Do you know the Platypus?

Hello everyone!
No Christmas card today! (😉 @ Cornelia)
A few days ago, Doris told me from her special Australia Challenge at Do-Al(l) Kreatives.
I am very touched by this drama and decided to made a little card for her challenge.

Neither Koala, nor Kangaroo are in my stamp collection - but...
I have a cute little platypus and the platypus is an "egg-laying mammal", which can only be found in Australia.
Even if he spends most of his time in water, it does not mean that he has not suffered from the infernal flames!
The platypus looks as if it is made up of several species! If you want to know more about this strange animal, have a look at this page.

A very simple card for which I used Pumkin Pie (SU), Satin Red (Versafine) and a stencil (Scrap Plaisir) to create the background. I colored the platypus with alcohol markers and cut it out fussy. I added two strips of Washi tape to my background, cut one part of the sentiment into single words and glued them to the card as well as the platypus. VoilĂ !

The trauma must be immense for humans, but even more so for animals, and I hope that all those poor little creatures that have survived will one day be able to find their habitat again! - Not so sure!

  2. Heute kann man sogar noch etwas lernen. Es leben eben viele verschiedene Arten in Australien und jede muss auf ihre Art mit der Katastrophe umgehen. Und die einen brauchen mehr und die anderen weniger Hilfe durch den Menschen.

  5. Hi Rosmarie, I love your cute playpus and so nice to see your stencil used in the sky. There have been lots of skies like this while the bushfires burn. Thanks for sharing with us at 2CraftyCritterCrazies, CarolG.

  7. Amazing card! Love the image of a platypus. A lot of people are forgetting that tere are more animals than koalas and kangaroos in Australia.
