Je voudrais un bonhomme de neige

Translation: I would like a snowman

Hello everyone!
It's saturday and I want to introduce you to the our new challenge at 52CCT.
This week we want to see Non-Traditional Colors on your cards.

First I made a background with a stencil and Distress Oxide inks. Then I stamped the snowman with its little one, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out.
I put the snowman on the background but I didn't like it at all. - Too much color!!
Then I thought if I cut it into strips, it might be better...
...but I didn't cut it up, I tore it up! It looked better right away, and now I like it a lot.
I glued the strips on white cardstock, shifting them a little bit. - The herringbone pattern reminds me of firs.
I stamped the snowman on the spot and then glued the pieces of the first one on it. Originally the sentiment was just black lines, but it seemed too empty to me. So I filled the inside of the letters with black, and I like that much better now! I cut the sentence into individual words and stuck them on the card. Done!

Now it's your turn! Have fun!
