Keep your dreams alive!

Hello everyone!
It's half time at the Dream Factory, and I want to remind you of our current challenge
This month we have two movies...

A Perfect World + Black Swan

Keywords:
A Perfect World: Men, boys, father/son, bad boys - in short: Something Masculine
Black Swan: Women, Dancing, Tutu, Ballet - in short: Something Feminine

For my reminder card, I took inspiration from Black Swan - more specifically, from the eye on the poster.
My friend Conny gave me this wonderful Lavinia stamp for my birthday and I have never had the opportunity to use it before. - The beautiful stamp was just a perfect fit here!!!
Sponging, stenciling, pearl pen dots, splatters, Distress Oxide.... are the ingredients for this fascinating look. - I just added the the bloody tear and I'm really happy how this turned out!
The beautiful sentiment as well as the tear are from Katzelkraft.

  AND/OR

As always, you can get inspired by the movie posters, the titles and the keywords!
Either choose the film that appeals to you the most, or do something with both - just as you like it!

Have Fun!

Katzelkraft - Une journée à la campagne

Hello everyone!
Tuesday is my Katzelkraft day. My card for this week is made with the adorable "Lapereau" from the new release! I combined it with stamps from the new "Flowers & Nature" set. They are stamps from older sets that were recently reissued by Katzelkraft. This set is also available in French, much to the delight of all lovers of these beautiful stamps!

After sponging the colors in the background, I stamped the images.
The butterfly and the cornflowers I bleached to get the white background back.
I stamped the bunny a second time, cut it out and adhered it. All images are colored with alcohol markers.
Lastly, I stamped the grass with Distress Oxide "Mowed Lawn" and blurred it in places with water.
The sentiment says:  a day in the countryside

Hope you like it! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

All is calm...

Hello everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we want you to

add vellum on a window card

I punched a window from the front sheet of the card and glued embossed vellum behind it.
Through this window you can see fir trees, the full moon and a small log cabin. (Looks better in real)
The sentiment is placed along the window.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - Get your happy on

Hello everyone!
It's Tuesday and that means I have a new Katzelkraft creation for you - made with the adorable "Watson" from the new release!

Swinging, what a relaxing moment....

After stamping, coloring and cutting out Watson, I lightly sponged the background with Distress Oxide. Stamped a few flowers in yellow and gray and lightened the inside with bleach. I also splashed some bleach on the colored area.

I stamped and colored the branch and the leaves - the apples I cut out after coloring and attached them with foam pads. For the swing I colored a piece of cardstock and attached it with a thin cord to the branch. I just had to put Watson on it, and to attach the embossed sentiment at the bottom. I am totally happy with the result.

Hope you like it too. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Bonne Année

Hello everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we want to see

Pinecones

On white cardstock I clear embossed snowflakes and then sponged the background with Distress Oxide.
The pinecones, as well as four of the branches are fussy cut after coloring. The other branches are stamped directly onto the card. For coloring, I just blurred the stamped images with water and used two alcohol markers for the stems and pinecones.
I die cut the New Year's message once from beige and once from dark brown paper, glued one on top of the other and then adhered it to the card. Hope you like it!

Have Fun!!

It's never too late...

Hello everyone!
Today I invite you to play along with our new Dream Factory challenge
This month we have two movies:

A Perfect World + Black Swan

Keywords:
A Perfect World: Men, boys, father/son, bad boys - in short: Something Masculine
Black Swan: Women, Dancing, Tutu, Ballet - in short: Something Feminine

I made a very simple card. Just sponged the background with Distress inks, splashed some water on it and immediately soaked it up with a paper towel. Stamped the birds and the sentiment (Katzelkraft) - the silhouette image is a stamp from Stampin'Up that I colored all black. Backed the panel with black cardstock and pasted it to the blank card.

Over the moooon..... - DotMCC - Reminder

Hello everyone!
It's time for a little reminder of our current challenge at Day of the Month Card Club. The theme is

Cow Appreciation Day

This stamp is actually a giraffe. (see image below)
I left out the horns during inking and drew more appropriate ones after stamping.
I grouped the small spots of the giraffe to make larger ones and that's how it became a cow. :))
The background is lightly sponged with green and stenciled with blue hearts. To suggest the ground, I added two narrow strips of washi tape. Finally I added the sentiment and the thought bubble with the heart.

Have Fun with the challenge!

The giraffe is one of five little fellows from the same set.
