaisir. I colored with alcohol markers, embossed a narrow part of the left edge and placed a thin black strip next to the books.
The sentiment says: Switch off, have a good coffee, listen to music & read a good book

I hope you have some time between two books to join in,
because...

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate! 😉

Christmas in the heart...

Hello everyone!
A new challenge starts at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown - this week we have a sketch for you!

I turned the sketch two or three times and finally decided on the basic view.
The idea with the stockings emerged while turning the sketch, from then on everything was clear!
...had a few doubts with the sentiment but finally I thought that this one fits well!

Hope you like it

Have fun with our new sketch!

In the storm...

Hello everyone!
Sorry, I'm a little late! I totally omitted to post the reminder for our current challenge at the Dream Factory! - our movie theme this month is White Squall

I chose a lighthouse....

Today there are modern sonars on which sailors can see the dangers of the depth far in advance, but in earlier times many ships would have been lost on the coasts without lighthouses!
The background is a failed attempt with alcohol inks on torn photo paper. It has been waiting for a second chance for a few months now - today was its big day, I could put it on this card and behold, it fits like a glove!

You still have two weeks to play! - Have fun!
