Lost in Paradise

Hi everyone!

I have the great honor of being a guest designer at Allsorts Challenge this month.

The theme for July is:
At the Seaside

Anything related to ocean and beach

I had a few scraps of sandpaper, stenciled paper, and some floral stuff lying around (see below)
I thought they’d be perfect for creating a beach scene.
I simply applied—or rather, smeared—the colors Peacock Feathers, Fired Brick, and Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide) onto the tag with my finger. To suggest small clouds, I added a bit of white acrylic paint to the sky area.
Next I tore off a few strips of sandpaper and glued them on slightly overlapping. I finished the background of the tag by adding a strip of the stenciled paper at the very bottom so that the coconuts and pineapples would stand out better.
I then cut out two of the flowers, enhanced their appearance a bit, and glued them to the corner along with three punched-out leaves. Behind them, I placed a stamped and cut-out palm tree.

The sentiment comes from a pad of quotes printed on vellum (Deco Time). I tore it to size and stuck it on with a few glue dots. Finally, I attached two ribbons to the tag.

Life is short...

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I wanted to give you a quick reminder on our movie

Spotlight

Highlight or put something in focus

A very simple card today, on which I wanted to make the quote the focal point.
I just stamped the world map (Artemio) onto crumb cake cardstock (Stampin'Up) and added a quote printed on vellum (Deco Time). I then glued the panel onto a blank card and voilà!

Wishing you a nice weekend and lots of time for crafting!

Lost in Paradise

Hi everyone!

I have the great honor to be a guest designer at A Place to Start for the months of June and July.
Here's my card for July, with the theme:

ANYTHING GOES w/OPTIONAL TWIST:
Vellum

You have to look hard to find the vellum on my card! LOL
Here's a hint: the sentiment is written on vellum.

As much as the upper part is clearly visible, the lower part, being on white, is not. Although I embossed this part (waves) to make it stand out, the vellum is almost invisible on the photo. But I assure you, it's there!
Apart from that, I only used pre-cut images to make this card. They all come from a pad I bought a long time ago. Hope you like it.

View of the embossed parchment of the lower part from a different angle.
This embossing folder always damages my vellums and papers! :((

Hope to see you play along at A Place to Start ...

Kleiner Gruss zum Advent

Hi everyone!

Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

The theme is Anything Goes w/optional twist: Any Holiday".
(create something for any Holiday)

The year is already half over and I have to start thinking about making Christmas cards because, as always, the few months until the end of the year will go by far too quickly!
So this is my first for the year!

White on white is not easy to photograph. Here is a view from a different angle.
A jumble of silver threads, heat embossing, vellum and a wreath die-cut from glitter paper.

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

Have a nice day!

Make A Wish

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

Wish
A movie full of fantasy and fun characters....

We say:
Anything Goes
and/or
Make a Wish

You can of course take inspiration from the movie, the poster and the colors.

I stamped the small designs for the candles on different colored cardboard. Cut them out and then pasted them onto the card. At the bottom of the card I added a doily folded in half and above it a strip of tracing paper with the inscription Make a Wish.

Katzelkraft - Winged

Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day :))
For today's project (an ATC) I used the beautiful Winged - Butterfly stamp set and some foliage and background stamps.

First, I created a background with alcohol ink on Yupo paper. I don't do this often, but it happens.
I then cut out a piece of it the size of an ATC and stamped the dragonflies, foliage and background designs on it.
I coated the wings of the large dragonfly with pearl glimmer gel and added some glitter glue here and there.
Finally, I wrote the quote (found on Pinterest) on a piece of parchment paper, tore it off along the writing and stuck it on with double-sided tape. Cut off the excess.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft creation! :)
