Hello everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we want to see
Perfect Pearls
on your cards
...and you have two weeks to play!
Unfortunately, I do not own Perfect Pearls so I used Shiny Metallic Water Color Paints for this.
Basically it is almost the same but can I use these with water only. (photo below)
I dissolved the silver paint with a little water to make a very thick liquid, then applied it to the stamp with a small sponge and stamped fir by fir on the pink cardstock to create the background.
From the front view, you might think it's light gray,
...but as soon as you move the card even a little bit, you see how great it shimmers.
I cut out the dark red embossed deer and backed it with a circle of embossed light green vellum and a strip of design paper. I had to emboss the sentiment as well because you can't stamp over the shimmery pigments very well. They otherwise shine through!
Finally, I trimmed the panel, backed it with black cardstock and glued it on the blank card.
Shiny Metallic Water Color Paints - I used the silver one.
