...it's the most WONDERFUL time of the year

Hello everyone!
The year is coming to an end and this is my last Christmas card for this year. It will now join all the others that will be designed over the coming year!
With this card I would like to remind you of our current challenge at Dream Factory. This month's movie is:

The Flight Before Christmas
Niko - ein Rentier hebt ab
Niko, le petit renne

Keywords: Christmas, Reindeer, Weihnachten, Noël

I know Christmas is now over, .....but the next one is less than a year away! 😉

A very simple card! The reindeer and fir trees are stamped, watercoloured and fussy-cut. I placed them roughly on the map so that I could color the snowy part. I embossed the snowflakes, glued all the cut-out parts to the panel and coloured its edges with black felt-tip pen. The fir trees on the left and right are fixed with foam pads. I stamped a tiny sentiment and glued the panel on a white base card. Hope you like it...

I wish you a wonderful New Year's Eve and a happy new year!!
Have fun creating - maybe you will find some time for it!

DotMCC Challenge #10 - Reminder

Hello everyone!

Just a little reminder on our current challenge on Day of the Month Card Club!

Our theme:
Poinsettia Day

Hard to believe, but I only have one poinsettia stamp!!
So I completed my card with a few fir branches, a pine cone, some foliage, berries and a big sentiment in the center! I colored the edges of the base card with a black glitter alcohol marker and then glued the panel on.

Hope I made you want to join in...

I wish you a wonderful Christmas Eve with your families and loved ones!
...and see you soon, on our next challenge!

There is ALWAYS a reason to celebrate!

Enough reindeer?

Hello everyone!
A last Christmas card needed?!
It would be great if you linked it to the Dream Factory - our new Challenge starts today!

This month's movie is:

The Flight Before Christmas
Niko - ein Rentier hebt ab
Niko, le petit renne

Keywords: Christmas, Weihnachten, Noël

The background for this card had been on my desk for weeks!
I tried again and again to use it somehow but it didn't really fit - I think today its time has come!!
Everything else was quickly found! I punched out Santa's sled, drew and fussy-cut the reindeers, stamped a few trees on the horizon, tore three pieces of paper and glued everything together. I watercolored with felt-tip pens. The sentiment is computer generated.

Well, I hope you like it!
Have fun with our challenge!

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!
Yesterday I made this birthday card for my friend!! Let's see if you like it!

I used exclusively Stampin' Up products, except the blue color of the flowers, the tiny writing that can be seen just below the black strip, and the cutting die for the holes.
I started by inking white card stock with different shades of green and blue. Stamped the flowers and leaves and die cut them. I cut a wide black strip and punched holes along one border. Stamped a small writing on the card and glued the black strip. I assembled and glued the different cut-outs as you can see, put a piece of golden string between them and popped the "big flower" on foam. Finally I added a tiny sentiment.

Poinsettia Day - DotMCC-Challenge #10

Hello everyone!
Welcome to our 10th Day of the Month Card Club challenge! Our new theme is:

Poinsettia Day
Always celebrated on 12th December

Last week my husband and I spent a few days in Tenerife and I was lucky to photograph this magnificent poinsettia.
I saw red ones and white ones...  didn't know that they could grow so big!

If you are interessted by the history and how to care this truly splendid plant which was discovered by Mr. Poinsett, please read this page, or this one (in German).

Poinsettias are beautiful in all colours, but I like pink best!
I used a poinsettia from a set by Altenew. Unfortunately I don't own this set and so I copied the flower by hand on tracing paper. I then reproduced it inversely in almost invisible lines on the card and coloured it with watercolours.
To make it a bit sparkle, I sprinkled gold embossing powder on a few spots and then heated it from below so that nothing flies away! I cut the image to size, backed it with pink card stock, stamped the sentiment in grey and ended up by mounting the panel on a white card base.

I hope you like it - I'll be back in a few days with more inspiration! Until then I wish you a lot of fun!

Hello everyone!
That's it, in two and a half weeks it's Christmas. I hope all your cards are almost ready to be sent!
For the last challenge of the year, 52 Christmas Card Throwdown invites you to choose one of all the challenges we have submitted to you during 2019. Details can be found on the challenge blog.
You have the whole month of December to make your choice and create a card - maybe the one you are still in need of... or why not the first one for next Christmas!?

I picked the "Snarky" theme  from April.

This image made me laugh and I liked the idea of reproducing it for our last challenge of the year.
It's a drawing by Deligne, a French cartoonist I found on Urtikan.net
I copied it by hand using tracing paper and watercolored with felt-tip pens. The sentiment is hand written.

I hope you like this kind of rather funny humour.

Have a wonderful Christmas - I look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Don't mess with the chef!!

Hello everyone!
Today I would like to remind you of our current challenge at the Dream Factory.
This month's movie is:

No Reservations
Rezept zum Verlieben
Le Goût de la vie

Keywords are: Cooking, Friendship, Family, Love...

I think it is better not to irritate him! Hahaha

I found the little chef, the grill and the sentiment on the internet, copied it by hand and then put it all together to a little scene. I watercolored with felt-tip pens - except for the sky, which is sponged with Tempting Turquoise (SU)! The sentiment is handwritten!
To spice it up, I stamped a few tufts of grass into the green area! - I hope you like my little chef!

Have FUN!
You still have two more weeks to play with us!

Merry Christmas

Hello everyone!
I'll show you another card I made for this week's 52Christmas Card Throwdown Challenge.

...somewhat different but also very simple!
I applied three Disress Oxide colors on an acrylic block, sprayed some water on it and then pressed on the white panel to get the background. After drying I stamped the big sentiment, Santa and his gloves.

I painted Santa's beard with ice-white pearl-pen, added some sequins, backed the panel with black cardstock and glued it to the base card.

Hope you like it...
Have much fun!

'Tis the season

Hello everyone!
Like every Saturday we have a new challenge today on 52Christmas Card Throwdown.
This week's theme is: Watercolour

A very simple card! I stamped the trees, the fox and the stars and then drew the path and the fence with black fineliner. I coloured the sky and the snow with watercolours. I stamped the sentiment and stuck a strip of black glitter washi tape to the lower edge. Very easy, isn't it?!

Wish you much fun!
