Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day :)) ...today with flowers
I stamped the lilies of the valley and masked them to create the background.
To do this, I scribbled on a piece of acetate with a light blue aqua marker and sprayed it with water.
I applied the color in places and repeated the process until I liked it. I splattered the whole thing again with the same color, took off the mask and stamped the quote. Colored the bouquet with Alcohol ink markers.
I cut the card to size, brushed the edges with green ink and pasted it on a blank card.
Soon it will be May 1st.
In France, this day is known as the “Fête du Muguet” which means “Lily of the valley day”.
The tradition of giving lilies of the valley to loved ones on this day dates back to 1561, when King Charles IX offered the flowers to the women of his court. The flowers are a symbol of good luck and happiness for the coming year.
Hope you like it :)) - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! :)
