Gingerbread Baking Co

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club
This month we are celebrating

 National Gingerbread Cookie Day
...and we want to see lots of them on your cards and crafts.

Gingerbread is one of my favorite cookies.
I love the smell of spices and honey that fills the house while baking,
....and when I see everything Santa has already baked, my mouth waters.

I recently bought a pad of pre-cut images. Actually, I'm not really the vintage type, but the illustrations were so beautiful that I couldn't resist. And because they are so beautiful, I printed out copies and then fussy cut them. That way I keep the originals intact.
I glued the images, cut out of different sheets, onto a background taken from another pad. - So no stamps were used this time.

Happy backing ;)

Katzelkraft - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hi everyone!
I'm back with Katzelkraft Christmas card number two.
The brand has released new stamps a few months ago. I used two from the Maryse Carrier collection and combined them with a few older stamps from Katzelkraft.

I only used the animals from the Maryse Carrier stamps.
The Christmas tree and the floor are stamped on directly, everything else is cut out and glued on.
I colored with alcohol ink markers and glitter pens (Christmas balls). The sentiment is heat embossed. The top of the tree is adorned by a star (sticker).

Hope you like this little Christmas scene. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! ;)

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I wanted to give you a quick reminder on our movie

Hotel Transylvania
It's an Anything Goes Halloween Challenge
There are two more weeks left! - Maybe you still have a card or two you'd like to share...

It could have been a single layer card, but I wasn't sure how I wanted to place things,
so I decided to go for cutting and sticking.

For the pink pumpkin, I first scribbled on paper with alcohol markers, then stamped it on and cut it out. For the other two pumpkins, I used aqua markers to stamp them and then cut them out too. The green one got a few black lines and a spider. The ghost I have drawn myself.
I splattered different colors on a sheet of Bristol and stamped two bats. Glued on the pumpkins and the ghost. Stamped the sentiment with single letter stamps. Finally, I stamped the borders of a blank card with a background pattern. Cut the card with the pumpkins slightly smaller than the blank card and glued it onto the latter.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - RELAX...

Hi everyone!
Today is Katzelkraft day.
Used some older Katzelkraft stamps and the mouse from the Big and Nimble stamp, which is from the last release.

My card was inspired by the book "The Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson - the current Once Upon a Time challenge.

First I stamped the mouse and the little monster. I masked them and sponged the background with Prize Ribbon, Salty Ocean, Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide). Splashed some water on it and soaked it up immediately with a paper towel. I stamped the tree silhouettes and removed the masks.
I colored the animals with alcohol ink markers - used white gel pen for the teeth and the scratches on the trees. Stamped the sentiment onto white paper, cut it to size and stuck it on. Added washi tape to the bottom edge and colored it with alcohol ink markers.

Hope you like this little scene. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! ;)

Katzelkraft - All I want for Christmas

Hi everyone!
Today is Katzelkraft day.
Here's my very first Christmas card of the year :))

The young lad holding the Christmas tree is called Smirkle - he's such a nice guy!
He's one of the characters in the Daniel Torrente collection from Stampotique by Katzelkraft.

I sponged the background with Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide), then stamped some snowflakes and stenciled on some swirls and hearts.
I colored Smirkle with alcohol ink markers and the balls in the tree with glitter pens. I added a strip of washi tape under the boy's feet. I made up the sentence using letters and words from various sayings/quotes.

Hope you like this sweet little boy. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! ;)
