Underwater...

Hello everyone!
Yesterday, I discovered a new technique on Cornelia's blog that I absolutely had to try!

This is the result!

I absolutely loved this technique that Cornelia learned from Heindesign! If you want to try it too, don't hesitate - it's very well explained and very easy to do! ...and I think its fantastic!

I masked the card with masking tape that I ripped lengthwise to have irregular edges. Then I placed three small dots of different acrylic colors on a small sponge and applied the color from top to bottom and from left to right, overlapping slightly each time, and trying not to mix the colors too much between them....
I removed the masking tape and let dry the panel - which goes pretty fast with acrylic colours!
Then I applied white acrylic color on a flat surface, using an old credit card.
I used this thin layer of color like an ink pad and was able to stamp all the images in this way. - It works really great! The only thing you have to respect is to wash the stamps as soon as possible with water and a toothbrush, so that the acrylic color doesn't have time to dry on the stamp! - Otherwise it's super easy to do!
Finally I added the sentiment, which I cut into three parts so that it looks not too massive.

I hope I have awakened your curiosity and creativity! - I wish you a lot of fun in case you try it too!
Have a nice week!

Water Dwellers

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

Splash

All water dwellers can be used .....including mermaids 😉
... and we look forward to your works!

A very quick and simple card.
I colored the image with felt-tip pens and added some tiny fishes. I cut it out and stuck it on a white card on which I first splashed black ink. I stamped the sentiment on a white paper strip, ripped the ends and glued it underneath the image.

I discovered this image on Pinterest .....it was very easy to draw but sorry, I can not mention the artist - I was not able to find him. If anyone recognizes this drawing, please let me know.

Have a happy day!

Finding Nemo -- Reminder

Hi everybody
Two more weeks have run away and it's time to remember to the current challenge at the Dream Factory!
In these two weeks I have added nothing new and that's why you still have fish today! * LOL *

You can see four species on my card:
a cat fish, a moon fish, a parrot fish and...
the main character of the story - a clown fish!

These are not stamps but drawings for April Fools. I found them so super funny and could not resist.
I drew them on my watercolor background and highlighted some parts with felt-tip pens, to better bring out each fish.

I hope you love what you see....

Thank you so much for your visit !

Hugs, Rosi

A bientôt

Rosi

The Little Mermaid

.... an animated musical fantasy film, based on the Danish fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
Our Dream Factory Team has selected this enchanting movie for the August challenge.

Here's my idea ...

Fishes, water, boats, shells, beach, sirens ...are the keywords of this challenge!
I must say that I do not possess so much pictures of this category and once again I had to be resourceful otherwise! - I think you know what I mean ;)
This little mermaid is a printable image of a Lalaloopsy fashion doll - BUT ... it isn't printed! I copied with pencil and tracing paper from the PC! This is my preferred method - it saves me to buy stamps or images that I would rarely use ;)
...I think it will make a nice card for a little girl :)

I colored with felt-tip pens and water. On the fish and the mermaid's tail, I spread somewhat, with sequins mixed Glossy.

Crochet, knitting, sewing, boxes, cards ..... all is welcome!
Come, play with us and create some wonderful things with this enchanting fairy tale.
We are looking forward to see what you'll do :)
