You are unbeatable

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

Anything Goes w: optional twist: "Play Time"
(create something featuring FUN)

My husband and I love playing tennis.
So I made him a birthday card where we’re playing tennis together. Lol :))

The card was super simple to do!
I stamped the mice and then colored them using just a few colors.
I set up the net and put some grass under the mice’s paws.
After that, I added some color in the background, glued on some clouds, then cut out the scene with a die.
First, I glued the cutout onto a slightly larger dark background, then onto patterned paper, and finally onto a blank card. Added the strip with the sentiment—and that's it!
The sentiment says: You are unbeatable

...and you, what kind of sports do you do?

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

GAME, SET, MATCH

Hello everyone!
A friend and member of our tennis team celebrates his 70th birthday tomorrow...
He's a huge tennis fan and he plays on the same team as my husband. So what could be more appropriate than a card, showing a tennis court!

I split the card in half with masking tape and I also cut a disc out of the masking tape, to protect the area of the yellow ball. I sponged one side with several shades of green, and the other side with orange. Sprinkled the card with water and immediately soaked it up with a paper towel. I removed the masking tape from the ball and colored it with yellow aquamarkers, leaving the white lines without color.
I masked the outlines of the shadow area and then I sponged the inner surface with brown and grey ink. - I did not want black, the contrast would have been too strong. I removed the masking tape so that the white tape came out - and I thought the result was great!
Stamped the letters for the sentiment, cut them fussy and pasted them on the card.

I also made an envelope to match the card. - The background is sponged with green ink and everything is hand-drawn, except for the grid behind the racket.

Wrote a little quote on the inside of the card:
All men are born equal, but the best are tennis players.

I think he'll like it.

DotMCC - Challenge #8 - Reminder

Hello everyone!
Just a little reminder on our current World Card Making challenge at Day of the Month Card Club!
This time only cards are allowed!

I made a card for a football fan.
The football is a punched and embossed disc, colored with black felt-tip pen. The sneakers are from Stampin' Up, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut with scissors. In the background there is a grid which indicates the goal net. The lawn is made with distress ink. To do that, I pressed the stamp pad several times on a piece of acetate and then transfered it onto the panel. I sprayed water on the remaining color and pressed it once more onto the panel - Love how it turned out!
The saying is handwritten and enriched with three stamped labels. It says: Goals are not attained by strength but by perseverance

...last weekend we did a card swap on the theme of sport in our girls' workshop - so I made seven more cards!

....hope you have some time to play with us 😉

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!
