Hi everyone!

No work on the design teams today. I just felt like making something for myself!

ATC's mit Herz are all about rainbow colors. I got carried away and made this cute little card.

The background is from my stash - (negative pattern of a stencil with tiny hearts) 

The sun and the rainbow are also made with stencils, but I cut out the rainbow and glued it on - please don't ask me why. The little girl is also cut out and added. I colored her with alcohol ink markers. 

All other images I stamped directly onto the ATC. The first part of the sentiment, I stamped on a cut out cloud, so that it comes to better advantage. The sentiment says: After the rain comes the sunshine.

Katzelkraft - Chinese New Year

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project. Today, with a Chinese touch.

Chinese astrology, also called "Shengxiao" is divided into cycles of twelve years. Each year is represented by an animal and an element. This year's animal is the water rabbit, an animal that is supposed to bring peace and harmony. 

Let's hope so!

I sponged the left part with Wild Honey, stenciled lanterns with Barn Door and stamped some more lanterns in black.

The Trinity 福 - Fú - Luck, 禄 - Lù - Prosperity, 寿 - Shòu - Longevity, I wrote by hand.

I stamped, watercolored and fussy cut the fun rabbit from the Dainius collection and added it. 

Scribbled some shadows under the rabbit and stamped/embossed a tiny Happy new year from SU.

Hi everyone!

We are entering the second half of our current challenge at the Dream Factory. 

Our Movie is: Squared Love 

This month we are inspired by the theme of Valentine's Day. 

Today it's very girly, as you can see. 

I like pink a lot, but I'm not as pink as the tag might suggest! Hahaha 

It's just because I wanted to take on Isa's challenge: 

Monochrome - only one color, no white, no black!

I sponged, stenciled, stamped, heat embossed,

added die cuts and glitter cardstock,

applied gel pens to highlight....

.....used water and bleach to lighten some spots, 

and lastly tied a wool thread to the tag.

The quirky animals are from Katzelkraft.

It honestly wasn't easy working with just one color, 

but I think it's worth looking at. What do you think?

Hi everyone!

Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. 

This week we want you to use this technique: 

Paper Piecing

If you don't know the technique yet, this video will be very helpful.

I stamped the fox, the wagon (AALL&Create) and the fir tree (Katzelkraft) on my card. Then I stamped the fox and wagon on patterned paper scraps, fussy cut them out and adhered them to the already stamped images on the card. Only the bottom part of the face and the boots of the fox were colored. I masked the images, splattered blue Distress ink on the card and added the rest of the ink under the wagon and fox.  

Finally, I added the sentiment (Katzelkraft) and backed the card with patterned paper.

This is a cool technique if you're a little unsure of colors like me. Just stamp, cut and see what matches ;) 

...and of course also a good way to get rid of snippets!

Katzelkraft - Don't be afraid...

Hi everyone!

Today is Katzelkraft day and I was again seduced by a small format called ATC.

I used the beautiful set "Metamorphosis" from last summer's issue, designed by Isa.

In my gel print stash I found a matching piece for the background. I say matching because the finished project was to include acrylic paint, the colors yellow, red, black and insects. 

I stamped the butterflies/insects directly onto the ATC. Stamped the sentiment on bristol paper, cut it into pieces and added it. Stamped two more words in red and a background design in black. I sponged the edges of the ATC with Barn Door (Distress ink) and then backed it with black cardstock.

Fairy Lights on Winter Nights

Hi everyone!

Sorry, I wasn't feeling very well the last few days, so I'm just posting today for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge that started yesterday. This week's theme is

FAIRIES

How lucky that the image was already printed. All I had to do was cut it to size and make it nice. 

I colored the little girl with alcohol ink markers and stenciled big snowflakes all around. 

To make her a real fairy, I cut wings out of glitter paper and glued them to her back. 

Finally, I added some snow to the ground (Alcohol ink marker and Wink of Stella) and stamped the sentiment.

Katzelkraft - All is calm all is bright

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project. This time with a snowy little winter scene.

Winter is not over yet and after a few days of spring-like weather it is now getting much colder again.

I lightly sponged the top half of the background with Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide) and then stamped all the images. I masked the log cabin to put the fir trees behind it. Firs and branches are stamped with Tranquil Tide (SU) and Rustic Wilderness (Distress Oxide). For the fence and pine cones I used Early Espresso (SU). The cabin I colored with watercolors. The snow on the fence, the firs and next to the cabin is made with Gesso.

I cheated a bit with the sentiment. Since it was a little too big to fit the scene, I scaled it down on the computer and then added it to the card.
