Winter Wonderland

Hello everyone!

It's half time at the Dream Factory, and I want to remind you of our current challenge "Ailo's Journey"

The movie tells the story of a newborn wild reindeer's struggle for survival amidst the beautiful landscapes of Lapland. watch

The keywords are: Reindeer, snow, forest, aurora borealis, and of course deer are welcome too!

You can still participate up to and including January 14!

First, I created a circle using masks and Distress Oxide inks. Inside the circle I marked a few snow hills and stamped the fir trees. Then I removed the mask, stamped the deer and the pine cones and again marked small snowdrifts. 

I put on the mask of the inside of the circle and stamped small fir branches, snowflakes and small stars around the circle. I stamped the sentiment and embossed a few snowflakes - not with the Cuttlebug, but just with the force of my thumbs. As a finishing touch, I highlighted the snowdrifts with glue and sprinkled blue micro glitter on top.

Katzelkraft - Rule #1 of 2021...

Hello everyone!

Time flies and we are already back to Tuesday! That means I have a new Katzelkraft creation to show.

I used stamps from the "Les Mordants" set, and a sentiment I found in the internet.

The year was so sad and depressing that I wanted to end it with a card in neutral colors.

I stamped the crayons and masked them. Then stenciled and smooshed the background with gray. Stamped a few spots, letters, numbers, etc and ended with white and black ink splatters. I colored the crayons with alcohol markers. The text is stamped on small labels, trimmed and glued on.

Katzelkraft - The tree isn't the only thing...

Hello everyone! 

It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation, for which I used the ostrich and its feet again! Yes, I know it's already the.... ?? ....do not remember how many! here, here, here...

Mr. Ostrich wants it a little festive today!

I truly adore the expression of this bird, and once again, I couldn't resist using it.

As usual, I sponged the background with Distress Oxide. 

I stamped the feet, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out. Wrapped a thin paper cord around them and glued the hand drawn light bulbs to it.

I stamped the ostrich head and colored it - the body is made from a large brown feather. 

Then added the fir tree, and a wing, for which I also used feathers. 

As a little tweak, I added two Christmas balls to the ostrich's neck.

I wrote the saying on small labels, cut it out and glued it on.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas 

and a happy, healthy, and hopefully better New Year.

Make Today Amazing

Hello everyone!

I needed a birthday card for a friend who likes flowers and cards in a rather classic style. So nothing with Katzelkraft and company today! 😉

Am not so the flowery type, but for my friend, I made a little effort.

The flowers are simply stamped and colored with Aqua Markers. 

I backed the white panel with a larger brown one and glued it on a kraft blank card. 

Added "Make today amazing" as sentiment.

As a little tweak, I added some glitter to each flower center.

My friend liked it very much. Hope you like it too.

Katzelkraft - Smile when it's raining 2

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new creation made with Katzelkraft stamps! 

Gosh! What fun I had using the ostrich and his feet again! - used them here too

This time I combined it with the beautiful quote stamp Smile When It's Raining and the somewhat older raindrops. 

I stamped the feet and head and colored them. Then I stamped the quote. To get a very dark impression, I had to stamp it several times. I used Stampin'Up's Stamparatus for this, so nothing went wrong! 

Then it was the raindrops' turn. I stamped and colored them. 

To make the card look less flat and empty, I sponged the background with blue and gray Distress Oxide.

For the final touch, I stamped the top of the quote, which was the umbrella, in three different colors and cut them out. Put the three umbrellas on top of each other and, holding them firmly in my hand, I cut them into three pieces with the scissors. Then I glued them back together, mixing the colors. Before sticking the umbrella with adhesive pads, I added three or four feathers at the left.

Ailo's Journey

Hello everyone!

Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory. For the month of December we've selected the following movie 

Ailo's Journey

The story of a newborn wild reindeer's struggle for survival amidst the magnificent landscapes of Lapland. 

Reindeer, snow, forest, aurora borealis. Watch

For the aurora, I got inspired by a photo and I tried to recreate it as well as possible. Am quite satisfied with it! 

After the background was done, I only had to stamp the fir trees and the little reindeer. I stamped the reindeer a second time, cut out after coloring and glued on. I deliberately left the card without a sentiment.

DotMCC - Challenge #22 - Reminder

Hello everyone!

Well, were you all nice and well-behaved? 

....we will soon know who is on Santa's good list and who is not! 😉

I am back to remind you of our current challenge at Day of the Month Card Club

Santa's List Day

I made a more traditional Christmas card this time, 

and I even managed to include some beads and a ribbon! - Who would have thought!!!

The first thing I did was to die-cut the large circle. Then I punched out a slightly larger circle from a square of red glitter cardstock than the one I had just made. I stamped the Santa image, punched it out with the same die I used for the red glitter cardstock, and then placed the image in its opening. I backed the card with the red glitter cardstock, making sure Santa was right in the big circle opening. This process prevents too many layers, and the card from getting bumps!

Lastly, I added the sentiment, some beads, 

a ribbon, and a narrow strip of black cardstock.

I hope you are all on the nice list, and that the time until the Christmas holidays passes quickly! ...even if this Christmas will not have the same spirit as the previous ones!
