Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:
Sweet Little Things
The French movie with the original title “Les petites victoires”
is about the small victories in life.
We say:
"Anything small-sized will do"
Small animals, small objects, small card sizes, small homemade gifts, etc.
We were recently invited to dinner at a friend's house.
As a small gift and thank you, I made this paper lamp.
It consists of many narrow strips that are glued slightly overlapping onto an open, round base.
At the top, the strips are simply laid on top of each other one by one and then twisted. It holds together on its own, but you can add a little hot glue to the opening to be on the safe side.
Place the lamp over an LED tea light and the magic happens...
For this lamp, I punched stars out of some of the strips and decorated the twisted area with die-cut leaves and a cord.
I don't want to praise myself, but the hostess was absolutely delighted! Hope you like it too :)
If you are interested, you can find detailed instructions for a larger paper lantern here.
....mine only has a diameter of about 6 cm.
