Katzelkraft - After the game...

Hello everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft inspiration and good news (see below)
...and I'm playing with the chess stamps again!

I recently made this card. - The leftover paper was too interesting to throw away so I made these two ATC's!

I cut the ATC's to size and stamped the chess board on them. Stamped the chess pieces on the remaining paper, fussy cut and adhered them. On one of them I wrote a quote with white gel pen, and on the other I adhered the embossed word "Checkmate". Both ATC's are backed with black cardstock.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration!! ;)

Don’t miss out!!

Beautiful Day

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating

Beautiful Day

Beauty surrounds us. It is in music, pictures, flowers, people, and pretty much everything else. It is in the smallest and most mundane things we walk past on the street, and in Earth's most magnificent landforms. Today all things of beauty are celebrated. It is unclear who created the day or when they did so, but by doing it they truly did something beautiful.

I love flowers, but curiously they don't show up on my cards very often!
I took the opportunity and made a little bouquet in the form of a pop-up card.

I created the background using a circle stencil and a dot stencil, then speckled it with gold liquid ink. Stamped the flowers, fussy cut them and adhered them with foam tape. Added the sentiment.

The inside of the card is composed of die cut flowers and leaves (colored with alcohol markers), and a vase made from patterned paper. The mechanism consists of a paper tab attached to the vase that pulls the vase inward so that it curves when the card is opened. (see video)

When you open the card a vase with flowers appears....

...and in this video I show you how to make this kind of card!

Have a lovely Happy Beautiful Day!

Katzelkraft - Winter Wonderland

Hello everyone!
Today is Saturday, which means there is a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
As always, we'll start the month with a sketch. (See below)

Look at this deer, isn't it majestic!
He's on one of the three gorgeous new stamp sets that Katzelkraft recently released. (see below)
For this card, I used stamps from all three sets to show you how well they combine. - The possibilities are countless!!!

I stamped the deer on white Bristol paper and then a second time on plain paper. I fussy cut the second print and used it to mask the deer. Stamped the trees, the text and snowflakes and splattered black and green ink over the masked deer.
For the horizontal stripe, I used just a small section of the large background stamp from the Christmas Snowflakes set. I cut it to size, adhered it to the card and stamped the two small snowflakes again.
I embossed the sentiment, cut it to size and fixed it with foam tape. Backed the panel with black cardstock and glued onto a blank card. Hope you like it.

Christmas - the most wondeful time of the year

Hello everyone!
I have the honor to be guest designer for the Stempelgarten Challenge this month.
The theme is: Favorite Stamp
...and there is also a fabulous prize to be won!!! (see the picture below)

I love making Christmas cards, and for this one I used a cute stamp from Wild Rose Studio. One of my very first stamps I bought when I started making cards!

First, I painted the top half of the card with blue watercolor paint and let it dry. Then I speckled thick snowflakes on the card with white acrylic paint and let it dry as well.
Meanwhile, I stamped the image, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut it.
I tore a piece of watercolor paper into several strips and adhered three of them to the card to create snowdrifts. Applied glue along the tears and sprinkled them with snow glitter.
Finally, I adhered the image to the card and stamped a sentiment from Lora Bailora.

Katzelkraft - Checkmate

Hello everyone!
Tuesday is Katzelkraft day here on my blog and today we're playing chess!
I'm using "LE GAMBIT DU ROI", one of three fabulous new stamp sets from Katzelkraft - designed by Isabelle, which you can find on FB, YouTube and IG.
(I have already used the other two sets on this card)

... so let's play chess!

First, I created a background with acrylic paints, starting with a very light corn yellow on a sheet of Bristol paper. These paints dry quickly, so I could move right on with the other colors.
I used an old credit card to apply some black and turquoise and a touch of green. After drying, I stamped the chess pieces, masked them, and then stamped the chess board. Let the ink dry well and then made a few spots of gray acrylic paint here and there.
Finally, I stamped the two words, one in black, the other in white. Backed the card with black cardstock and glued it on a blank card.

Hope you like it.
See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration and "even more new stamps"!! ;)

BOO 👻👻

Hello everyone!
I want to remind you about our current challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie and theme for this month is

Ghostbusters

Maybe you're still looking for some inspiration to make Halloween cards!!?
...if not for this Halloween, then for the next one! ;)

This one was quite easy to make!
I took black cardstock and painted ghost silhouettes on it with a thick brush and white acrylic paint. Acrylic paint dries very quickly and so I didn't have to wait long to give them eyes and mouth with a black permanent marker.
The stars I stamped with white ink. The letters for "BOO" were die cut twice and pasted on top of each other slightly offset. The sentiment is heat embossed on vellum and attached with double sided tape.
I backed the panel with purple cardstock and sandwiched a few scraps of green cardstock here and there as a little allusion to the Slimer.

Happy Halloween
and have lots of fun with the challenge!!
