Katzelkraft - Alles Gute zum Geburtstag

Hi everyone! 

I am back with a new Katzelkraft creation. Today it turned out to be a birthday card. 

The background pattern is the negative print of a stencil. I always make these when I use stencils so nothing gets lost.

I stamped the flower and the little mouse on the card. Stamped both again on bristol paper and colored the mouse with alcohol markers. For the flower, I just colored the pot and the first squiggle. Cut out the pot and mouse and glued them to the card. Then colored the flower on the card. Put shadows under the mouse and splattered some black ink on the card. I heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, cut it in half and adhered it. As a final touch, I stamped a few stars under the mouse.

Hi everyone!

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

This week we want you to use these colors:

Blue  &  White

To create the background, I used an old credit card to apply blue acrylic paint to bristol paper and used a wooden stick to add texture to the paint while it was still wet. After drying, I punched out the stars. Die cut the little village out of regular paper and glued the pieces to a blank card. Stamped the sentiment. Done!

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating 

Christmas Card Day

Every year around this time, friends and families start sending out their Christmas cards. Christmas Card Day is a reminder to get stamps, envelopes and cards to share Christmas joy.

I make at least one Christmas card a week, so by the end of the year I have them all ready and just have to write them. 

This one was quite easy to make. 

I masked off a part of the card with masking tape. Sponged the left blank part with lime green ink and then stamped holly on it. Removed the masking tape and repeated the process another time for the narrow red stripe. 

I stamped the mug and colored it with alcohol markers. I die cut the image and backed it with another circle I die cut from red Glitter cardstock. Adhered this to the card and stamped the sentiment next to it.

Katzelkraft - You talkin' to me?

Hi everyone!

No card today, but an ATC. For my weekly Katzelkraft project, I chose one of the cute dogs from the Dainius collection. 

Isn't he a sweetie?

I took a leftover gel print from my stash and cut it to size. Stamped a small background pattern in the upper left corner and then sponged the edges with Peacock Feathers (Distress Oxide). 

I stamped the dog on the ATC. Stamped it again on Bristol paper, colored it with watercolors, cut it out and added it to the ATC. I heat embossed the sentiment, added it as well and finally backed the ATC with black cardstock.

Pink Christmas

Hi everyone!

Let's go for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

As usual, we'll start the month with a sketch. (See below)

I sponged a small rectangle with Picked Raspberry (Distress Oxide). Made a few splatters and stamped some snowflakes with the same ink. I added two strings to the card, then adhered the rectangle and bordered it with a black pattern. 

I stamped the bird on Bristol paper, colored it with alcohol markers, cut it out and added it to the card. Stamped a part of the sentiment on a die cut circle and attached it with foam pads. The other part is stamped next to the bird.

Special Delivery from Santa

Hi everyone!

We are entering the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge and I want to remind you that this month is all about Santa and Christmas....

The Santa Clause

I stamped the Santa, masked him and lightly sponged the part behind him. Removed the mask and colored the image with alcohol markers. Spritzed some blue and white for the snow and added the sentiment. Hope you like it.

Katzelkraft - It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Hi everyone!

Today is Katzelkraft day and Christmas card production is in full swing....

My card features one of the fun mice stamps from the recent Dainius collection. The Christmas tree and the sentiment are from the latest Christmas stamp collection.

I stamped the Christmas tree on a acrylic painted background and embellished it with pearl pen dots. I also added a few strokes of green and a garland. I stamped the mouse on bristol paper, colored it with alcohol markers, cut it out and glued it next to the tree. Dotted on a little snow with a white Poska pen. Added the sentiment.

The Santa hat the mouse is holding is an older Katzelkraft stamp.

I sponged some of the background with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers and then applied the musical notes using a stencil and Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire. Stamped the singing mouse, colored it with alcohol markers and added white dots and stars to its clothes. 

Finally, I stamped "Merry Christmas" and "Fa La La" and added some shadow and glitter under the mouse's feet.
