A small gift...

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

Sweet Little Things
The French movie with the original title “Les petites victoires”
is about the small victories in life.

We say:
"Anything small-sized will do"

Small animals, small objects, small card sizes, small homemade gifts, etc.

We were recently invited to dinner at a friend's house.
As a small gift and thank you, I made this paper lamp.

It consists of many narrow strips that are glued slightly overlapping onto an open, round base.
At the top, the strips are simply laid on top of each other one by one and then twisted. It holds together on its own, but you can add a little hot glue to the opening to be on the safe side.

Place the lamp over an LED tea light and the magic happens...

For this lamp, I punched stars out of some of the strips and decorated the twisted area with die-cut leaves and a cord.
I don't want to praise myself, but the hostess was absolutely delighted! Hope you like it too :)

If you are interested, you can find detailed instructions for a larger paper lantern here.
....mine only has a diameter of about 6 cm.

Friendship

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
This month we picked another great French movie:

Les Intouchables
The Intouchables

The next 4 weeks are all about Friendship

I stamped the girls (Carabelle Studio) on Bristol paper and colored them with alcohol ink markers.
I masked the girls to create the background (Distress Oxide). Before I removed the masks, I stamped on some grass (Katzelkraft) and a little dog (Catsonappletrees).
The sentiment on the die-cut speech bubble is from Yixuan.

Have Fun!

Gifts from Santa Claus

Hi everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
As usual in the first week of the month we have a sketch for you. (see below)

Christmas is getting closer and closer and in a few weeks we will be sending out the first cards!!! Hopefully your pile of Christmas cards is already well grown! - If you're still missing some, there's a new 52CCT challenge every Saturday to inspire you ;)

For this week's card, I slightly spongeded a beige cardstock panel with white ink. Stamped the ladder and embossed the panel.  I stamped the Santa Claus on Bristol paper and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out and put it on the ladder. To suggest a little snow I added some black and white accents to the birch trees. I finished off by placing a little heart (sticker) in Santa's hand.

Santa's List Day - DotMCC Challenge #22

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating

Santa's List Day
December 4th

Santa's List Day is the day each year when Santa makes his list of children that have been naughty or nice, so he knows what to bring them for Christmas. Santa learns who has been naughty or nice after hearing from his elves. They visit people's houses from just after Thanksgiving, until Christmas Eve, and report back to Santa each night about who has been naughty or nice.

Presents or coal?
What do you think you’ll find under your Christmas tree in 2020?

Apparently you've been nice, because it says on my card that you're on Santa's good list! 😉

I stenciled thick blue snowflakes on the background. Then I stamped Santa and the gifts on cardstock, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out fussy. Actually, the presents were stacked, but I didn't like it that way, so I cut them into individual packages and stuck them next to Santa.
Santa's list is hand drawn. The sentiment was found on Pinterest.

Hope you will all be on Santa's nice list!!
Have Fun!

Gifts from Santa...

Hello everyone!
A new challenge starts today at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown - our theme is: Gifts

Today I did a relatively simple card. The background is made with Distress Oxide and white ink splashes. With the help of a torn paper and Distres Oxide Ink I applied some snowdrifts to the lower part of the card.
I colored Santa Claus and the firs, cut them fussy and glued them on the card. The sentiment is from LoraByLora.
Et voilà! - It was really easy-peasy!

Have fun!

A Special Day...

Hello everyone!
Today I have a little birthday card that has been waiting for so long to be shown!

The flower is punched from a piece of paper colored with Brushos. I inserted the cut pieces so that the flower doesn't look too empty. I glued it onto a piece of torn paper and stamped the sentiment. I stuck this on a panel embossed to a third and glued this to the base card.

The card was accompanied by a few small surprise packs, full of useful things for our favourite hobby and to relax! ....and my lavender was still beautiful enough to make and add a few lavender spindles...

Houseleek

Hello everyone!
Last weekend we were invited to dinner with friends. Coming empty-handed is unthinkable for me.....

...I brought this little pot of houseleek plants and a plum crumble cake - of course everything homemade!
Such a pot needs its time but when it is ready the joy is great! On the one hand they look amazingly real and on the other hand they don't need any care! My girlfriend was very happy about it.
I made them with dies and stamps from the set "Succulent Garden" by Stampin'Up.
Here are some more pots I made a long time ago.

Advent Advent

Hello everyone!
We are already counting the days until Christmas and so that time does not seem that long, there are advent calendars. Here is the one I made for a dear friend this year.

I found a beautiful Advent calendar with a tutorial at Paula Pünktchen's blog.
I followed her tutorial, but didn't use toilet paper rolls. All my pockets are made of strong, white printing paper and covered with silver and colorful wrapping paper. Instead of silk paper I used a large ribbon to fix the skewers to the compartments. The numbers were printed on self-adhesive printing paper and punched.

....and as it should be for an Advent calendar, each compartment is filled with a little surprise.

I got this from my dear friend Gundi! - I think she's a little crazy, right? ....but I like it a lot!😉

Thanks for stopping by!

Before the year ends

....I'll show you my last Christmas cards and some other creations I made, but which was not allowed to show before Christmas. 😉

Hello everyone!
Today and the coming days I'll show you my last creation from this year.

I made this cactus for my cousin's daughter. I do not know her personally, but we got to know each other through our blogs. During the year I launched an invitation on Facebook, which was to comment my post and then post it on its own profile. - She was one of the party and therefore got a little something from me as promised!

On this cactus you can easily stow pins, whether it is next to the sewing box or on the windowsill - he looks great in any case!

Oh, I almost forgot,
The cactus is knitted, the stones are made of felt and the pot is made of cardboard and decorated with washi tape. .......... the "flesh" of the cactus is made of polystyrene.

Hope you like it....
because tomorrow I'll show you another one! 😊
