Today I would like to remind to our current challenge at the Dream Factory. - This month's movie is: Three wishes for Cinderella.
Not only princesses can be used for this but also snow and woodlands, animals - especially owls, pigeons, horses ..... and, of course, shoes! - (See my first project)!
I do not own a princess stamp, so I had to innovate! ;)
To get my princess, I used a ScrapBerry's stamp and 3 stamps from Scrap Plaisir! ...(see picture below)
But now, in order:
The first thing I did with the help of an acrylic block, was a big pink watercolor spot on the place where the dress should later be. Then I stamped on this spot with two different flower stamps, one in Melon Mambo and one in Bermuda Bay and the dress was done! - The bodice is a leaf without stalk, stamped in black.
Next I covered the dress with a mask (made with the same stamps), stamped the girl's head and arms and colored the subject - with felt-tip pens, as always!
After coloring, I used a Heidi Swapp stencil (+ the mask ) to put the hearts in the background with some Melon Mambo. - I played a bit with the water brush to make the whole softer and I also added a few turquoise color accents!
Finally I die-cut the birds (Memory Box), sat one on the girl's hand and two on a small branch, stamped the sentiment, trimmed the image and glued it to the white base card!
Ah, I forgot, the feet are drawn by hand.
Thanks for reading! .....hope you like my Cinderella!

RépondreSupprimerHow clever to incorporate watercolour as the form of the dress rather than colouring it in. Love this! And love that pink colour :) Thanks so much for joining us at the HLS watercolor challenge! Jenny x
