Katzelkraft - Met•a•mor•pho•sis

Hi erveryone!

Have you already seen the beautiful new butterfly stamps from Katzelkraft? 

There are two new sets with butterflies, moths and beetles - in total there are 15 new sets, solo and background stamps. Check them out, I'm sure you'll want them all! ;)

I used the largest of the butterflies and made it pop with the triple time stamping technique I also used on this Christmas card. The technique is very simple and yet very effective. I colored one area with colored pencils and with Wink of Stella and left everything else in black and white - just added a few spatters of green in the background. Wink of Stella makes the wings look like real but unfortunately the beautiful shimmer is not visible in the photo.

Walk in the forest

Hi everyone!

It's the second half on the Dream Factory and I want to remind you of our current challenge.

The movie for this month is

EPIC

The story takes place almost exclusively in the woods, so I came up with a little "fantasy forest walk."

I used stamps from Katzelkraft and an old digi image (snail and fairy) that I got from a friend years ago. I stamped trees and grass on a on a background I made with the Gel Press and colored only the snail and fairy, the oak leaf and two of the mushrooms with alcohol markers. I blurred the edges of the panel with white ink before adhering it to a blank card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the trees. Hope you like it.

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!

Ready for another 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge?  For the last week of the month we are asking you for 

TRIPLE TIME STAMPING

I created my card after watching this video - the technique is really very easy!

The stamps are from Crafty Individuals. I colored them with inks from stamp pads by picking up the ink with a water brush pen and using it like watercolors. I backed the panels with patterned paper and added a Merry Christmas sentiment from Stampin'Up. Hope you like it!

Katzelkraft - Light Bulbe Moment

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation. This week I have been playing with new stamps from Katzelkraft. 

For this tag I used the broken light bulb and sentiment from the SWITCH ON THE LIGHT set, the plants from the CATS ON BOOKS set, a texture stamp from the BIDULES AND THINGS set and the grass from the WILD GRASS set. The crackle in the background is from Stampin'Up and the ants are from Artemio.

The base is a background I made with the Gel Press. I stamped the light bulb and the plants and colored them with alcohol markers. I stamped the light bulb a second time on tracing paper, cut out the top, painted the bulb with Wink of Stella and adhered it to the one already stamped. I masked the bulb and plants and stamped the crackle and grass. Lastly I added ants, texture and sentiment.

I die cut a semi-circular area with "Large Circle Burst" from Memory Box and backed it with designer paper. "Baby Jesus" is a small stamp from WoJ. I colored the image with watercolors, cut it out and adhered it with foam pads. The sentiment is from Stampin'Up.

Katzelkraft - Happy Birthday

Hi everyone!

Usually my Katzelkraft day isn't until Tuesday, but since the new challenge on Dream Factory starts today and this card is full of Katzelkraft critters and I can't make it in time anyway, I'm combining the two for today. 

For this month we have a beautiful animated movie as challenge theme:

EPIC

Keywords: Tiny creatures, (insects, beetles, birds, snails, butterflies, flowers, forest etc.), 

both from the real, as well as from the fantasy world.

Once again I've done myself a pretty fiddly job and actually I could not afford it in terms of time, 

but what the heck, it was fun!

Stamping, masking, sponging, coloring, cutting, cluing ..... 

I used Katzelkraft's whole NOUNOUNES family 

and a tree and sentiments from Stampin'Up to create this XXL birthday card.

Katzelkraft - growing up is optional

Hi everyone!

It's Katzelkraft day. Today I played with the fun meerkats.

I had a small piece of background paper left over that I used for last week's tag and decided to turn it into a bookmark.

It's amazing how much you can squeeze in such a small space without it looking cluttered! I actually managed to fit all the meerkats from the set on it!

All but the lightest one are cut out and glued on after I colored them with alcohol markers. Before that, I stamped a few circles and dots on the background. The sentiment I cut into labels and backed them with black cardstock. To finish the bookmark nicely, I attached a green ribbon to the top.
