Katzelkraft - The purr-fect crime?

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft card! ...showing two more new stamps! :))

I had actually made this background for another card, but in the end I didn't like it at all, at least not for the card it was intended for. For today's card, however, I thought it was super cool! It's a bit dark, but let's assume the little detective is investigating the crime scene at night.

I first painted the black background with gesso, leaving the edges blank.
After the gesso was dry, I placed a small amount of dark blue and yellow acrylic paints on the card. I spread these over the card with the help of an old credit card. On the still wet yellow stripe, I put a little bit of red paint and mixed it with the yellow to get the orange. I let everything dry well and then added splotches of red, white and black paint. - Let it dry again.

I stamped the VespaVespa once on the card and once on Bristol paper. Colored it with alcohol ink markers, cut it out and glued it to the card.
For the detective, on the other hand, I used the paper piecing technique. I stamped the hat and coat on Design paper, the cat on Kraft paper and the shirt on Bristol paper. I then cut everything out and glued the parts back together. Lightened the face, paws and tail with a white pastel crayon. Colored the tie with red. Stamped the detectiv onto the card and added the one I'd paper pieced.
Finally, I added the sentiment which is part of the detective stamp and made a couple of white gel pen lines on the Vespa.

It sounds like a complicated card, but it's not!

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Just For You

Hi everyone!
Time for a quick reminder about our current challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club
We're celebrating

Vappu
Anything Goes with the theme of Spring!

I was actually thinking of poppies, but I used more yellow than black for the stamens. So it's a new variety of poppy.
After I had stencilled the background and the flowers, I stamped a background text and numbers (AALL&Create). I made some black ink splatters and then added the sentiment (Katzelkraft).
The tiny sentences along the flower stems are handwritten.

Happy Spring!

Pets

Hi everyone!
Let's go for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie for this month is...

Pets

From cats and dogs to mice and snakes,
the next 4 weeks are all about our beloved pets!

I made this ATC with one of the brand new stamps from Katzelkraft
The background is a leftover piece I found in my stash. I tore off a small piece on one side, backed the larger piece with kraft paper and then stamped the image onto the ATC.
I stamped the cat again on a yellow patterned paper and the hen on a red one. I cut these out and stuck them over the already stamped image. Finally, I added some flowers at the bottom - also die-cut from patterned paper and highlighted with alcohol ink markers.

Have Fun!

Katzelkraft - Never ride faster than...

Hi everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project :))

Needed a birthday card for a young guy who will soon be switching to a more powerful bike - this motorcycle from the new Katzelkraft release was just perfect for!

I kept the card very simple. For the background, I applied gray acrylic paint to the card and used an old credit card to spread it over the card. I then stamped the motorcycle. I only colored the gas tank and the fender of the bike and kept everything else in shades of gray.
The splatters around the motorcycle are part of the stamp - I added the smaller ones above.
I stamped the quote (found on Pinterest) with single letter stamps, cut it into labels and stuck them on.
Finally, I scrawled shadows under the bike.
I also embossed the left edge of the card before gluing it to a blank card. It looks like a tire pattern and I really like that.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Katzelkraft - One Brave Thing

Hi everyone,
It's Katzelkraft day! :)

The dog wanted to play a trick on the rat and now he has to run like hell. Ha ha ha

I hope you like the funny scene I created with the "You are Purrfect" set from the Dainius collection and the "City Rats". I used watercolors and alcohol ink markers for coloring. I spread washi tape shreds on the ground but you can hardly see them because I colored them with Distress Oxide inks. The sentence I stamped with single letter stamps.

Hello Spring

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club
This month we are celebrating

 Vappu
Vappu is celebrated annually on May 1st and marks the end of winter for the Finnish people. It is also celebrated as International Labour Day and is one of the biggest festivals of the year in Finland alongside Midsummer's Day and Christmas.

We say:
Anything Goes with the theme of Spring!
.

I moistened watercolor paper and stamped flowers, foliage and two bees on it. I only used aqua markers - no black. After the colors had spread on the damp paper and the paper had dried, I stamped the same flowers in the same places, varying the intensity of the colors.
I then cut the panel to size and punched a border at the bottom. Backed it with blue paper, glued it to an embossed background and then to a blank card.
Finally, I die cut the "Hello" and the letters for the word "Spring" and added them to the card.

Have Fun! ;)

We Travel...

Hi everyone!
I have the great honor to be a Guest Designer at the Male Room this month.
The theme is: "Planes, Trains and Automobiles"

Of course, I immediately thought of the new stamps from Katzelkraft for this challenge!

I love creating little scenes, so I combined the Citroën 2CV with the house from the Seaside set (also Katzelkraft). As you can see, it works quite well.
Both images I colored first with watercolors and then highlighted the shadow areas with alcohol markers. I cut them out and glued them onto a background, which was made with Distress Oxides.
I stamped the quote (Kaisercraft) and cut it into labels, otherwise it wouldn't have fit in terms of size. Glued on the single words and outlined them with a black fineliner.

Hope you like it. Perhaps you will find time to take up the challenge...
See you soon!
