Hello everyone!
Time flies and we are already back to Tuesday! That means I have a new Katzelkraft creation to show.
I combined my weekly creation with a card swap whose theme is carnival, so the big fat rat from the "Les Dodus" set comes dressed up....
It was quite a lot of work, because I made this card 10 times!!!
First, I created the sentiment on the computer and printed it out on the still blank cards.
Literally translated it means: Behind my wolf I do what I want....
However, in this case wolf means a masquerade mask.
It is taken from the song "Le bal masqué" by Compagnie créole - a French group (Antillean-Guyanese), which was popular especially in the 1980s and passed on to posterity through the French-speaking world.
It's a very catchy song and even if you don't understand French, you'll definitely want to hum along with the chorus of the song. Just listen to it and get caught up in its good vibes.... Click
I stenciled all the backgrounds with Distress Oxide and then stamped the rat and confetti and colored everything with alcohol markers.
Then came the fussy part!
I drew the mask and jester's hat on parchment paper, copied them 10 times on regular paper using tracing paper, colored everything with alcohol markers, and then cut out all the pieces with scissors. Phew!!!
Before gluing everything onto the cards I made little white dots on the masks.
Lastly, I opened a slit at the left hand of the rat and attached a thin black strip between his hand and the mask.
It was a lot of work, but I am very happy with the result!!!
Hope you like it too! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration!
