Hello everyone!
It's saturday and I am here with a new challenge on 52CCT!
This week there is a technique challenge - we are looking for Christmas cards with the .....
Heringbone Technique
I first had to find out about this technique. I know the herringbone pattern, but I have never heard of how to use it for card making. ...we never stop learning!
Actually, the technique is very simple. Simply stick more or less wide strips in a certain order on a card and make sure that the strips are neatly edge to edge! Cut off the protruding ends - you can use them for the shorter lengths.
After all strips were glued on, I cut my panel to size and backed it with black glitter foil. Finally I stamped a Christmas tree and added an embossed label.
As you can see, this is a very good technique to recycle leftovers!
This is a "lighter" version with only a small piece of the herringbone pattern.
I wanted to try out the technique with Washi tape and used it for this one. - Looks good too, but it is not as handy as paper!
I hope I could inspire you! Have fun trying it out!

RépondreSupprimeroh my gosh! what a perfect way to do the herringbone! I would. never thought of just part of a card like that. I can take one, cut it and make two cards! smart thinking. very cute card
