Hello everyone!
As if I'd foreseen...! The two cards I made last week with my brand new stamps from Katzelkraft fit perfectly with Twofer's new challenge: Spring Animals

I used the "La ferme des animaux" stamp set from Katzelkraft for my cards.

   

The first card is a birthday card for my niece's daughter. She has already received it and was very happy about it! ...no wonder, she grew up in the country like me and loves animals! 

I made a mask of each animal, so that I had it ready to hand! After the animals had found their place, I coloured the whole card with alcohol markers. I stamped the sentiment and glued the panel on a card base. Actually it was quite easy to do!

The second one is an Easter card and on this one there is also the rabbit, for which there was no more room on the first card. - He looks a bit goofy on his big egg! Haha

I used some masks here as well, but I only colored the animals with alcohol markers. 

The ground and the sky are watercoloured. I stamped two sentiments, the tiny one is right under the goose's feet.

 On my card Spot the dog sits in front of the fire hydrant, waiting for his master. 

After stamping, I masked the dog and the hydrant and then stenciled the background with Distress Oxide ink. 

I colored the images with watercolor markers and added a narrow strip of washi tape to the left of the card - the tennis ball is handmade. The sentiment is also from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.

Froggy Christmas...

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52CCT day and I'm here today with our new challenge.
This week we play with a sketch.

I got some new stamps this week, and I couldn't resist using one for this challenge...

I've wanted those frogs (Katzelkraft) for a long time, and finally they arrived - and not just them!

...but shhh, I'll show you that some other day! 

I started by cutting out a star, to make a stencil. I used this stencil and another one with holes to mark the star on the card. I drew all lines with a thin black marker - some lines with a grey alcohol marker to indicate shadows and to give depth. I sponged the inside of the star with Distress inks and added a few splashes of white ink, still using the stencil. Then I used the cut-out star as a mask and added some black splashes.  

Now comes the frog! 

I stamped it, colored it with alcohol markers, fussy-cut it and slightly embossed it's belly, under which I then glued some adhesive foam, to keep the bulge. I also stamped some accessories, such as Santa's hat, candy cane and fir tree - and yes, the frog's eyes as well, because I didn't like his! I added some Wink of Stella to the frog and glued it, as well as the accessories onto the card. I stamped the word "toadily" along the edge of the star and wrote the rest by hand, trying to make it look as close as possible.

I heat-embossed the word Christmas on a black strip and glued it under the frog. Then I glued a narrow strip of washi tape on the edge of a card base, stuck the card with the frog next to it and cut off everything that was sticking out. As a final touch I added three enamel dots.

Hello everyone!
We are at the end of the month and it's time for a little reminder on our current challenge at the Dream Factory.
This month's movie is...

Casanova

Mardi Gras, Carnival, Venice, Love, Vintage etc.

I made two cards. 

Since I couldn't decide which one to pick, I'll show you both!

I found this scene on the Internet. I drew the picture by hand on a piece of watercolor paper and painted it with felt-tip pens and water brush pen. I used black cardstock and Cloud White ink for the sentiment, cut it into tiny labels and pasted them on the image. Finally I mounted the image, which I backed with black cardstock, on a white card base. 

The background for the second card also comes from the internet - we don't necessarily have a stamp for every theme - right?!!! 

This time I copied the image from the PC using tracing paper and pencil - it didn't have to be very detailed! 

Before transferring the image to the card, I stamped the young lady and masked her. 

The dog also comes from the net. :) I could have used a digi-stamp, but I didn't feel like it!

Except for the sky, I colored everything with alcohol markers - I have a pretty good range of colors now! ;)  

 ...the sky is colored using a water brush pen and light blue felt-tip.

I stamped the sentiment, cut the image to size, backed it with black cardstock and then glued it on a 

card base. 

Ah yes, I also made a little hat for the girl! -- but only afterwards -- cut out and pasted on!

There are two weeks left until the end of the challenge...

Ho Ho Ho

Hello everyone!
Saturday is 52CCT day and I'm here today with our new challenge.

This week we're using Foil 

...any kind of foil! 

Craft foil, go press foil, deco foil, hot stamping foil, gold leaf foil, aluminium foil etc.

If you want to use foil from the kitchen..here is a video to help you with that.  

My idea for this challenge...

I used self-adhesive holographic foil, stuck it on a piece of cardboard and then die-cut two elements. - The stars are the ones that were removed from the border die-cutting! 

I embossed a piece of red cardstock for the lower third of the card.

I stamped Santa Claus and the little chain you can see in the background on a white cardstock and then glued the punched and embossed parts onto the card. I delimited the embossed part with black washi tape.

Since this month counts five Saturdays, you have two weeks to deal with this topic!

Life is better with fruits!

Hello everyone!
I'm playing with Twofer's Fruit challenge today!

I used the "Tropical" clear stamp set from Stampo/Aladine for my cards. 

My first card is a Thank you card. 

I stamped the fruits on the lower third of the card and then colored it with alcohol markers. I separated the colored area from the white one with a narrow black washi strip and stamped a sentiment from Stampin'Up right above it.

The second card is pretty funny I think!

I imagined a little scene with the fruits on the beach and this is what came out! 

I gave them eyes, feet, arms and mouth - look at my banana-dolphins, aren't they cute!?

I colored with alcohol markers again - sand and the sea are watercolored. The sentiment is from Craft Sensations.

With this card I can wish someone a nice holiday .....I can also imagine it as a funny retirement card!

I had so much fun doing these cards!!

Carnevale di Venezia

Hello everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory!
As you know, the carnival is coming to its climax in the next few days and we thought that the movie

Casanova 

would be a good fit this month! 

On this topic you can show us everything about carnival, Venice, love, vintage etc. 

...and of course a Casanova if you want! ;)

The idea was in my head from the beginning, but I lacked the right image...

Finally I found a mask on Pinterest, which I copied from my mobile phone using parchment paper. First I traced the inner lines of the mask with yellow Pearl Pen and after that was dry, I coloured the mask and cut it out. A few feathers and some white splashes, that's it! 

I added three sequins - the sentiment is from Sampin'Up.

We would be very happy if you would join us!
