Just For You

Hello everyone!

We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

The Beauty and the Beast
... I was inspired by the rose.

Wow, very strong colors today!! - a bit unusual for me, but it was sooo cool to do it!

To do the background, I tried to create a kind of twilight that is diffused through stained-glass.
I colored the background with a light blue felt-tip pen and I ended by sponging the edges with "Deep Lagoon" 'Versafine) and "Lightening Black" (Dew Drop Tsukineko)
The rose is also colored with felt-tip pens.

Products I used: (Sorry, I forgot the stamp for the sentiment - it says "just for you" and is from Stampin'Up) - I don't know the manufacturer from the rose stamp, it was a gift.

A little something....

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to show you what I did for my sweetheart on Valentine's Day!

Very small but ..... it had its effect!!

..... especially when you open it!
(Please click on photos to enlarge)

Super easy to do and looks very chic!

It is quite by chance that I found the instructions for this beautiful little box at Stempeleinmaleins - a real gold mine regarding tutorials - with German and English instructions! --- I really should go there more often!!

After making my box, I wrapped it with a stripe of paper that I made as follows:
I dabbed the paper stripe with "Blushing Bride" (Stampin'Up) and added tiny hearts with a stencil and modeling paste - which dryed very quickly!
I added ribbon, linen thread, a label for the "pour toi" (for you), a die-cut leaf and a heart sticker. - I really like how it looks!

Products used: (The stamps inside the box are from Stampin'Up).

Happy Valentine!

Hello everybody!
Actually, I do not write Valentine's cards to anyone, but this time I made an exception! ;-)

I took the cute little Penny Black puppy and colored him in light gray - added also some green and pink for the rose.
I stamped the pink pannel with my rotary stamp and Versamark.
For the sentiment I used different stamps from Stampin'Up. - *Valentine's* is stamped with the rotary stamp.
Then I stuck all that together and added two enamel dots for the fun! Voilà!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! - I hope you can enjoy this day with your loved ones!

'Tis The Season

Hello everyone!  I'm back with a nice guy!

After coloring the images, I fussy cut them out and stuck them on the small pannel - the false seam is made with my newest weapon! LOL
As you've surely noticed, I made some changes to Santa Claus.
I cut the gift packs off and gave him a cup of tea instead - the presents are now next to the Santa.
I planted two firs behind the Santa and scattered some stars in the sky.
At last I glued the small panel on my card base and stamped the sentiment.

Items i used.

In the middle of the second photo you can see the tool I used to make the false seam. Normally it is used for sewing but as the dies are very expensive, I wanted to test this (4 $) thing first - and it works pretty well! .... and if one day I am richer, I will buy dies!  :-)

Happy Birthday

...to someone very close to my heart!

Hi everybody! For today's card, I used one of my Katzelkraft birds.
I colored with felt pens and some water - just like the die-cut balloons.
After drying I fussy-cut the bird and gave him googly eyes.

I cut a white cardstock panel in a little smaller size than my card base and stamped numbers at the bottom. Then I die-cut each character of the "JOYEUX" 4 times and paste them together (I just love do this). I stamped the "anniversaire" and pasted the "JOYEUX".
I fixed the bird and the balloons with foam pads, attached a thread at each balloon and put them in the bird's beak.
...and the last thing was to glue the whole panel to the card base.

Items I used to create my card: (the heart dies are from Poppy Stamps)

Thanks for stopping by.

Toadily Happy

Hello everybody!

Do you like frogs?
I can handle it, but I like them much more on paper! ;)

I need to recharge my congratulation cards and this one was very quickly done!

Fold a white base card and cut the top sheet transversely.
Cut a piece of colored paper, emboss it and stick under the cut off part of the card.
Stamp and color the image. (I mostly do my coloring with ordinary felt-tip pens and water)!
Die-cut a word 3 or 4 times, glue them together and stick to the card. Finished!

The items I used! - Die is from StampinUp

House of Cards - February Challenge

Hi everyone!

February is the month of Love, so let's go for a Love theme at House of Cards!
We have a wonderful inspiration photo - (please see below).

I was inspired by the image and the colors!

Can you believe that these hearts are made with hot glue!

It is already the second time that I use this technique and I am every time fascinated by the result!
I started to put hearts on a piece of white paper with a hot-glue gun.
After that, I heated the hearts with my heat gun, added white embossing powder, heated it to the melting point and repeated the whole once more. As soon as the hearts were cold, I wet the paper with a brush and water and added pink watercolor - and as long as the paint was wet, I added a large drop of silver pigment ink (IZINK) and let it fuse with the pink!
After drying, I mounted the colored panel with foam pads to a bigger white panel and then to my card base!
The sentiment is stamped with Onyx Black (Versafine) and Melon Mambo (StampinUp)
It says something like:
 I LOVE YOU
a bit, very much,
passionately....

Are you curious how I've discovered this technique?
Take a peek to my first attempt, here you will also find a link to a video that explains everything best!

Here a closer look to the silver effect - these shiny things are very hard to catch!

....and this is our
Love Theme and/or Colors

Have fun!
